On April 12-13, 2013, Texas Showdown returns to its roots and now is 100% player run! We're excited to announce the long running tournament series to Houston for three full days of fighting games mania! With original founders Javier 'Javi' Moreno and Chris 'Ranma0005' Chou back at the helm, Texas Showdown aims to once again be one of the premier tournaments in the United States.

Late Registration (March 1 - March 31): $40 registration fee, plus $10 per game.

Spectator Fee:

On-Site Spectator Fee: 3 Day Pass: $10
Spectator fee applies to all attendees not participating in any headliner games.

Unfortunately, you will either need to find an Xbox 360 stick, or an adapter. AE will be played on Xbox 360 this year.

Not sure if we're going to need any more volunteers, but we can get back to you on that. Most of the Houston community goto Monsters Arcade on Tuesdays. There's a get together on Friday night at the University of Houston. And local tournaments planned for UMvC3, MK, AE and SFxT at Insomnia VGC.

Not gonna lie, the reason I now say "some" hori sticks is because I really hate working on HRAP3 sticks. It's a absolute pain in the neck to get the home button working correctly without the button feeling "crunchy." Last two I worked on turned out to be far more trouble than they were worth and cost me money in the end, so I pretty much stopped working on them, or charge more for the hassle.

If you can catch me at a good time and understand that I'd be working on it last (and that it'd take a few hours after that), I'll take care of it for the $80 price.

Why not just get that dual modded? Then you won't have to worry about having the right stick for a tournament. It'll work with both!

Yes, SG is a side tournament. Along with Guilty Gear, Soul Calibur V, Super Turbo, and possibly a couple more. We have limited space so we have to split up the games for different days. Once we have finalized the complete game list, we will be able to post up a schedule.

However, just because a fame is a side game, doesn't mean we will shun it to the side. We plan on trying to do what we can to hype up each game and will try to give stream time if possible. GG has $400 in bonus money added, SCV receives $100-$200 depending on attendance, ST is a qualifier for the ST Games at Evo, and SG will have some SG merchandise added to the prizes.

We look forward to every game run at Showdown, regardless of whether it is a side game or a main game.
