I have been using the Brook PS3 to PS4 adapter for my own Qanba stick and it's been working great. Yesterday I lent it to a friend who tried to get his Exaprize Sanwa Edition working on his PS4 Pro and it didn't work at all (https://shoryuken.com/2011/10/23/exar-exaprize-usb-fight-stick-sanwa-edition/). Might want to add this to the compatibility list I guess.

this one is officially licensed by Sony?

My friend was trying to update his PS3/PS4 to PS2 converter and the firmware was not opening up properly. It featured an error message called "fail to open index file." We asked our friends to download the same firmware on their computers and had the same exact issue.

Even it didn't work on my computer. I did notice something though. The site shows that the update is "20170824" but on download, it's on 20170726. Can you fix the download link?

you can download it again and try it now

So after years of not playing any fighting games, I'm dipping my toe back into Street Fighter after buying it on sale this weekend. I just got the Brook 360 to PS4 converter for my custom Arcade In A Box 360 stick. I believe these sticks are just the guts of 360 sticks wired to arcade parts. I plugged the converter and then my stick into my PS4, and it worked fine navigating the menus and PS Store, but none of my games seem to recognize it outside of the Home (Xbox) and Share (Back) buttons. I tried to update the firmware, but as other people on this page have noted, the servers are down at the moment.

Has anyone else had this issue? Am I missing something here, will a firmware update fix it, or am I out of luck?

    Thanks!

EDIT UPDATE: I have sort of got the stick to work in SF5 by turning on a Dualshock 4, customizing the controls, entering a game, and switching to the stick. I am currently doing trials with the stick, but can't use it at all in menus, which is obviously problematic.

you can try to download the firmware and do the update again now.
and after the update, if it still doesn't work, i'm sorry, that means it is not compatible with your custom stick

Works with the Brook PS3/4 to PS2/Xinput converter, and by itself does not work well under windows. I haven't tested it with the other Brook converter I own.

PS3/PS4 to PS2 Super Converter problem. Using version 20171013.

Just to test stuff, I was playing Capcom vs. SNK with a Dual Shock 3 and it looks like it's triggering multiple inputs on occasion. I just mash around square and X then I see either one or multiple inputs from the other buttons out of nowhere. Pressing L3 or R3 triggers some of the inputs as well, even when analog is disabled.

If you need video evidence, let me know ASAP so I can record footage.

    hi guys,
I have a question for you. I still have 2 arcade Stick: Hori Fighting Stick Mini (Ps3/Ps4) and Qamba Q4Raf (ps3/xbox 360/pc).

I will buy Xbox One X: is it possible to use one of my 2 controller with Xbox One X with an adapter like this: http://www.brookaccessory.com/detail/03946072/ ? Is it a good product? Do you think that the Hori Fighting Mini will work on X Box One X?

    thanks!

Having an issue with both of my Xbox 360>PS4 adapters. PS4 fw 5.01 and the lastest Brook. FW. Only the home button is working.

Edit, NM, USB GND was coming off the PCB.

so it's better to avoid this adapter in order to use for example Hori Fighting stick mini?

DS3s may have ghost inputs due to the way it's built, as it is a thin ribbon instead of a circuit board. You may have to reseat the cable or do the tape trick.

Damn. Try using a reliable Arcade controller to see if the issue persists...

Do the converters that convert to XB1 make the controllers be recognized as Xinput on PC?

Just got PS4 Taiko no Tatsujin drum controller, unfortunately it is not compatible with the PS4/PS3 to PS2 converter. Anyway I can help you so you can update the converter? I have VID and PID info. I really want it to act as a PS2 drum for the taiko games on ps2.

I have the red ps3/4 to xbox one adapter, and when I tried updating the firmware, after executing the 20160418 file successfully, I tried executing the online file and I get a message that says "DETECTED LDROM. PROGRAM WILL ATTEMPT TO FIX." then it just gets stuck after the logo fills up. No light anymore when plugged into pc or console. It's still recognized as a WPM USB device by my pc (Windows 7). Any suggestions? @Brook_Engineer @GOGO.Zippy

So I got the PS3/PS4 to Switch Converter and when I tried using it with Splatoon 2, I notice it actually has some lag on the sticks. The buttons and d-pad are fine. Is anybody else's like this or did I get a faulty converter?

There's lag, but not just on the sticks. The 20171013 beta firmware has improved the situation. :)

The PS3/PS4 to WiiU and PS3/PS4 to Switch converter are the same hardware, right? Mine is the WiiU converter using the Switch converter firmware.

Hi, I have a white Brook converter (PS3 to PS4) and it doesn't work with my PS360+ PCB
As a test, it works fine with PS3 Dualshock 3 gamepad.

Brook converter is updated to latest firmware, same as PS360+.

    What can I do?

PS: I've read earlier in this thread that the PS360+ compatibility was missed in some firmware version, could it be the case with latest Brook firmware as well?

Sorry for the dumb question...but I'm about to pull the trigger on a Qanba Q4 and was hoping to confirm the following for sure before I go ahead with the purchase:

But in order to work on an Xbox One, all I would need is to set it to Xbox 360 and then buy a 360/One converter, right? Or I could set it to PS3 and buy a PS3/One converter just the Same, right?

Thanks for the help in advance.

I've got a dualshock 1 I used on PS3 with a converter and now can't get it to work on ps4. I got a few different converters for PS4 but can't find a good combo to get my ps1 dualshock to register. Any way to get it active? If not, is there anyone who can gut my PS1 pad and rewire it for a ps4?

I managed to get the beta firmware for the PS3/PS4 to Switch and for some reason now all inputs do not register. Am I supposed to do the button combination to get it to register or am I doing something wrong?

Ouch. Here it works, and there's not supposed to be pairing anymore, unlike up to the previous firmware version (the latest official one as of today - November 7, 2017).

Does anyone know if the PS2 to PS3/4/PC Adapter will support a PS1 Namco Arcade stick? Recently got one to restore, just need to know if there is any issues with having it work with the adapter, or if I should just throw in an actual Brook PS3/4 PCB.
    Thanks guys!

    @Brook_Engineer

here's how it looks on PC:
    - if I connect a wired PS3 gamepad, the lights will turn red on pressing buttons/moving directions: https://i.imgur.com/zuH4bnG.png

    - with the PS360+ stick connected: https://i.imgur.com/d35bMSS.png - if i press buttons/direction, nothing turns red

one more thing I noticed, the Brook device is recognized as PS4 Wired Gamepad V2.1 in Device Manager, but the controllers attached are listed as PS3 Wired Gamepad V1.9
could this difference version be an issue?

Update on that DualShock 3 problem on the PS3/4 to PS1/2 converter.

It was definitely the ribbon inside the DS3 giving me the issues. Taped it up and no weird inputs at all. Thank you @Riderkicker

that should not be an issue.
so it can't work with the PS360+ after its update? so it used to work before the update?
