Well boys and girls, I have been hitting the lab with Takuma combos and I have been seeing the power of EX command grab. I'm starting to feel like this is going to be an essential combo tool in the future, and because of it, I'm going to write out my 100% stun, 100% kill combos in order of meter usage.
2 meter (that's right, 2 meter to 100%) corner/close to corner only:
j.C / D, cl.C f.B xx [db]~f+D, [db]~f+B, [db]~f+B, cl.C xx fbf+AC DC HCB+BD, j.C, cl.C f.B xx [db]~f+D, [db]~f+B, [db]~f+B, cl.C xx fbf+AC DC HCB+B cl.C f.B xx [db]~f+D, [db]~f+B, [db]~f+B, cl.C (stun) j.C / D cl.C f.B xx [db]~f+D, [db]~f+B, [db]~f+B, cl.C xx fbf+AC DC HCB+B cl.C f.b xx [db]~f+D, [db]~f+B, fbf+P
Long combo, right? The rest are similar, but I'm still going to post the rest with some abbreviations if possible. Basically this one is a good one to practice because there's only one HCB+BD, j.C link and you still get 100%. You may be wondering how this is only 2 meters when it uses 4 meter and 3 drive. It's because you build the meter while doing the combo. You can also end the combo in a super if you want to style since you're at a net loss of 1 meter by the end of the combo.
Now that that has gone over, I want to do a "brief" paragraph on how to link j.C from EX command grab. The reason I say j.C instead of j.D is because the way the move hits, the slower startup, and maybe I'm crazy, but the slightly more hit stun, it's just a much easier normal to be able to get the cl.C afterwards. Basically you want to get the jump on the first possible frame, because when you do you get a day and a half to get the j.C link. The first frame you can jump on is AFTER Takuma retracts his hand, so how you want to time it is wait for the "hit" when he does the grab, then right after buffer the hop. Then you want to delay your j.C just slightly, but make sure you put a delay after the hop. When you get this rhythm down, it's a pretty easy link actually. Anyways, back to combos.

Why is it juicy? Because it starts from a LOW. 100% stun, 100% damage, starting from a low.

Those are some hot combos. I find the timing of the cr. a into light dash kick to be too strict so i normally just stick to what i know and just use his hd combo.
check out this video 08:34 and probably his best hd combo, with 1 meter does 92 percent damage if done properly.

Also you can't connect his +lk into +hk charge move. In order for the move to connect you have to connect a standing C. to give you a enough time to buffer the move so you have enough charge. doing a standard stand C into Downback hk. = level 2, can easily do 526 damage. Once you get the timing down it's not a big deal.
To effectively used the move, you pretty much have to plink the stand C into forward light kick, and even before the kick is on screen you have to already be holding down back and buffering. Like i said once a couple reps you should be able to do it in no time. Hope this helps.

I still say you're all liars about shippus off of cl.C, fwd.B. can't get that shit for the life of me. In the meantime I generally just cr.C into hk shippu, really easy off of jump-ins or the command grab.

Then you need to practice more, because that is an essential Takuma skill. Once you hit f.B you need to immediately start charging. cr.C might be easier, but cl.C f.B gets you a lot more damage, plus cl.C is a LOT faster than cr.C and makes it actually usable in frame trap situations.

Pretty good video. Definitely a good place to get started on Takuma. I thought it was odd he brings up invincible command grabs during safe jumps but doesn't bring up OS hop. Oh well.
