It will work in anything after you remove the old PCB, and wire it up to the stick/buttons.

Curious as to what the solder points above the LS/DP/RS points are for.

Also it seems like they do player LEDs, but can they also do PS4 player indicator lights?

Other than that, it's a great looking board! Hopefully they can map the buttons on the touch row with button combinations, and make LS/DP/RS selectable through a config mode like the PS360+ (though it'd probably render the jumpers for those switches useless).

I take it those 1-20 solderpoints are similar in layout to ps360? Providing compatibility with kaimana mini?

This looks amazing! In the future please consider a revision to support oldery legacy consoles like the PS2 and Dreamcast. I know it's a niche concern, but it would truly make this board the go-to for enthusaists.

It says this supports touchpad functionality as well. Does this mean we have to go with Brooks touchpads ( I can't find any information on their store or even a picture) or can we cannibalize one from an existing PS4 pad?

    Looks great.
I'll definitely look into getting a few of these when the CAD/USD exchange rate moves a bit more in my favor.

The timing of this announcement/availability is hilarious: I JUST bought two HFC4s to dual/triple-mod into mine and my brother's sticks (PS360+ and MCC+4716+Imp2). :D
    Current at-home stick: Hori VLX Kuro (LS-40-01 + PS-14-K)
Current portable stick: Mad Catz TvC (LS-40-01 + PS-14-KN)
Current guest-sticks: custom ABS Modular stick (JLF + OBSN-30), custom Saint-stick (Happ/IL Competition)
    Cabinet: custom "Resistor" cabinet (32" LCD, X360, P1=LS-32-01 + PS-14-KN, P2=JLF + OBSC-30)
Previous sticks: custom Happ CvS2 Double-sticks, custom Happ Hitomi-stick & Xenosaga-stick, custom Sanwa/Seimitsu Neptune-stick and Sylvia-stick, modded Mad Catz TvC, modded Mad Catz Brawlstick, modded Hori FSVX, modded Exar Exaprize

    Looking for:
CPS2 (green or blue): Hyper SF2
Naomi GD-ROM: SF Zero3 Upper, Puyo Puyo Fever, Triggerheart Excelica, Ikaruga

Looking forward to this, just got my job lot of Brook fightboards from PAS (the form factor is really tiny!) & they work great. If I can buy 1 of these I can get rid of my XBONE TE2 that would be great!

Sorry if I'm misunderstanding but are they for the same thing then, the ones labeled J2 and J7? I see the SPDT switch for the J7 being for switching analog sticks and D-pad, but is the J2 for another SPDT for the same purpose or something else?

Honestly i don't know what the J2 set is for at the moment - ill try to follow the traces and see where it leads.

I currently have a TE Kitty in my Madcatz SFxT VS stick. If I understand correctly, to install this, I'd need to buy a ground daisychain, and could do it solderlessly to get basic functionality, but would need to solder if I wanted player LEDs, the DP/RS/LS switch to work, and the turbo button to work. The functionality I would lose would be having turbo LED indicators for every button in favor of a single turbo LED, and I would lose the ability to use the lock switch at all. Is that all correct?

Jasen and I have been testing them for about a month. Initial reports with the prototypes I've received: on PS4 - better performance than a FC4, on XBOXONE is on par with the TE2... haven't spent too much time on the older consoles but was not able to feel any noticeable lag. I will be testing when the official boards drop.

if it's just another ps360+ ersatz I'll pass.

    What players REALLY need:

-no bullshit promises concerning 8mn timeout as it was the case in the past
-NATIVE USB in full speed for PC
-NO ghosting (for PC at least) with possibility to press all inputs at once, and also NO random output if directions are pressed simultaneously ( remember there are HitBOX fans here too)
-practically zero input lag (WAITING FOR TEYAH'S TEST...) on ALL platforms (not something like low lag on one and tons of lag on another as with most multi-platform PCBs )
-full compatibility with older console systems (optional but a necessity for some who have a whole collection)

Usually this sort of "exclusivity" deal = faulty stock management (always out of stock & extremely long periods for re-stocking ) + payment problems (often) + overpriced overseas shipping (always) .

Why not go full on EBAY? Sure there's a lot of crooks on ebay but you can get your money back in a heartbeat and it's much more practical for overseas. Fact.

How easily will this fit into a Mad Catz SE shell? YEs, I use one of those (modded with Sanwa parts, obviously) as my stick of choice, as I find it fits in my lap better, and I'd be interested if this was a drop-in-and-go solution.
I write about games. Current post about the PS3's hacking.

Please take a look at the tech writeup I did. The short answer is NO. It is a USB device only. Older things like Dreamcast, PS2, NES, SNES, etc. need more than the 2 datelines which USB provides. PS360+ did some electronic wizardry using extra pins on the uP of the board to make legacy support work. The Brook UFB doesn't.

If you can find a spot, it will work. Its the same size as a PS360+ so if you pull the stock board, and make some room you should be good to go.
