Where'd you get those buttons? Are you sure they're legit? I have installed a BUNCH of OBSF & OBSC snap-ins on numerous sticks over the years. Never had an issue with a single one of them.

So I was able to drill the hole with my step bit into the Hori RAP 4 Panel. I remove the KOF art and took the panel out. I sandwiched it between some cinder blocks and it drilled a perfect 35mm hole. I have a KOWAL universal plate coming on Tuesday (I was hoping today) but I was wondering is there ANY way else to mount a Korean stick on Japanese mount without that plate? This is gonna have to hold me until I can get a Korean Panzer and I'm impatient...lol. Lemme know please. Thanks!

Edit: Nevermind I used rubber bands to hold it in place.

Hmm, ok thanks. The Seimitsu buttons stay in but i can pull them out with my fingernails, not a big deal..Good to know about the Sanwa buttons.

Interesting, I haven't had this issue. Then again, I haven't used Seimitsu buttons on the top recently, only the sides.

Does anyone know if the EZ Mod will fit inside the TE2 with a fanta installed? It doesn't look like there will be enough space, but I was wondering if anyone has tried it before.

Why wouldn't it fit? The EZ MOD replaces the stock PCB and the Brook is tucked in the back corner of the case. I don't have my Chun Stick with the JCC KE panel with me to double check, but it should be fine.

It looks like the quick connect would be resting on top of where the UFB would sit. Not sure if it would be touching since I would want to use PCB feet on it.

Hey Jasen, I'm thinking about swapping out these Seimitsu buttons for some Sanwa's. While I'm at it, I wanted to see if it was possible to install some led or led kit that lights up the button when pressed, any recommendations? Thanks!

In that case, I would go with the Standard Mini and use a breakout board to link the signals with the BROOK UFB screw terminals.

So just to confirm before I buy, the Sanwa OBSC 30mm will click and seat all the way down?
  • Jasen HicksJasen Hicks JasensCustoms.com Joined: Posts: 2,314
    Yes, they will.

The only thing to note is OBSCs though, is they tend to be overmolded... and inconsistently, meaning they are slightly larger than 30mm (like 30.05mm). You may have some slight sanding of the button hole to do to remove some powder coat from the case to accommodate if the caps get stuck "down" . Not a lot... and not all the time. Its just a stupid thing with the OBSCs I have found over the years. The Panzer buttons holes are slightly larger than 30mm / 24mm to accommodate for the powder thickness and sometimes it can be tight. I tried going a bit larger but then OBSFs fit loose if you cut the holes too big and then it doesn't affect all of the OBSCs. Its very odd. You may have 0 problems and it wont be a big deal.

I received mine on thursday and I only thing I noticed was that the box was trapped up using your logo. Is that what you're referring too? Definitely a lot more interesting than boring clear tape most places uses lol

I'm definitely narrowing down the stick choices after going back and forth for what seems like forever between using money for several different hobbies. But trying to decide between the traditional layout and the Korean one is so freaking difficult!

Here's some photos i took of my panzer 3 hitbox diy kit that i got on wednesday. I have to say, super impressed with the case and EZ BUILD and how easy it was to put this all together. I've actually put 2 brook universals into old madcatz TE round 2s end of last year and wish i had known about the EZ BUILD/MOD then, but instead i did everything by hand and soldered onto the brook L3/R3 etc. I actually have a TE2+ and TES+ and although this is the first time i've used a hitbox i'm liking it already so i may convert one of those so i have two hitboxes and i will definitely get Jasens EZ BUILD/MOD if so. I really like Jasens case and the whole package, would definitely recommend it! I also got the package wrapped in your new custom tape Jasen, but wasn't aware it was new either, nice touch!

For the artwork, i really like the movie Back to the Future and it's been my ringtone for about ten years, and my PC CFN accounts are "GetUpTo88" and "WeDontNeedRoads" in reference to the movie so i drew a flux capacitor in photoshop for my artwork. For anyone who cares about this stuff, i printed it on our Epson 3880 with Hahnemuhle Fineart Pearl - the texture of this paper with the printed black works great with Jasens Panzer 3 case as it basically blends in seamlessly with the powder coated metal. Might be hard to see that in the photos but i like it. I've also had the nickname "CaptainHook" for about 14 years now which is my PS4 CFN account for SFV so "Hook" is on there kinda subtle too, along with Jasens Panzer logo i added.

    Here's the controller:

    sD4Vufl.jpg

    zTyCNvH.jpg

    Zyhpidc.jpg

And here's the insides - so happy with how clean and fast Jasen's whole setup makes this.

    u4yJ09Z.jpg

    2vRUFXB.jpg

Thanks to Jasen and Spencer for making this so easy! I'm in Australia and it took about two weeks for me to get it from time of order - and i ordered during Spencer's holiday so turnaround time was great!

Is it possible to get just a PFS3 Hitbox case without all the ezbuild stuff inside? I have a brook PS4 pcb already soldered up with wires from another project that I would like to put into one of these cases. If not I probably hold off and do a full build later. Also will you be doing more White Sandtrex cases? I would love to build one out like the Midi Fighter. I love how clean the half clear white on white look is and would add some kaimanas to it.

White Sandtex is retired for now. Too little interest after the pre-order period but I do have some ideas for white later. The case comes as a kit with everything, nothing requires you to use it... other than it comes with it and I don't offer discounted variants without it. There's an entire customer support aspect to it and branding thing to consider... too long to delve into, but I think you get the idea.

Fair enough. I've wanted the full flushed out ufb experience so I'll probably do a diy with ufb when I get the money in black. Is there enough room for putting a Kaimana chameleon on the ufb and will the j2s fit on top of the button board?

Hey Jasen, my LS-62 is a little shorter than I like, it sits pretty far back with the joyustick mount/spacer inside the case. Any recommendations for getting the stick mounted a little closer to the top of the case or should I extend the joystick with an adapter or something? thanks dude

How's deployment going shipmate? Man, you really make an awesome product and I'm very interested, but when I go to the website, there aren't any pre-built sticks left. Is building a stick from one of your sticks the only way to get a Panzer while you're on duty? Thanks.

Either remove the acrylic joystick plate or sand it, removing it may leave it too long but try it out. As for sanding you can use rougher grit to quickly shave off material.

Removing the Acrylic spacer would help using a S-Plate. But be advised, i am not 100% sure the S-plates line up with the JLF mounting pattern. You *might* need to drill out some holes on the plate to make it fit.

Appreciate the replies. I dremeled out the holes on the stock Seimitsu plate and got it on there.

Will the standoffs on the case be ok if I have it mounted like that without the spacer (3rd pic)?

Separately, the Panzer Fight Stick lineup is 4 years old!

Four years ago today I hatched the Panzer Fight Stick idea and ran with it. A lot of personal work, design, and learning since then. The first idea was to do a group buy to get the prices in line with where they needed to be but in the end I financed the entire operation out of pocket because I believed in it that much. Four years later I can say there are nearly 400 Panzer Fight Sticks in use (probably closer to mid 400s). Happy Birthday #PanzerFightStick!
Still using my original Panzer. You should also take it as an encouraging sign that Panzer sticks don't often come up for sale in the trading outlet.

Awesome! That's what I like to hear :) I don't sell my personal ones very often and those who do typically run into some sort of financial issue requiring them to sell theirs.

Yes and no.... I cover this on my website, there is a big link to what's available and what's not while I am deployed, but the long story short: this fall I will be making them available again. Spencer doesn't have the space to house the full gambit of JCC stuff.
