    Streak (or whoever else cares to answer) :

    i'm browsing through karathrow.com and i'm looking at the frame data. i first became curious about reversing certain normals when i saw my friend reverse a shoto c. forward using Shippu. then i saw the vid from BKD showing lots of supers reversing shoto c. forwards.

    so here's the deal.

    say for example, i'm using Dudley (which i really do) and i block Ken's close s. fierce. according to the chart, Ken's close s. fierce has a blocked advantage of -2. if i were say, to do Rocket Uppercut or Corkscrew Blow (since start up for both is 2 frames) as a planned reversal, would it count as one? reason i'm curious is because Ken's crouching forward has a blocked advantage of -3 and Shippu has a start up of 3 and it reverses quite nicely. so if that's sorta the "logic" behind it, would Rocket Uppercut or Corkscrew Blow be able to reverse a shoto s. fierce?

    edit: another question. what are the blocked advantages to chains? say Ken's strong, fierce chain, if that's blocked, would the s. fierce frame data apply? or is it something else? same with say, Dudley. twds + roundhouse, s. forward. would it be s. forward's data determining the hit stun or lag if blocked?

    Good News: Yes you can reverse standing fierce with dudley SA1 or 3. And yes, most chains (this one included) have the same advantages as their normal counter-parts.
    Bad News: Ken's strong fierce chain pushes him out of range of SA1 and SA3 reversal range.
    SlimX: 3s has such a perfect beautiful combo engine, System Direction combos are like seeing a delicate Hollywood starlet doing bukkake.

    Question:
    Super invulnerability seems kinda strange in 3S.
    e.g. Q and Chun get be thrown at point blank immediately after the super flash ends for their SA2's (Deadly Double and the only super Chun uses).

    Does invulnerability generally not extend far past the activation?

    I have a question about the frame data on Karathrow, and mebbe its been answered already, but I'm one of those 'lazy people'.

    What version of 3rd Strike is this for? Arcade? DC? PS2? I was noticing some discrepancies between the site and the SF Anniversary guide on stuff, but it was like 1 frame difference. Just curious is all.

    since i can't find this faq, can someone explain to me how you can link crouching shorts with ryu if hit advantage is +1 and startup is 6. i would have thought it would take at least +6/7 advantage to be able to link another short.

    A crouching short with +6/7 advantage would be broken man,
    short short is a chain like Ken's MPHP so the hit advantage of the single blow doesn't matter here, it's just this way.

    These are not from the arc-version as far as i know. They are for the dc-version meaning they're pretty useless today. There are better and more accurate sites when it comes down to framedata about 3s.

    weak hook is ??/?/?
    medium hook is -4/-2/0
    strong hook is -??/???/???

    I don't know what it is for drills. I think it depends on how high you hit them. So, it's hard to say.

    hmmm.
    theres something i don't understand. it says that for akuma's hit advantage for forward is +4, and that his sa1 start up is 5 frames...then how does the close forward link into sa1 work??

    On the framedata I have (Game Restaurant) it says close mk is +4 on standing and +6 on crouching opponents and that SA1 has a 2 frame startup so thatmakes sense. Data on karathrow.com was off by one on supers I believe, so I'm not sure where you got the 5 fame startup from.

    Karathrow is an archive now, Slim probably wouldn't care if you took it and put it in a more convenient spot like SRK Wiki, just as long as you give him credit for it. You'd also have to change the damage data because I don't know how it was done, but it doesn't make sense to me.

    hey does anyone know what happens frame-wise if u parry a move and is the a frame difference in red parrying as opposed to blue parrying ? are there more recovery frames added for the given attack or what? example, I red parry the last hit in yun's target combo. now, would there be any difference if I just blue parried the whole thing ? do I get frame advantage by adding recovery frames to yun? how exactly does a parry work frame wise (sorry for the longwinded question)

    is there a difference in frames when I parry a dive kick as opposed to a ground atk besides timing ?

    is there a difference between parry weak variations as opposed to firece ones ?

    so if I read a dudley and he tries to scoop me and I parry it, are there any differences from just parrying a c.lp ?

    also, are fireballs linked to the player at all ? example, if urien fireballs and I parry, there is no linkage, and parrying doesnt cause slowdown to urien ?

    LAST but not least, are there recovery frames for parrying ? If I parry, chun's 4HP, are there recovery frames I need to be aware of and do these apply to all characters in general, or is it character specific ?

    I just finished to correct players frames data according to Brady Games book (principally, substract one frame to the karathrow.com startup data), so they should be correct for PS2 version (and maybe arcade?).

    Brady Games book is not perfect at all and doesn't contain all details of all moves(especially multihits moves and, most impeding, all GeneiJin normals and specials changes), so i don't change these as long as i don't have a sure source.

    If you see some mistakes, send me mail or PM and i'll correct this!

    Also i found a weird thing, a reversal shyppu can punish ken cmk on hit but not ryu/gouki cmk on hit, they both have the same hit [-2] and blocked [-3]advantage on the list.

    Again, a little comparison between Gouki and Ryu SA1, both listed as a 4 frames startup:
    Ryu SA1 cannot punish some moves with a -4 on block like Gouki close HP; Gouki SA1 can punish Gouki close HP.
    Gouki SA1 link after close MK on standing opponent [+4 on hit], Ryu SA1 cannot [only works with a close MK on crouched opponent, it gives +6].
    Both SA links after cMP on crouching opponent [+5] and both SA can punish Gouki HK Tatsumaki [-5 on block], this may prove that Ryu SA1 is 1 frame slower than Gouki SA1 or else it has less range at point blank during the startup means Gouki SA1 is longer/larger....dunno really just asking for an answer here. :rofl:

    I believe you need to subtract one frame from all of the move statups on the chart.
