This first challenge is in my opinion going to be pretty difficult considering the amount of tech already known about these three characters. Using known characters though will force people to be super creative. I think this is a great experiment.

Problem with using a team that is partly used by several players already is that half your time spent messing around will be about things that have, in all probability, been discovered already. And fuck Honzo's team

The other option would be to have people submit teams to be recorded. And have that information be part of the requirement for submission. There is a difference between having the ability to capture/edit a video and having expertise on the team in question. I just worry that to request the person recording to have that level of knowledge on the team or character or whatever in question is going to severely limit our ability to get anything recorded. I would be limited to a handful of teams, as would just about every other person recording.
I would actually personally like to see a blend of the two. Submission of team, with thorough information and groundwork layout to keep people from re-discovering the wheel, AND some guidance in the form of challenges.

when you standing h into launcher during the last rep, call ammy after you press s as you are super jumping up and end that loop. If timed correctly, you can add+whiff normal and still be able to molecular shield into sphere flame as soon as ammy hits. That's really all that works.

here's a theory i just came up with re: missiles and task
you can probably end every combo with missiles putting you in a position where you will always be able to unblockable the opponent (even if ammy ice cant get any followup to it)- some kind of meaty missile timing utilizing the timing of his hard KDs from his super, shock sting, j.s or whatever

Since godless mode confirmed it the first team is: Taskmaster (Horizontal Arrows)/ Doctor Doom (Hidden Missiles)/ Amaterasu (Cold Star) Time to go forth and break Honzo's team, I already have an idea for some new unblockable set ups. ^.^

Wish it was Akuma anchor instead of Ammy. I play Task with tatsu pressure and it is so good, but there's not much you can do I think besides basic air series off a confirm of that.
With shield skills + cold star, do you have to do shield skills (call Cold Star at the same time) > 2 arrows for it to be confirmable?

Personally I don't think assists should be locked in. There are a lot of unexplored assists in this game and if you're going to restrict characters who have already been used in the last couple of rounds then it will take forever to get through their assists and really see what potential they have. It's fine to encourage optimal assists but strictly limiting them just means we won't see some good (but overshadowed) assists like Molecular Shield, Drones (bombing run), or Spitfire Twice for a very long time.
On the other hand I think some people on the previous page are underestimating just how much tech is still undiscovered and I think we absolutely should limit this to one entire team rather than individual characters. Looking at an entire team together gives us a much better focus than if everyone were using 1 character with 1225 possible combinations of partners, but I don't think looking at different assists within that 1 team would be nearly as detrimental to that focus.
My PS3 is dead, but I'd probably be looking for Guard Breaks (the same frame throw+assist ones) using doom's dash cancelling + ammy calls. Just saying.

On the real, I agree with having the assists be open to whatever we want.
Ammy's meter build assist is situationally good vs zoning teams as doom/ammy as you can play patient and build meter for thcs as opposed to trying to get within a range to use cold star. You lose utility with taskmaster though.
Also, vs hawkeye teams, it can be smart to put ammy second as some players will actually tag in hawkeye for the horrible doom matchup once they kill taskmaster. Ammy is respectable with a doom assist and can duck his shots, reflect shit, and is overall just much better vs hawkeye. If she lands a hit, she can always tac infinite or go for the slowdown DHC setups into a TOD.

I feel this is like a devilish plan made by Honzo to get tech for SCR, but anyways, everybody will benefit from this sooner or later.
With team tech development, I think that only character choices should be restricted to a vote, and that assists and order is up to the player. This doesn't only help in finding underutilized tech with assists and DHCs, but it will also help understand why certain team synergies are better than others. People will start finding out what options you are missing out on when you have a meter assist with Amaterasu instead of cold star, or that your first DHC from Taskmaster can be into a slow super if you have Amaterasu on the second spot. I can see how people will start understanding the game more even if they don't find new technology that is significant to the metagame.
Chrisis, we're trying to do a more organized stream for the Freedemonia sessions and start tomorrow. We can have a segment dedicated to developing tech for this thread. I had a few other ideas, like after one week of developing tech we can do 2 tournaments for the team in that cycle. The first tournament will be everyone choosing the set team in a double elimination with a 1st and Last place, we'll have to do a bottom bracket. Then the second tournament will be a regular tournament but with the 1st place and Last place of the previous tournament playing the CTTD team. This way we have more of an incentive not to lose and find viable ways to utilize technology in a tournament setting, and also expose some people out there.

