For those who haven't seen it yet; check it out.
It's great that they put MVC back to where it was and show the StriderXSpidey rivalry.

I love how you guys finally got your Strider place to be, enjoy!

Wow, I thought I was the only one who remembered Strider was paired off against Spiderman during the MVC2 re-release. That old trailer was sick. My two favourites from each company going at it.

Spider-man and Strider were paired against each other since before that lol

Oh wow Ouroboros shots do 0 chip? wat?

@Nick, i assume there will be more to that trailer, since Vanilla's episode 1 trailer was pretty short at the beginning. The detailing and graphics of this new (what i call episode 5) is just fuckin spot on, and the best part is that Strider is in it as a MAIN.
I think the pairing is right, WolvieXRyu, DanteXGhost Rider, SpideyXStrider, i would have prefered PhoenixXAkuma but Wesker was just bad ass in that trailer so it's a good save. Hopefully the extended version of that has MagsXVirgil, AkumaXDorammu and stuff like that....

Lets be honest... Ouroboros looks like ass now. If it's going to be level 3 then atleast let it chip and have the orbs hit. All these nerfs are the marks of a toned down level 1 ouroboros... I really don't know what they were thinking making it level 3.
The trailer was hilarious, they even put in a clip of it frantically getting push blocked.
Kef, post: 5617355 wrote:
And also it has more start-up after the super startup animation and with no invisibility frames apparently. Also, the new pushblock just kills the lock-down without an assist.
Hopefully the Ouroboros itself or with XF are powerful enough to compensate.
Many Strider teams are gonna have to create combos based on meter more than damage now. Thankfully Zero builds lots of meter
HaikuWar, post: 5617649 wrote:
so for now I see Strider teaming with anyone who can build meter/Doesnt use much meter/has a Zoning style assist, extended assist that keeps an opponent in place
Good builders Zero,Magneto,Taskmaster,Dante
Good assist Dante ( Jam ) Taskmaster ( Any arrows ) Doom ( Honestly any of them )
Zero ( Only in Sougenmu any assist but his SRK ) Akuma ( tatsu ) and thats just some examples
Strider seems very true to his MVC2 being he is gonna need a solid team built around him to be fully useful and hes not just a * throw him on the team * character.

Everytime I've seen Oroboros activated in a match, its almost always converted into a kill. Clockw0rk with 3 days of practice at an event was able to kill one of Dios X's characters just with orb mix ups. And Dios X is fucking good. It's 50 minutes in: http://www.twitch.tv/marquezsf/b/290868369

Where can I find footage of Floe's Strider?
Also, Cisco and Haiku, you guys are also going to use Zero+Strider right?
Locke815, post: 5617808 wrote:
Strider's Orbs are somewhat weak atm especially when you compare it to Dante's DT.
-last 10 sec
-new moves like flight,etc
-some invincibility start up
-no recovery I think?
-no meter gain
-no chip dmg with normals but still chip with specials
-last about 5 sec
-no meter gain
-no chip dmg but still chip with specials?
I might have miss some points here and there. Not too much info on orbs so I can't fully speculate too much on it but I think it should be at least lvl 1 or 2 since it is only dangerous when combine with XF atm. 3 meters+XF is an expensive price to pay to kill 1 character.

DEF sticking with zero now after doing the theory team stuff. We should discuss the zero/strider on zero threads later though.
