I hate when you're playing smoothly and then all of a sudden you get hit with lag, it's the worst. Also, since I got bodied by a bunch of dante's today I'm salty about his long combos :(

I always xfactor skrull and go for the kill when I play vs him. It is usually their best (and most random) character and 7 times out of 10 they always go for his stupid anti air command grab which I've learned to read from all my online experience.

Dont worry, once you get the hang of fighting vs him, you'll fuck him up most of the time.

Lag switchers: You play a match, everything goes just fine, win or lose. No taunting, no trash talk, no teabagging.

Next match, you're stuck in a pool of molasses while your opponent is all over the place like fucking Seabiscuit with a rocket pack strapped to his back.

THEN they have the nerve to taunt, talk trash, teabag, and leave the lobby.

This doesn't make me salty, but I thought I would put it out there and see what some people thought.


I find it funny when creating matches in Ranked cause I can't find one with Quick or Custom, that I come across people who are 3rd Lord/Judge etc or higher that appear to have an ego problem. Most games are actually fun, almost bodied a 4th Judge last week I think (while I'm a fighter with little over 100 ranked games) that during matches when a character goes down, and it's that second or so before another shows up, people of Cosmic Lord seem to feel they need to make themselves look big by teabagging or taunting, coupled with taunting either at random when full screen or post match.

To me, I actually find it hilarious that people seem to feel the need to make them look big to someone random at a fighting game that, when played online should never be taken seriously. I do wonder how many gloating egotistical Cosmics there are in Ultimate?


If you want to make me salty, it's a case of, your connection showed 4-5 bars, why the fuck do my light take an age to come out. Stop downloading porn when playing games online.

I know that this isn't just a UMVC3 thing but I just lost a ranked match that should've been mine, because the fucking Xbox controller died. I needed to vent this out and as of now..... I'm still salty about it goddammit, just one more hit and that would've ended it, but fucking microsoft and there goddamn battery draining controllers. There goes my 5 game winning streak and the guy wasn't even that good.

XF3 is the #1 source of salt.. you kill the rest of the foe's team, he activates his juice and gets a completely brutal comeback.. probably unfair
next is dropped combos and being knocked out in one combo.. the feeling of being so close to a kill and being so helpless of being killed so tortures the fighting game soul

Nothing exactly gets me too hot and bothered when I'm playing(aside from lag if I'm playing online and all that), but seeing people lose to Vergil in offline tournament play is always such a heartbreaker for me... kinda pisses me off.

Frank Wack, and Wesker. I see waves and waves of people doing the same shitty combo over and over and over again. Frank/Wesker is too brain dead, especially online, where it's nearly impossible to punish anything. Fucking abc assist snapshot abc snapshot super. I get it, you have you're frank west insta-level 5 combo, big whoop, then you go about spamming jump M and S and assists until you get a hit. That plus lag is infuriating enough for me to write on a message board about how shitty it is.

I guess the main thing that irks me is that people that play online a lot have these patterns that they never diverge from, they play the same game every time and never try new things. It's extremely annoying and boring to play with people like that, and it seems to be a large part of the online community that does it. By patterns, I just mean the same setups, same mixups, same combos, it's just boring and predictable. Every once in a while I find a player that seems to use their head while playing and we proceed to have good matches, if the network allows it.

If you think Frank/wesker is brain dead then wait till you see Hulk/Sent/Wesker. The only wesker that I hate are anchor weskers. Its basically saying, "I have no confidence in my team so I'm just going to mash with XFLV4 wesker just in case"

What do you mean wait until? I've been playing this game since vanilla came out. I've seen all the derp that online has to offer. I was just getting what actually bothered me off my chest if you actually read my post. It's not the characters themselves, it's the way people choose to play them.

dante: teleport+air S+ hammer
cpt america: down H
Its kinda funny because these patterns are more common on higher ranks.

Not gonna repeat what we all know about online, but I can say that ever since I started hitting up the locals I don't miss that shit one bit.

Recently though, I've gathered a big hatred for those of you running xxx/HM. I mean stop hiding behind that shit, because I will blow Doom's ass out of the water. I just hate that when I'm putting Doom on life support I get hit by a fucking missile and it ruins my opportunity to snuff that bastard out. That shit is gay.

Anchor Strider makes me salty beyond belief. K hold this fullscreen projectile garbage while I teleport around you and cross you up a ton and any touch leads to death, plus 50/50 mixups on incoming characters that will lead to death.

I also hate Spencers who randomly throw out Bionic Arms when they see a mixup coming, and sometimes even when you're blocking.

I've talked to plenty of high ranking players and have a good few are friends on my account. I also do know that Andre is a good player, I was more talking in terms of that's how bad some of these high rankers act like with their play where they seem to think their high rank (4th and higher) gives them the right to act like a douche just because they won enough games to get a pretty image next to their name. You put that like only 4th or higher act like that pretty much most of online act like that I'm a high lord and I play/ speak to other high ranking players and very few act like dicks some are good players/ go to tournaments and to be honest the people who are like going 1300/2000 and are mid ranked tend to be twats more than higher ranks

Still not at that level that I can dominate them consistently and sometimes they even destroy me like 5 games in a row (which really sets me off) I understand that just doing combos in training mode isn't the entire thing, but the people at the arcade are way too fucking good and online seems to always lag when I start comboing. Don't have anyone on my level here locally really.
