I just downloaded and applied the latest tournament ps3-ps4 (white) adapter update from here, and my adapter color when plugged in changed from purple (red+blue) to just blue. Did I maybe download the wrong link? This is what I clicked:

    IElIjv4.png

I wasn't sure what version my adapter was at, so I did apply the 20160408 update, and then the 201607 one. The adapter works, but I'm worried a local tournament I'm going to this weekend will not accept my adapter if it's not in tournament mode.

    @Clef
Yes, please download it and only run 201607.
When updated successful in Tournament mode, the converter will turn red + blue lights

I tried running 201607 again, and the program just seemed to freeze. The adapter light is correct, but the updater is stuck on this screen, and not responding, for ten minutes now.

If I just remove it and kill the program at this point, it turns red+blue when plugged into any USB port, but my PS4 won't recognize my PS3 arcade stick at all now.

Running 201607 once more, whether the "controller compatibility" checkbox is checked or not (tried both ways after going through the steps above), runs fine, though I always get this error in the middle, which might be significant:

    UKPxckC.png

After this attempt, the program reports that it updates successfully, but my adapter is back to blue, and also back to being functional.

Any ideas how to get it working in tournament mode?

EDIT: I tried another USB port, one in the back instead of one of the two on the front panel, and I no longer get that VIDPID error above, but no matter how many times I run that update, the adapter lights are red+blue throughout the update process, but then turn only blue at the end, when the update is finished. Why?

I even tried redoing the 20160408 update, and then the new update, both on the 'other' USB port, and I get the same result. Now I just tried redownloading it, the same link as I screenshotted and drew an arrow pointed to before, and now the filename is different...there's a "TE" in the name of the zip! Did you accidentally have the normal update downloading on the TE link and it was just fixed?! Trying it again now with this new .zip...

EDIT2: Of course now it's working perfectly in tournament mode...please make sure your webmaster is on top of keeping those update links correct. I was lucky I tried redownloading a third time just a few minutes ago, or else I would have still had this issue!

The TE stick works like normal if I plug it into my PC without the converter. Also I tried plugging a different controller into the converter (a Madcatz fightpad) and that one wasn't detected either.

what is the model type of your stick?
    it may be compatibility issue.

    it may be compatibility issue.

It's a 360 Madcatz TE Stick, Femme Fatale edition. I should also note that when I first got the adapter it worked fine (after I struggled a bit getting the firmware update to work)

The new Xbox One controllers that came out with the Xbox One S now have Bluetooth support and can connect to Windows PC with Bluetooth: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-on-windows/accessories/connect-and-troubleshoot-xbox-one-bluetooth-issues-windows-10

It is because of this that some of us were hoping that we could connect the new controllers to our Brook adapters with Bluetooth instead of being forced to use a USB cable.

If the XBOX ONE --> PS4 adapters do not have Bluetooth embedded, I also hope that a USB to Bluetooth adapter can be used with the Brook adapter instead of a possible whole new adapter.

    Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Plugable-Bluetooth-Adapter-Raspberry-Compatible/dp/B009ZIILLI/ref=sr_1_4?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1473450822&sr=1-4&keywords=usb+bluetooth+4.1+adapter

PS here is someone who connected a new XBOX One Controller to a PS4 directly via Bluetooth, but it doesn't work because the PS4 does not natively understand Xbox Commands without Conversion.

Downloaded the patches for my converters and when I start the process, the program freezes. I tried both normal and Tournament patches and all been the same, just nothing. I am on Windows 10 with the recent Anniversary update.

EDIT: Gonna try troubleshooting before I give up. Restarted my PC and plugged into a neighbor USB port and they work fine! Nevermind! Hopefully they work fine on the PS4!

Does anyone here have any issues updating their PS3 to PS4 converter on Windows 8? Haven't used my converter in forever since I play on PC but I'm trying to download the Tournament Edition update before I head out to a tournament over the weekend. Whenever I try to run the file for the update, it will either just sit there forever or go to "not responding" as soon as I click on it or bring the window into focus. I've tried restarting my PC as well as using different USB ports.

I didnt even update my ps3 to ps4 converter and installed the latest psn update.
It is still working like a charme without 8 min disconnects.
    Did sony finally give up?

don't connect your controller for update.
this "freeze" situation happens when a controller is connected to the converter for firmware update(201607)

    Hello everyone,

I've got a PS3->PS4 white Brook converter (firmware updated). Used it yesterday on two different PS4s at an FG meeting, when I tried plugging it into another console, it just wouldn't work - no LEDs light up, no nothing. And that's how it is right now everywhere. I tried plugging it into a PC to see whether it gets at least recognized by the device manager - nothing at all.

Tried running the firmware update just to see if at least something happens. Obviously, no device was found. This has already happened to me in the past and was fixed with me not using the converter for a few days, but the fact that it simply stops working after an hour of usage is kinda annoying.

Has anyone had this issue? Is there any fix to it? Reset of the USB or anything?

Exactly. The converter refused to work anywhere for a while and when I tried it out a week later or so, it started working again. I'm currently back to no-lights-on-ever mode.

