You get control all the RGB values individually.

Buttons 1,3,and 5 are RGB, but all of the other buttons (2,4,6,7, and 8) are displaying the color. So you hold select, press 1 to change 1's color. The current color for 1 is show on all of those other buttons, and changes as you tweak the RGB levels up and down. When you hit select, that color is saved as the favorite for button 1.
Or did I just make that more confusing?

Simon uses four colors. Everything else has a 21 bit color space, so 2^21 colors possible for any button. 2^21 roughly equals 3 hojillion.

Thanks Toodles for adjusting my order I read the Remora pdf about Tournament mode only for the TE-S PCB and I couldn't wait till the next time I ordered

One more question... I have a TE-S with a Kitty installed. I also have a Neutrik connector in place of the select button, and I use the turbo button as a select/back button à la TE Kitty. Would any function for the Remora that requires the select button work if I use the turbo button as the select button?

All of the Remora functions that require Select will work fine using the Turbo button on a Kitty install.

Nope I read it wrong, I thought when it says the rest will show the current color, in regards to the color set up mode I thought it meant their individual favorite colors. Not the same color in which you are altering my bad. *Man you think of everything.

When you go into color adjustment, 1, 3, and 5 are R, G, B. The rest of the buttons are lit and adjust to the configuration of the selected button until you go back.

Curious, when adjusting a color, does it blink out the color value in some way, or do you have to eyeball it to get it right? I'm not OCD but it would bother me to have colors look the same but possibly be imperceptibly different.

Just some feedback on the documentation. The PDF labels the buttons as 1-8 but the picture of the board on the order page uses the 360 button names. It may be helpful to add a blurb about the expected number->name mapping since the SC V, VS, MLG, and MvC2 TE all use different button layouts.

EDIT: And disregard because you've got everything covered. :) It is mentioned in the setup mode to press the buttons in that order. Need to work on my reading comprehension.

Hey Toodles, I ordered my Remora, x8 Arceye 3's, and a V.S. Harness on Sunday. The item was shipped on the 17th but from then, the USPS status just says electronic shipping info received. Any idea when I'll get my lights : / ??

I ordered mine Saturday morning, got the shipping confirmation just hours later, but from the tracking it looks like it was just shipped today. I'd imagine Toodles just finished with last-minute coding and documentation write-ups and he's just now getting around to packaging and shipping orders out to folks.

to save toodles some stress usps takes about 3-5days in the us to ship *don't forget saturdays count just be patient. if your lucky sometimes it only takes em two days

Toodles, I got my Remora in the mail today, installed it in my TE-S, and everything works and looks great!

Only problem I'm having is the lock switch isn't working at all - I put it into either position and I can still use the select, start, home buttons, and the Remora LEDs are still lighting up. Nothing is being disabled. I have a TE-Kitty installed and prior to installing Remora the lock switch worked just fine. I didn't remove the panel the lock switch is on, so I can't have messed anything up there. I triple-checked the cables and everything looks to be fastened tightly and installed properly. Can you think of anything I might be missing?

EDIT: Also works fantastic on PS2! Lights aren't dimmer at all.

There is labeled <TES_EN on the Remora.
You are to cut Trace between the two pads.

Anyone by chance have pictures of one installed using Arceye2's? I'm curious how difficult it is to make the board work with those before I try to attempt it.

I just got and assembled the LEDs onto my Pro Stick. My question is, is there a screen saver where I can have just one color of lights fading out and fading back in? I'm not a huge fan of my stick fading into red then into blue then into green etc.

Points G and C and V on Remora.
On bottom, cut Trace between G and C.
Then short C and V points in the Remora.

ArcEye II can be used now.
Now can use ArcEye II.

The display 'ScreenSaver' shows the currently selected screen saver and doesn't care what buttons you press.
The screensaver mode called AllScreenSavers will cycle through all of the screensavers, spending about 30
seconds on each before moving to the next. When selecting this via the Setup Menu, 'AllScreenSavers' shows
up all white buttons to prevent confusion with other screensavers.
All of the display and screensaver names beginning with 'Fav_' take advantage of the saved Favorite Colors, so
you have a lot of personalization options to make your stick truly yours.

Received my Remora in the mail today. However the link to the install instructions isn't working. Everything seems pretty self explanatory except where I plug the CN1 CN2 into with a VS stick. Also VCC and GND with a TE kitty w/ VS harness. Any help would be sweet. Thanks.

CN1 and CN2 go into the TES_CN1 and TES_CN2 ports, respectively. For VCC, all you need to do is run a single wire from the VCC screw terminal on the XBOX side over to the VCC on the Remora; no need to run a GND since ground goes through CN1 already.

Thank you very much for the reply. Toodles told me at EVO that the Kitty has a spot to screw down the VCC wire, but mine doesn't have that. It doesn't have have screw downs. They are like little buttons you push, slip the wire in, and release the button for it to crimp. So do I solder something to the Kitty or to the original Mad Catz PCB?

I somewhat fixed it. I just opened my Pro stick up and rearranged some wires and took off the glue Kuya_Joe left on the USB holes that were already soldered on; nonetheless, it works! Also thanks for the help Joe!

Only need to know exactly where to put the VCC from the Remora and I'm all done :-D Any help would be sweet!
UPDATE: I just pushed the VCC wire in with the red wire on the on the output side.

Alright. Got mine setup! However, the one question I have is is it possible to set it to where when I hit specific buttons they alone light up a specific color? What I mean is, my buttons are all set to turn purple when I press them. But is there a way to have it set so that when I hit the buttons for XFactor those buttons light up red? Thanks!
