Hey eightarc will you in the future start producing the Fusion with handle and six button panel as an option this will be epic if you do, also almost forgot does the Fusion also have a detachable usb cord.
Hello 725 produce one of those Q3 in all it's naked wooden glory stained of course and semi-gloss coated that would make for an awsome limited edition.

Hello 725 produce one of those Q3 in all it's naked wooden glory stained of course and semi-gloss coated that would make for an awsome limited edition.
That would look great! But our wood is actually MDF which doesn't have any grain to show off. But thanks for the recommendation on using something like oak or walnut or one of the fancier strains out there. Thanks for the feedback.
Hey eightarc will you in the future start producing the Fusion with handle and six button panel as an option this will be epic if you do, also almost forgot does the Fusion also have a detachable usb cord.
We're always taking your feedback into consideration. Eightarc and Qanba have a close-knit partnership and your feedback translates directly to future improvements.
The Fusion has a USB compartment similar to the TE.
Check out http://eightarc.com/products for some large eye candy pics of all the joysticks from different angles. Also on each joystick page, there is a PDF spec sheet that details all of the features with description callouts.
These are just like the Qanba's (q3 and q4raf), not? Except for the detachable cable.
They look nice though (especially the piano finish ones), I just can't understand why a Q4 is cheaper than the Fusion. Same in Europe where you have Qanba and BigBen (who partnered with Qanba, I think) promoting the same stick (same stick - different price - different brand). Not to bash, 'cause these sticks seem to be really good & sturdy, but I think it's a bit confusing.
Hey 725 when I go on the site from a mobile phone I get to a section that gives me the option to get a Qanba joystick in different colors blue, white, red you get the picture I assume these are q4raf limited edition's if so the price is too high $250.00 not including shipping might as well order Q4raf LE from other sites it is cheaper and also the price on the fusion is high $185.00 plus add shipping it is more expensive then q4raf same stick start button moved to the side different label come on help us help you.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and be an ass. Thank you for informing us, but you don't have 50 posts nor have you been a member here 6 months. And you're basically selling your product right here. Gotta earn your stripes like everyone and fair is fair.
Yes, they are wood similar to the Q3. They have the same finish and there is no microphone jack for the model joystick.
Apologies for being blunt but you have made at least four key mistakes with this product:
360 arcade sticks need a mic jack unlike the PS3 versions. By not installing one you have forced people to use the bad quality wireless sets.
The modular USB jack should be 'Type B' as these are significantly more durable than the 'Type A' used with these
There is no cable bay area to store the detachable USB cable
There is no carry handle
I can understand why these decisions have been made as your company has chosen to recycle the older Qanba 3 model because it is simpler to copy than to innovate. But it is a real shame you did not consider using the much improved Q3 Empire Arcadia edition as a template to work on. I hope that any future releases will bear these criticisms in mind.
The wooden shell containing the Qanba 4 pcb would also be something to consider as it would be unique to the arcade stick market. The spare buttons on the side (there should be two IIRC) can be used to activate the console switch and whatever else if needed. Or you could use the original 2-way switch hole found on the back of Q3 sticks next to the USB jack.
Oh - selling the clear panels is a good idea, and it would be great to see some using just 6 button holes for the people who don't like using button hole plugs.
PS3 Ebony and Fusion use the Qanba 4 shells. All the other models use Qanba 3 shells, the only difference I can tell (without looking at the motherboards) is the back metal plate not having a 2-way switch hole.
So would that mean the joystick is mounted at the same height as the Q3? It's been noted that there is less shaft distance from the base to the balltop. It's an issue for me because I play on PS3 but I go to tourneys that are on 360 where I probably have to borrow a TE, I don't want to be thrown off by the differences, most joysticks AFAIK are mounted at TE standard height.

Sorry, I wasn't aware of this rule. Even on my original ID I do not have 50 posts, but I've been a member since 2004.

Thanks Satan's Haze. The joysticks are beautiful.
There are other differences between the Qanba joysticks and the Eightarc joysticks:
detachable cable on the ISO PS3 Onyx, ISO 360 Onyx, and ISO PS3 Pearl joysticks as you've already mentioned
the start button has been removed from the top panel and moved to the mini buttons on the upper right for the ISO PS3 Ebony and Fusion Ebony
removal of the carrying handle
Additionally, we're located in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area, have a warranty of 90 days, and have all the replacement parts and joysticks in stock.

Thanks for informing us Typhoon01. You've definitely been most helpful with all your suggestions. This was actually an earlier version of our site where it was possible to purchase the button colors and balltop colors already assembled onto the joystick. Instead we had decided on letting the player do that if they chose and offer all the parts to do so on our site. We've got a wide array of colors for balltops and buttons to choose from.

No worries, gahrling. Although we may have differences in opinions on our decision for this product, we definitely appreciate your feedback. When designing this joystick, we've considered all these features to present to you the most optimal design. It is impossible to create a joystick that will make everyone happy which is why we have five different joysticks that have different combinations of features at different price points. Thank you for the insightful comments and we'll definitely keep them in mind for our future products. I really like your idea for the 6 button clear panel and we'll see if we can get these available soon since these are easier to manufacture.

We've changed the wireless Q3 to a detachable USB cable for the ISO joystick. Eightarc and Qanba joysticks use different faceplates than MadCatz faceplates and also use different manufacturing techniques.
Both distances from the bottom of the balltop to the top panel are an inch for the TE and Eightarc joysticks.

