    Yeah, the clipping issues will be fixed in engine once we give her proper cloth/hair physics.

    Hard to say how much we'll have done by the end of the year, but we're also getting a level done so things are shaping up quickly here.

    You know if they were Kaiju sized I'd probably be more interested, but way too big looks like kids playing in a Lego city or something. The contrast in size makes the city look like toys.

    My two cents on it is that, while I do prefer Kaiju size for the visual flavour and possible interactions, this isn't that kind of game. Having the cities be this puny seems a lot more practical in that respect.

    See this is why we don't intend on having any Kaiju playable. When I said that one of the girls has pet Kaiju and someone asked me to let the Kaiju be playable... well it wouldn't be fun to play as a character that only goes up to the other characters ankles. lol

    Imo they are too big. Being able to interact with the environment and grab and destroy shit/use things as weapons was a LOT of the appeal of classic games like King of the Monsters and Rampage. If it's all just puny stuff that won't even be noticed at this point. I would consider focusing on just a few characters and making the stages as brilliant as you possibly can to make the game actually stand out more. That is of course if you make them more interactive. If you want to just go the old boring route and just make the stages eye candy then never mind lol. I would play a lot of king of monsters and ape everything I could from that and the one cool stage from tech romancer.

    There will be larger buildings that they can interact with. Currently the plan is that they get one unblockable hit from each of them, and each character has a unique way of carrying them.

    However I should make it clear that I am absolutely not doing a KotM/Rampage style game. That isn't the focus.

    A damn shame nobody wants to do the electric fence of a King of the Monsters in 3D

    it might get rid of everyone's buzzword problem of "invisible walls" when they aren't being specific there.

    I read that as a complaint in a comment section about Yakuza 0.
    When it happens maybe 3 times in the whole game, necessary to introduce something in the beginning, same as almost any game walking thru tutorial, yes they want you to do a small story section now so just go to the checkpoint displayed on the map. Taking the 1 route they defined for the time being. Deal with it, nerd.

    So can this game do that instead of the Infinity scrolling of SF:EX or half the Tekken stages? Considering that kind of roped off wrestling ring ropes could create cornering! & on a technical side, also even limit any "pop-up" with having to render the asset background sections again as you move thru a stage.

    We could implement something like that as a separate mode.

    The levels we're making do have boundaries, but by default they don't act like walls. When you transgress the level boundary you are simply declared out of bounds and lose the round.

    Hrm kinda wondering what kind of buildings or structures will be usable as weapons when actual skyscapers are only going to their ankles? Seems like wasted potential to me focusing less on the actual environment when it's a game revolving around these oversized characters. It's like what's the point, you can barely do anything fun with your size so it's becomes even less than a gimmick.

    Those aren't the usable buildings. Those are just common ones. The ones you can use are larger and go up to their waists.

    The focus isn't really on the actual city interactions. Its more of a traditional fighter that plays around with the theme of giant characters - every stage has interactable buildings, some characters have mechanics that revolve around destruction, and everyone has a super that shrinks the opponent.

    Sorry not sorry for not knowing that female giants was some weird fetish shit. I have played Dungeons and Dragons for a long time and remember exactly once thinking a giant chick was hot, and then I thought about the logistics and decided that it was waaaaaay beyond death by snu snu.     GigaMaidens is of course going to have lots of funny and titillating aspects, like the shrink attacks. But yes, I am aiming for something deeper, otherwise I'd just put out something crappy and quick and call it a day.

    There's no god damn vore in this game, stop projecting.

    Shrink attacks are just every girl's ultimate attack where they shrink the opponent and do a variety of crazy things. It's basically a level 3 from Marvel vs Capcom 3, a cinematic super that does a lot of damage. I was originally thinking that you activate it in a traditional way and that if the shrunken opponent mashes a certain way they have an opportunity to escape the super, where they have to flee from the larger opponent for a few seconds until they grow back to normal, and getting touched by the larger girl means the cinematic proceeds as normal. But lately I've been operating on it just being a simple cinematic super.

    Based on the name I was expecting Shrink Supers to have a lot with common with Alessy's Set or Anakaris' Pharaoh Curse--a brief but severe depowering that leave the victim some control. I can't help but imagine that universal lvl3 cutscenes based on Shrinking would get repetitive.

    Maybe you're not picturing the same thing as I am. Giving everyone a Pharaoh Curse would be more repetitive.

    Every character has their own unique ways of landing the super.

    Oh yeah, of course, but I meant more that a cutscene for it would get tiresome, not the exact means of landing the super. Granted, 'controllable helplessness' is sort of tedious in its own way.

    Both are quite nice. While I too think the characters are "too big" and wish for more possible stage interactions, hope to see some kind of demo to understand the system and have an actual idea of how characters/game will play someday. Don't worry, I have no hurry.

    Sure, that's fine. Have a dev screen.

    I know it looks a little boring right now, since the actual level is still being made, this is just a testing level. As you can probably guess a lot is going into it. We're testing stuff out in the engine right now to make sure it works. Artists or photoshop masters may wanna take a stab at giving her an opponent. Make her fight Elaine Benes or a duck or Wayne Gretzky or whatever.