Have you tried plugging it into a USB extension cord first? I use mine with that and it works all the time. It happened on very few occasions that it wouldn't work when plugged directly into the usb port of the console.

So I just got 2 Red Brook Converters (PS3/PS4 -> XB1) and I attempted to update the firmware. I'm not having much luck with it though.

I tried different USB ports and 3 different PCs, but none of my attempts have been successful. I followed the instructions. I updated the driver on the USB Device from Device Manager to use the Zero Plus driver supplied with the firmware. The Brook converter is registering as an Xbox One Controller. I then ran the "A" update executable as an administrator. But when the update window pops up, I get nothing but "Please plug in a controller".

I've tried several controllers including FightSticks and official PS4 pads but I can never get passed that prompt.

I also tried updating a couple of White Brook Converters (PS3 -> Xbox 360) and that firmware updater won't go past the screen that says press SELECT + PS Button. I don't know if that's related at all but another issue nonetheless.

    Any ideas?

I'm on Windows 10 with the Anniversary Update. I was using this firmware for the Reds "PS3PS4toXBOXONE_V15_20160222" and this firmware for the Whites "UniversalFightingBoard_V18_201609".

    2. did you go to Device and Printers to check if all keys of your Elite controller work fine?

Sooo I got a Yellow PS3 to PS4 brooks in the mail the other day and recently found out it needs to be updated.

I read through the thread trying to find my issue (I would also like clarification if it is true that the current build does not require a firmware update and all it needs is to have the driver installed), but here it goes:

    1) Executable A stays in "Please Plug in Controller" screen, even with controller plugged it.
    2) I try to do the next steps anyways and I am able to change the lights on the converter to red by pressing Start and Home, but can't get it to change to Purple by pressing Home and Left.
    3) Window still says "Please plug in Controller" anyways despite all this.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

Yes the view Button alone as Touch Works fine. But in the Manual it sais you can jse view+right thumbstick to emulate the Touch movement? Or what does it mean?

I have tried to update to the latest (September) firmware on 2 different PC's now, using different USB ports. The same thing happens everytime, I open the program and it immediately freezes (not responding). I do not have a controller plugged in. The converter is white colored, and the blue LED's light up when I plug it in. These do not change color.

This seems to happen with every update, it is a real struggle to get it working. Not sure what to do.

Hi everyone! Sorry if my question was posted before in thread... but didn't find it.
I want to acquire a pair of 'Xbox 360/Xbox ONE to PS4 Super Converter' because I have a MadCatz TE Round 2 and a Madcatz VS fightstick, both for Xbox360 (I use to play local matches too).

My main target is playing SFV on PS4 with these xbox360 sticks... but I also want to know if I can play on PS4 with Xbox ONE wireless controllers (no bluetooth) if I get an official 'Xbox wireless adapter for Windows 10'.

I read somewhere that I can play on PS4 with 360 wireless controllers if I own the 'Brook Super Converter + Xbox360 official wireless adapter for PC' (the old one)... but I don't know if I can do that with the new Xbox One adapter for PC. Could it be possible?? Thx!!!

Finally, I supose that you couldn't test a PS4 Pro yet... but do you think that 'Xbox 360/Xbox ONE to PS4 Super Converter' will be compatible with PS4 Pro?

Thanks in advance and sorry for the inconvenience!!!!

If the date is later than 2016/04, please download the firmware update on our website directly.

There is no date on mine, but I know this must be an earlier one because I bought this from you guys before you guys even had a proper store.

Anyways, I tried using the older update, but when trying to switch to update mode it wouldn't respond. So I just tried the new update again and it worked this time.
I have no idea what changed, I definitely didn't update the firmware or anything, so I'm not sure why this bugs out so much. I have problems with every update. I guess the solution is just to keep trying and it will randomly work?

Please use correct file to update. Because every converters owned different patch file to do.
What file and converter to do?

Sorry hope I made it clear that the problem is fixed. I successfully updated using the latest firmware. I just don't know why it wasn't working yesterday, but now it works today. Either way I can confirm it 100% works now.

Firmware 2016-09 is working ok on my PS3->PS4 adapter

    1. Uninstall the zero labs driver:
Devices and Printers > Wired PS4 Controller > Click on "Zero Labs Driver" in the list to highlight it > "Properties" button > "Driver" tab > "Uninstall" button

If the "Uninstall" button is greyed out, try the "Change settings" button in the "General" tab after clicking on the "Properties" button.

    2. Upgrade to the older firmware (2016-06) as mentioned above. I used the TE version.

    3. Upgrade using the 2016-09 drivers. As well, I used the TE version.

This last step is very buggy. I only gotten it to work after 4 attempts. It would freeze or flicker, and I would have to close the program and try again. I remember inserting the adapter between 2 different USB slots or forgetting my arcade stick or ps3 gamepad connected in the adapter during the 2016-09 update attempts which may contributed to the 5th attempt working

    1. If your stick or gamepad work well with your converter, don't click compatible controller updated.

    2. During updating process, please don't plug your stick or gamepad in Brook converter .

Brook converters don't support XBOX ONE Wireless Adapter.
And PS4 Pro will be tested:)