Issues raised aside, I have little cause for complaint with the original Q3. I own one myself and it is a pleasure to use, I prefer it to the TE Fightstick in many ways. Just disappointed the improvements made with the Empire Arcadia edition have been seemingly lost to history.
6 button panels will certainly be easier to manufacture than new metal top plates, though that would also be interesting as you could then offer customers a full range of button layout options, such as Sega Astro City and SNK.
yo! i was interested in buying the fusion, i live around the bay area and was wondering if local pickups/ purchases were available... i have a few friends also who would be interested in buying duel modded sticks out the box! please lmk asap

Hi BartStation. We plan on meeting with the crew with IPlayWinner on Monday at Dragon Lounge and we'll be bringing some of our sticks too. We plan on attending Gamecenter this Thursday for their TNT and Southtown on Sunday when they have their tournaments. One of these Wednesdays, we plan on going to San Rafael's Starbase in the North Bay too. Hope to see you there!

Talked this over with Kyle. We're giving these guys a pass for now seeing as they essentially are Qanba.

@eightarc I participate in all those venues (Starbase/TNT/Dragon Lounge/Southtown) and would be willing to help advertise on stream. TNT will not be running next week because the tournament organizer will be in Arizona for Devastation.

We've updated our website to allow international orders now! Now shipping worldwide!!!
Order buttons and balltops with your joystick now and we'll install them free of charge before we ship out (while supplies last). Your 90 day warranty is unaffected by our installation.
I like the fact it doesn't have a handle. BTW, I love my Qanba Q3 EMP & was thinking about getting one of the PS3 Onyx but wish it had a USB storage compartment. Oh well...

do the replacement buttons cost extra?
if they are are you guys going to ship out the old buttons as well?
I'm really thinking about ordering the dual modded stick. I really can't find anyone to do it for me where I live, so this isn't really bad for the price. Will be buying soon!
Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 - Zero/Magneto/Taskmaster
SSF4 - Rufus / Makoto / Dudley
Tekken 6 - Bob / Lars / Leo
Street Fighter X TEKKEN - Rufus/King
Does the price include shipping? i went to checkout to see what the price would be and it took me to paypal right away with just the price of the stick.
No it does not. Once taken to the paypal page, there should be a box where it asks you to enter your zipcode, then it calculates shipping cost. I just ordered one, and I live in PA. Shipping came out to $20. On a plus side, though, it was shipped the same day I ordered it. I'm very happy with that. I can't wait for this to come and to compare/contrast this stick to the Qanba Q4.

OMG I want the PS3 Pearl!
I had to get my friend to do a complete gut and custom mod to get my Wireless PS3 Q3 dual modded and wired(by using the USB charging port and cable as a playable plug):
Love the revisions on the PS3 Pearl and Onyx:
-New colors!
-Got rid of the indent and red pinstripe the Q3 had
-Side buttons look way better(flat/flush)
Hmm, just emailed Qanba's about inquiry about getting a case from them, should just shoot you guys the question instead.
I am so tempted to buy 2 PS3 Onyx joysticks, but shipping cost is $75 for each joystick to Canada. I hope a Canadian retailer supplies these eventually.

Hi VoodooJD. My suggestion is to get some friends together to do a group order to save on shipping. Our international shipping tops out at $250 whether you buy 4, 5, 10, or 50 sticks. We are the sole supplier of these joysticks. If you have any other questions feel free to shoot us an email at info@eightarc.com
Eightarc, I got a question
How similar/ dissimilar your sticks are to your partner Qanba?
Any parts you use from Qanba?
Reason I ask because I wrote the buying guide that sticked here at SRK TT, and I want to add Eightarc arcade sticks to the listing.
Thanks for the interest Darksakul. Eightarc and Qanba have partnered together a special line of joysticks. We took what we thought were the best features of all the legacy Qanba joysticks and put our spin on them. Qanba uses Sanwa and Seimitsu parts, and together we are producing joysticks.
If you're looking for more detailed info on the joysticks like cord length, dimensions, weight, etc., there's actually a PDF with detailed specs when you visit each individual joystick page on our website. I put those PDF's together myself so they're kind of my pet project :) As always, feel free to email us at info@eightarc.com if you have any other questions. Looking forward to seeing an update to your sticky thread.
Any chance we'll get an art template to work with for your sticks? I just ordered a Fusion from you guys, and am planning on changing the artwork, ball top, and buttons.
TvC: Frank West/Casshern UMvC3:She-Hulk/lol/lol PSABR:Drake/Kat (RIP Barrels) Persona 4 Arena: Aigis (Former Kanji main/fraud) Injustice: Harley Quinn (This'll be a blast!)
If Suda makes a No More Heroes fighting game by teaming up with Aksys, I'd probably play nothing else ever.

Hi Dopples, I've got this on my to-do list. Adobe Illustrator (.AI) templates will show up on our website soon (in the clear panels area).
@ eightarc....I know this is probably an udea for the minority if players...have u ever thought of offering a stick with Korean parts for the tekken players? I know is be down to get one but like I said its probably just for the minority of us lol
Previous signature removed per hakdizzles request in order to obtain voltech stick.....
I was a little bit worried when he plugged the stick back in and all the LED's started flashing.. and did not stop. Was it not syncing correctly or is that just a standard response for PS3 controllers?
