C'mon, let's all be realistic now. The 1.06 PC change log doesn't even mention the netcode, it only talks about DLC and character balance. Don't you think that if they did indeed fix the netcode, they wouldn't type it in BIG BOLD LETTERS acting all proud? This is a big deal, they would mention it in the change log above everything else.
The netcode remains untouched guys, you want to believe otherwise but that's the truth and you know it.
Problem with PS3 games is that they try to connect to the network even if you just access the main menu of the game.
We tried Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 and game was loading, not HDD or Disc loading but Network loading. And we were only at the main menu. When we turned network off, game menus loaded much faster
While on PC only time you access the network is when you enter Windows Live Battle.
hence the higher network bandwidth of PS3.

I re installed it again today. It takes me upwards of 10-15 minutes to find a ranked match with a crappy connection just to enjoy teleports everywhere. Really are there more than 5 people playing at any single time? AE is so much more active.

played the last couple days in the evening hours and had no problems finding matches. I stopped actually searching for them and just used the fight request in arcade mode. Well.. but I speak for central europe, so for the USA were consoles are much stronger this might be a different story.

Errrmyyyygawd the dlc is 5$ on the Steam store. Now that I can play Ryu x Dudley, i'll play on the pc more. I'll try to make it to the sunday open lobbies too haha. But it'll be a B going from 2013 to 1.06 and vice versa :(

Yeah. The problem is that I can't change my region until three months later since I just changed it recently as I thought I might encounter problems when using prepaid cards if I'm registered in a country different from mine. :(
My download attempts at GFWL Marketplace still won't work either. I'm getting the same error message as before. :(
It seems very similar to the problem Super Street Fighter 4 for pc had when it was first released and changing the framerate to FIXED in that game seemed to help people. According to a description the FIXED setting will drop frames to keep the gameplay speed and inputs consistent as oppose to VARIABLE where it'll try to play all the frames hence inconsistency. I'm just hoping there can be a fix because I love my PC gaming and hopeful that companies like Capcom can continue to support the PC, especially with more fighting games. KOFXII on Steam!!!
I've used that since release, but unfortunately most people don't use it so it's not that useful. It seems to not lag though, if both players have framerate set to fixed or have v-sync on. I hope people would spread the word about this.
I think I found a way to fix my GFWL disconnections. The last thing I did is that I configured our modem/router to use OpenDNS' DNS address. After doing that I'm not getting any disconnections so far. :)

Its a good game and i dont know why crappy consoles get all the patches first.

DLC characters now work for me, as well as a lot of other people.
I had opened a Support-Ticket because of this Error (i did buy the DLC on 25th of January 2013, the first day it was available on GFWL Market) and payed with 1600 MS Points (20 Euros), but it did not work. So i contacted the GFWL-Support. After a phone call and some chats on Support, i got n excuse mail from microsoft, and that they are working altogether with Capcom to solve that problem.
At least its working now. 1. Start the game, go to market place (GFWL ICON
on the TASKBAR), delete the DLC, then download and install it again,
then it will show "installed" without any Error messages. 2. After that
close sfxt game 3. now restart the game and there will be a message "A new
chareacter is available". Now go to the Character selection page, and
you will see that all characters can be selected.
You can download all the free DLC now, its CONFIRMED because i have downloaded them myself, only 2 of the free DLC still have the 800B0100 and they are Color Palette add-on 3 + Special Color Palette 2. All of the rest now downloads and installs without problems, go and see for yourself. :)
I tried to download again and it worked this time, so its CONFIRMED that all free DLC now downloads and installs without that code 800B0100, enjoy your free DLC :)
1) Is Capcom aware of the issue, and can we expect
some sort of fixes coming along with future patches (patch 1.07 and 1.08
should be in the works, even with no ETA)? My understanding from Sven's
last posts would be that Capcom is on the fence when it comes to future
SFxT updates, and with the PC version being even more niche, I wouldn't
really put my money on it.
Still, v2013 is such a better game,
many people appreciated how Capcom stuck with the game and listened to
fan feedback, and were willing to give SFxT another chance. On PC this
just cannot happen, with the online being pretty much unplayable. Same
for the DLC characters: why buying them, if you know you won't be able
to use them online because of the netcode?

Per the producer Derek, there are no plans to change the netcode on SFxT
PC. As you point out we are working to get 1.07 and 1.08 implimented