Morrigan's meter assist is the only one worth using, due to it actually being fast and fairly safe. In fact, you can call Dark Harmonizer again before you can even call your other assist with Bloom. You should never give up Cold Star with characters that can abuse it, and if they can't you might as well just pick Morrigan instead.
The reason I don't stream is because the chances of me accidentally exposing my dick to the world is too high. I forget stuff way too often, I almost burn my place down because I forgot I was cooking at least once every 3 months. If I started livestreaming I would load up a Taylor Swift video, forget I had a webcam and a stream and then...

With all the j.Ls and j.Ms thrown in that combo, I think Doom already brings the scaling down to minimum by himself. Ammy assist should only be adding slightly more damage at that point.

Ammy's THC is her elements super. People use it as cover to do mix ups because it lasts a long time (enough for 2 or 3 mixups) and the lightning bolt at the end leaves the opponent in hard knockdown. So if your point can get a hit during the elements super and combo off of an otg it's a free combo. Have you seriously never seen this or did you just not recognize the name?

ammy is only decent at extending a combo after a short amount of time. getting to high hitstun scalings just makes characters jump out and honzo mad.

So I'm not sure why you're saying the Moons' Tasky Throw > Web swing+AmmyxxArrow super> Shield skills isn't consistent. It's def. a tight link, but it's not an inconsistent one. If you hit with timing right, it always works.
In the corner I have to piano an S as soon as I land to connect after the super (I'm pretty sure that's a 1 or 2 frame link there, too) but as long as you get it on frame one after landing it's consistent too. (checking it on other characters, it's looking like the S is a character specific link... T.T)

Comboing off Task's throw's is assist dependent. There is no problem comboing off his throws with fast assists like Jam Session/Tatsu/Disruptor/Greyhound/Spencer Slant Shot, but it's not possible meterless with the most common set up for this team (missiles/cold star).(only rocks will pick up with the normal confirm)
Tbh I'm completely disappointed with the choice of this team as the first team for a community development thread. Doom/Ammy is a very popular shell that has been dissected by many players especially Marlinpie, Task/Ammy has been also explored very well by Moons. And Task is a extremely basic character with a very limited gameplan, the only thing that's remotely technical about him setup wise is unblockable setups.
The TAC bait tech I posted up with Taskmaster is also relevant to this team. You can strengthen your TAC + TAC reset game with Taskmaster to build bar for abusing Doom/Ammy THCs, or going with a Task 3 bar THC into XFC to kill the last character.

1 • Off Topic Disagree 1Agree LikeIn the corner I have to piano an S as soon as I land to connect after the super (I'm pretty sure that's a 1 or 2 frame link there, too) but as long as you get it on frame one after landing it's consistent too. (checking it on other characters, it's looking like the S is a character specific link... T.T)
I'm not really sure how I'm supposed to make a video of this...am I just supposed to show me doing it a bunch of times?

There is no problem comboing off his throws with fast assists like Jam Session/Tatsu/Disruptor/Greyhound/Spencer Slant Shot, but it's not possible meterless with the most common set up for this team (missiles/cold star).(only rocks will pick up with the normal confirm)
Tbh I'm completely disappointed with the choice of this team as the first team for a community development thread. Doom/Ammy is a very popular shell that has been dissected by many players especially Marlinpie, Task/Ammy has been also explored very well by Moons. And Task is a extremely basic character with a very limited gameplan, the only thing that's remotely technical about him setup wise is unblockable setups.
The TAC bait tech I posted up with Taskmaster is also relevant to this team. You can strengthen your TAC + TAC reset game with Taskmaster to build bar for abusing Doom/Ammy THCs, or going with a Task 3 bar THC into XFC to kill the last character.
