I read it over the holidays and love it so far. The first episode of the anime makes it seem like it's all about tits and dragon quest parodies but the major focus really is economics and politics.
I'm a little disappointed at the anime's art compared to the manga but it's not a deal breaker. Top tier VAs make up for it.

Black people deserve everything they get, cause those fuckers sound about as dumb as them logs they were fighting with.

That's pretty much what I got from it. I turned it off at first when the chick first presented herself and her tits bounced like 3 times in a second, meanwhile dude was all in shock. I was like yep, I already know what kind of show this is gonna be, next. But then I gave it a shot and watched the whole thing and realized, yep this IS DEFINITELY what this show is gonna be about. All that economics and politics is just a front to sell us a titty/harem show. My bad, my speculation is that is actually going to be a DOUBLE harem with regular harem antics and REVERSE harem shit, judging only by the first episode, not knowing shit about what it is based on. Am I right or am I just that fucking jaded?

Well since Spice and Wolf (by the same writer) managed to go through 2 seasons whilst staying about economics and not degenerating into harem bullshit it's got a good chance of not turning out like that.
Of course it always has the chance of going down the shitter like anything can, but it seems unlikely.

Nekomonogatari was awesome. Hanekawa's bra in episode 3 was top tier. I need a figure of her in that outfit.

Suki tte ii na yo's ending was lack luster as well with an episodic approach to the ending without doing anything with the characters. I would have preferred a similar approach that Tonari no Kaibutusu-kun took. I'm not really sure if Suki tte will get a second season but I'm more doubtful about this show even though I enjoyed it more than Tonari.

i didnt even bother to watch the last episode, cause i already knew for some reason it would be like that. ep12 felt like a "conclusion" of sorts to the series. and i agree I enjoyed Suki tte ALOT more than Tonari. I just like the more serious romances, tonari was way too comedic and childish IMO.

You have to understand that these shows are being written by people who's only contact with other human beings is through watching anime cliches on a tv screen or by hanging out with sexually repressed manga artist/writers/salarymen. That and soulless prostitutes that spend all their dick sucking money on drunk male hostess. In short, Japan is a shithole and almost nothing good comes from it that doesn't actually reflect that true Japanese essence of hopelessness and homogeneity the permeates it's society.
You know what they need to do. Make a slice of life comedy where all the characters commit suicide and get replaced like every other episode. That would be a REAL SLICE OF LIFE.
Kromo, post: 7871070, member: 1815 wrote:
Of course they don't want real slice of life. Thats like saying "I want to play a fighting game where a real black guy is going to buffalo headbutt me in the mouth and then rip off his shirt"
Although, maybe a slice of life show about a guy who stalks middle schoolers could do well. He does stuff like put on a suit and tie and walk around the school on parent teacher day, pretends to cheer for his daughter at the track meet while taking pictures of her. Hides a camera in a cooler during the beach episode etc etc.

Yea I watched the first episode of Spice and Juggs and it wasn't too bad. Will watch more. I could see me growing to dislike the Demon King easily if the scales tip much farther into silly bouncing rubber boob territory.
Jojo 13 was awesome as usual.
