Jumping into the Denjin was classic. Made me reevaluate how good my decision making is. The answer seems to be "questionable."

Our games got more loose and wild as time went on I think. I spent portions of our matches and later on against Dander trying to put Ken and Ryu far stand fierce to best possible use. What an awesome move.

I thought we both had exciting and refreshing Yun play. people don't even know about that.

Throwing Joudan at him didn't work from those times I remember. I don't think that was how I intended it.

I do have the plan to follow after like Alex powerbomb pushing really far with an elbow slash to get over there and still preparing the stomp with the Remy kind of charge partition, for this same kinda idea.

I did look over Joudan vs Tatsu frame data before, for time of recovery. Granted it feels like throwing the Fastest one vs using a LK Tatsu instead gets punished more as Ryu keeps his leg out there. He looks really open to being hit so nobody hesitates to do just that.

Watching the Dirtmaster set (Big surprise) why weren't you parrying the first hit of EX Flash and going for Low Forward? Dirt is better at parrying then me but you don't want to keep throwing out EX Flash against the Shoto's.

EX flash would beat out a low forward attempt, and it's unnecessary to parry it since its too much of a risk

    If i miss the parry, that's a knockdown + stun + damage

even if i get the parry and commit to low forward, 2nd hit will beat it then its knockdown + damage

idk why you would think that's a viable option though O_o

Maybe it's just online play (dudes would call me out on it on 3SOE) but if they parry the first hit of EX Flash they can follow up with Low Foward because the 2nd hit of the EX has a smaller hitbox.

not worth it imo, they rather take the risk but you can just confirm super off of the parry if you rly wanted

I like to record my own game play without filling the SF3 match servers with more scrub matches than it already has. I'm a bit sloppy and I'll admit that in these videos I come off noobish. I play using a game pad. It's the only way I can play Ibuki online. Nothing really special here I suppose.

A Side note on my matches in general
    Best Match ups vs:
    Urien
    Hugo

    Worst Match ups vs:
    Makoto
    Akuma

For some reason I tend get blown up by Akuma. I need to learn how to handle him and Makoto. Still working on it. I upload videos from street fighter 3 and 4 looking to improve by receiving criticism, tips, advice, or comments about anything I do right or wrong.

Geez is that what it looks like without lag? It's worse than with frequent rollbacks. Why is it all running so fast? Everyone here makes it sound like it ran slightly faster on the ps2. Fuck no, ps2 pales in comparison to this shit. Bad taste in my mouth. Blagh.

I guess I have been very fortunate. Now I cannot say I have lag free matches all the time... however I'm using free wifi in my area and it somehow supports my xbox live game plays.

Anyway I dedicate this video to you, "intheroughest". After our first encounter, you mentioned various mix ups and videos I can learn from. Now I can pull of some of those mix ups as well... so thanks:

i mentioned this to someone else, i don't think it was you radiofox, maybe it was though...

with kunai, think about using the jab kunai (i think? the shortest horizontal distance one, very steep angle) to cut off the other players way of advancing on you. its a really powerful tool to take up space. it takes some practice to get the spacing down really well but once you know it, it can really mess with how someone can approach ibuki. if they parry, block or get hit its all pretty much safe or mostly good for you. they need to start looking for ways to dash in and assume what you're doing on your neutral jump.

just something worth keeping in mind to expand your playing.

also hehe nice reset/fakeout dash under.
    that's some ORO SHIT.

edit: this is on neutral jump btw.
    Play more.

I want to see some super jump cancel air chase!

From there you can opt for ambiguity with EX kunai to make them pop up over you and let you land first for a free ground cross up or you can fierce forward target combo in and decide on a course of action that still provides you the option of a ground cross up. Once you get one of those launchers it's like mix-up city.

I'm going to take a break for a while to keep up with my studies. I'll return with better mix-ups and Ibuki shenanigan videos. Till then... One last Ibuki video:

    Pretty sick dude

There's too many considerations. Sometimes you do it just to show off against a player you are confident against. Either way I think its good to practice in casuals in case you need it some day. Being up a round, and having a life lead in r2 is a pretty safe place to go for red parry though.

    that was sick.

also why wouldn't you go for it online in matches that don't mean anything.
i go for red parries almost everytime theres a blocked super or any long multihit normal. why not really.

So here is my first really successful red parry into max punish in a match.
Here is my question: was it worth it from a risk/reward perspective?

If I missed the parry and got hit by Jinrai I'd still have two bars and could teleport out of a post super ambiguous cross up. Could even get hit with a jump in combo on wake up and would still be alive with two bars and one round up. Pretty risky to do that red parry with Gouki unless its to escape chip kill but then I feel it puts a nice bit of fear in the opponents heart when you pull of such a big parry into punish.

Im going to red parry you to death. .l.
im not that good , but there's always room for improvement... i think

rearry? Does Ken cross under him?

You think jump forward then back instead of neutral jump would net him a combo?

The problem is that he can't get in the air fast enough after the parry. For whatever reason he gets hit by the next hit of jinrai trying to jump. I'm not sure if you have enough time to air parry on the way up, but I can't do it.

He can get jump and double jump combos on Q and Hugo after red parries of SA1 and SAIII respectively though.

Jump parry is allowed, but timing a neutral immediately after an input on OE will prove difficult .
