Hey, so there's often discussions about best players blah blah, but I'm looking for more of a complete list of them. I only know so many good players, but I'd like to compile some, especially giving more highlights to some of the better American players.

I was going to try to answer this but it would have to be with too much speculation. for example there are so many strong kens and so many b-class Dudley's that it would be hard to rank them properly.

This should give you a general idea of who is strong or worth watching with a character. this is also not definitive ranking as I'm certain some players with their main or alt would place higher or lower due to participation and such.

Gunfight (FR) -- Great Dudley, don't mind what happened at SF25, he's a legit beast.
Ramza (IRL) -- pad Urien, doesn't get much exposure.
Zak Bennet (UK) -- Oro. Great to watch.
kalisto (FR) -- Ken/Ibuki. Dunno where he's at nowadays though.
Ryan Hart (UK) -- Ken/Yun.
chunkis (IRL) -- Ken.

Japanese players:

I'd put Kuroda under Akuma. I think that's his real main character. Easily the scariest Akuma.

I think old players like fujiwara etc should only recieve honorable mention. I respect what they've accomplished and they're skill level at their time but since they don't play anymore I don't know if they're as relevant. it's like saying aruka was a good ibuki but that was 2005 3s not 2012 3s. I would not place aruka in a top 3 ibuki list. same for fujiwara, izu and j makoto, etc etc.

Its my honest list. You were originally a Necro main I believe so I put you in there. Mutantxp deserves a notable mention too. Your Q is also really sick. No other memorable Q's for me so I just put you on the spot lol. We miss you on ggpo. =)

Aiku (or Ike) is probably the best Dudley after Kokujin, Osaka seem to have more Dudleys tho (more dignity obviously)

i guess, but then it means someone like hayao shouldn't be on the list (even if he had the set v kuroda oro recently, maybe he plays oe, etc), and it just feels wrong to not have someone like hayao on the list.

Hayao still plays tho, he just doesn't enter tournaments. Also he lives in Osaka so you won't see him on the GSV stream

someone mentioned izu (who i'm pretty sure is also from kansai) still plays. i do wonder what fujiwara is up to, i think he was from saitama. unlikely he still plays but yeah...

Aiku and Ike are the same people (just a different romanisation) not sure if Exo-tech or a lot of the non JP players deserve a spot? i would leave people like Nica KO, PyroLee etc. on there tho just to mix it up

That's what I was thinking about the non-JP players, but other than people like Renic, I don't know of any decent USA Alex players - and other examples up there. I don't want an only-Japanese list... Then I can just use that link above. lol

Right. That's why I'd have no qualms about name dropping hayao as a strong current player. his sets vs yakkun, saru, ruu, etc were awesome from a year or so ago.
