There are several Japanese SBO qualifier vids out already from this past Sunday. They are on youtube. I just put SBO'08 in the search box and a bunch came up. Several of these have Gian, ARG + OtoChun, and Shooting D + Aniken.

And after the whiffed kick rush on wakeup, shouldn't you be able to counter-throw him on reaction if he goes for one? At least, it almost never seems to work when I try it. *shrug*

Gamersvision ST Tougeki Qualifiers - Semifinals (I think)
Futachan (Ryu) VS Ohnuki (Chun')
Jyai Dhal ('Sim) VS Tokido (Claw)
Aki (Ryu) VS Kusumondo (Honda)
Tirooon (N. Sagat) VS Komoda Blanka (Blanka)

It's a few days old but this update on Nohoho's blog has some of the most genuinely exciting matches I've ever seen Komoda play. If you give even two hoots about Street Fighter, you need to watch these.

That first match features a pretty fundamentally poor boxer... he has no idea how to handle the safe jump>kneebash and doesn't attempt kickrush>super or j. neutral fierce to get over the fireballs either...

Yeah, he was pretty crap.
Even the Japanese can suck.

Whenever I try to watch those vids it just exits out by itself in the middle of the match.
