Grevious was a terrible thing. It was used for basically 30 seconds and never impressed me one bit. Darth Maul was a formidable adversary all the way around. Even if you didn't like the thought of the staff, that has to be one of the best choreographed fights in the saga.

You're fucking stupid or a 12-year old if you think Darth Maul was cool because he jumps around like a homosexual on Christopher Street Day.

If you really think that Darth Gay-Nobody-Cares-About vs. Boring-Nobody-Cares-About #1 and Boring-Nobody-Cares-About #2 was better than any of the Jedi confrontations displayed in the original sage, then you're not only a dumb 12-year old, you're probably also mentally retarded.
If you think lightsaber fights are cool because Fushwoon nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn vruuummmm and cool choreography, you should also reconsider your priorities when evaluating a movie pr a fight scene in general.

Or maybe you're just not a Star Wars fan at all and Lucas did a great job with pulling the John Woo audience in who loves fights without any substance that go on for an hour that don't have any meaning or consequence for the shitty story of the film.

This trailer looks like a fan made trailer. But if you go to the 0:40 mark. What character is that?

Also, I believe that the Sith lord in this is The One Sith!!!

EDIT: but if it is an ancient Sith then it would have to be Darth Bane or one of the members of the Lost Tribe of the Sith...

@ArtVandelay‌ I may not agree with all of your points, but we can agree that the passionate nerd rage in your post clearly shows you are a bigger Star Wars fan than I am. Kudos to you sir

To this day, I personally think that Luke vs. Vader in ROTJ is my personal favorite of all the fight sequences in the entire saga. The "Duel of the Fates" was great because it's like nothing that was ever seen in any of the other movies, Jedi in their prime against a Sith lord. By no means does it carry any of the emotional gravitas of any of the other battles, it's just a good fight.

I've seen Plinkett's educational sermon/ review on prequels prior to your post and he made some very good points. In the video you sent, I do agree, the lightsaber is used more like a nostalgia hook than an actual weapon (especially in AOTC).

Looking at the crossguard saber in this movie, I don't really see what the issue is. It's just different from what we have seen in the past. I don't disagree that it's a little strange, but arguing practicality and realism when the following scene features a ship with the aerodynamics of a partially eaten cheeseburger performing a low level Split S is hilarious.

Not sure if I like the look of the blade itself, I wonder if this how Abrams plans on showing all light sabers or is this one just using an unstable crystal?

This is actually what I have more of an issue with. I hope that it's the exception rather than the rule

Yea the first two was hot garbage, except for Darth Maul in EP.I. I felt like The Revenge of Sith somewhat redeemed The prequel trilogy.

The entire prequel trilogy was ass outside of Pod Racing(Jake Lloyd's overacting aside), Darth Maul vs Obi Wan and Qui Gon, Yoda vs Darth Sidious, and Anakin vs Obi Wan.

Everything else was a complete waste of time and made no sense in the grand scheme of things.

Only good thing to come from the prequels were both Clone Wars series, and the Pod Racer video game.

Out of The Prequel Trilogy,The Revenge of the Sith was the best one IMO

LOL, it's virtually science fact. It's like it took George Lucas 2 movies to finally get it right. Third time's a charm I guess. Still, when you can take otherwise solid actors and make them have some of the most cringe-worthy line delivery has to be a skill within itself.

No it was not necessary. However, if someone else would have made these movies, there would have been some hope. IMO, the best Star Wars movies are the ones that he didn't direct.

Thanks to Lucas, every other movie franchise feels the need to do this. The only time I have really ever seen a prequel work was Devil May Cry 3.

No. I preferred the implied backstory rather than actually seeing it.

It's one of those things where it's a "Yes I want more of it...but I'm pretty content with not knowing the backstory and making up my own headcanon/theories" sort of thing

It was a good concept, but why tell the story the story before the one you just told. Never made sense. Besides, if anyone watched the prequels before the other movies, certain scenes in the original trilogy just wont carry the same weight.

So, I know the EU is non-canon now, but does that include Shadows of the Empire? Wasn't that one officially sanctioned by Lucas himself?

Shadow laid Cream down on the ground and then took his penis with him, which was already huge and shaking with sex energy, and found Cream's Piggy Bank, which was full of coins and dollars and things to save up for money, so she could buy what she wanted when she had enough inside it. Shadow took it and using his muscular penis, smashed a hole right through the piggy bank so now it was sitting on top of his penis like a hat. Shadow's penis looked like it belonged in a fashion show.

I think the lightsaber is dope. Pretty hype for the new movie and glad the new characters were the focal point and not the old ones (although I wouldn't mind seeing old Han solo)

I'm not a dress up as Chewbacca gto darth vader tatted on me kind of fan but I feel the prequels were necessary, for basically the reason I stated earlier they were meant to appeal to a younger generation, where 4,5,6 were meant for teens to young adults 1,2,3 were meant for a range of people from a 10 year old up to someone in their 50's. Just like the originals, the new trilogy also helped push special effects and ultimately computer graphics in new ways that have benefitted us ever since.
