Definitely on this when it comes out, but I don't think I'll waste money on the PDP stick... haven't heard very good things about it, and I'd probably just be better off dual-modding my PS3 MadCatz TE.

1. UMk3 is the finished version of the MK3 engine. MK3 isnt a game. It was just a start.

2. yes, the first incarnations of MK3 were broken. Unmasked Sub-Zero was terribly, awfully broke.

3. UMK3 has its issues, but its still the best MK, and its not broken.

4. MKT is a bad console port, not even entirely done by the actual MK team. It was not tested, and it just smashed into a wall broken.

5. Noob is the most broken in MKT, but Rain, MK1 & MK2 versions of Jax, Kung Lao, Kano & Raiden, along with bosses and others, are very fucked up.

As great as UMK3 is, MKT is just that bad. Fun? sure. But i fucking hate it with a passion. More so because of what it was supposed to be, and what it was not.

Now take the idea of the unfinished MK HD Kollection and just remake MKT instead - refilmed, 100% rebuilt from the ground up - Fuck yes.

thats why id rather have em them umk3.

also i wonder why they didnt put in mk4? would be sweet to have 1-4.

also since umk3 was taken off xbox live i can understand why it would be put in.

Believe me when i tell you UMK3 is SOOOOO much better than MK3. its not even close.

MK4 Arcade Revision 3.0 has never ever been fully emulated. Partially, but due to the weird hardware the game was built on,
it was never done and the ports - N64, PS1 & PC - N64 being the best....seriously...just never played as good as the arcade revision 3.0.
MK Gold was to MK4 as MKT is to UMK3 - More characters, more arenas, more broken, stupid shit.

yes, its there, but she is "banned" LOL but seriously, MK4 should be in there, especially since its an Arcade Kollection. MK1 is alllll nostalgia. Playing it is very archaic, especially in a serious manner imo.

I'm actually really excited for this. I love some UMK3 and I'm also interested in playing MK1 and MK2 online against people who take fighting games seriously. I am guessing this has been in the works for a while seeing as they took UMK3 off of the XBLA a WHILE ago.

So I was contacted by my buddy KornKombat yesterday on Twitter who confirmed via his contact at a Gamestop in Oklahoma, as I was confirmed this morning by my buddy who works at Gamestop that the PDP MK Retro sticks have indeed been delayed ONE WEEK until September 6th. Why? No clue, but this, in my opinion is absolutely ridiculous seeing that the sticks are packaged with codes to download the MKAK, and the game comes out on August 30th-31st.

This sucks. And its extremely uncool. How are you gonna tell people "if you pre-order it now, you get the code packaged in to Download the MKAK", but have to wait a full week after MKAK comes out to get it.

Fucking lame.

Jeez the netcode is beyond broken. Game runs at 1/3 speed even on green connections. Tons of game breaking glitches reported already of the CPU attacking before the match starts. This is a major letdown, hopefully it'll get patched up the wazoo, if not I guess there's still UMK3 on the SNES...

Its a shame about MKA because the UMK3 net code especially is really bad, I had UMK3 when they 1st put it on the MP and the net-code on that standalone DLC was pretty good, I hope they can fix the problems but it doesn't look good.

Everything is kinda choppy, seems unresponsive at times.
I just got beat 4 times in a row in MK2 by Reptile (2nd on totem pole) who did nothing but throw me, which seems to beat every attack.
In MK 1, Scorpin's teleport often decides it doesn't want to work if you're trapped in a corner, which is a bummer because that's when when it can really come in handy.
Would love to see some bugs fixed.
I'll wait for the patch, just the nostalgic feeling I got from it is good for now though.

On MK2...
I did like 3 sweeps in a row, once they get close they start to throw. It's also impossible to land projectiles, like sub zero's ice ball. Where's a game genie, when you need it.

Not true. Maybe in MK 1 and 2 you couldn't, but UMK3 you certainly could, and still can. I played this one more than the other two back in the day so I thought it was the same all around.
