    I don't think Venom has anything close to MorriDoom or Spiral/Sent, where you can spend nearly the whole match in blockstun without even getting close to them.

    Even better? If they made him like they did in Zenkai Battle Royale where he could set "Saibaman proximity bombs" that would leap out and latch onto your opponents if they got close. Give him a bit of a Testament like vibe with traps.

    Sometimes GGXRD camera doesn't pull back far enough for the dynamic moves of perspective they suddenly do. Granted Marvel games tend to never do that, but go 2-3 screens high vertically instead. Arcsys has more experience doing it the other way with Isuka, ala a Samurai Showdown space out by being too far apart and that happens.

    Camera Director could be as important as the mythical Battle Director this time around.

    Lets hope they consider some of that from a gameplay perspective more than just spinaroonie cinematics.

    You know, the fact that this is gonna be an Arcsys title makes me wonder - will the game have an ENG dub?
    The only modern Dragon Ball games that didn't have one are Super Dragon Ball Z, Fusions, Extreme Butoden, though Fusions and Butoden are portable titles

    Arcsys makes it but it's not with their money, they are hired to do it by Namco/

    At the bottom of the press release there is a bunch of language planned so I assume those will not just be text.

    It's not crazy hard to translate a game, you need to code the system that can handle multiple voice files (probably they have it already since it was in Sign) and then what you mostly need is a bunch of money to hire voice actors and studios around the world to translate shit for you and record it.
    It's never that easy because there is always the occasional annoying bug but that's the general idea.

    So long story short I would be very surprised if it's not fully translated in multiple languages.

    The way the match is described you can pretty much forget about the idea of the match ending when one character dies.

    3 vs 3 huh? How will fusions work? Maybe it will be something like tatsunoko vs capcom and they take up an extra character slot but are buffed in a certain way, like health?

    also I don't think there should be any excessive transformations like the budokai/tenkaichi/ raging blast series, goku should start as super saiyan(let him transform into it when the fight starts) and have an extra transformation that has a time limit and drains health slowly like ssj3 or takes a supers worth of energy like ssj blue. I'd love it if they did stuff like this to make it closer to the anime/manga. Any way, think of the air neutral game! How would they use flight, air dashes or like MvsC2 magneto/storm? it would be interesting if its like arcana hearts or better yet make it like super sonic warriors!

    Not necessarily. Most Z games still had characters from DB and GT. Budokai 3 has Omega Shenron, Super Saiyan 4, and Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta. Same with Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and countless other games. I'm sure it won't be any different here.

    If this has been said before ignore but havnt read the whole thread.. maybe since its supposed to be a 3vs3 game, maybe a way to work fusion characters in(there better be vegito dammit!)

    Maybe something like you can pick a fusion character but it takes up 2 character slots? Or maybe something like you have to have each corresponding character on the team, then if you have a level 3 or whatever way the power bar will work, you can fuse those 2 characters?

    might be a way to sorta try to ghetto balance it in someway shape or form while still allowing for the more fun obviously stronger characters to be useable.

    I doubt they will have fusion characters take up 2 slots. I think they will be treated as regular characters unless they plan on doing a ratio like system which I doubt.

    Beers, Hit, Zamasu and Black are shoe ins depending on the roster size on launch. Jiren has an extremely high chance due to timing of the current arc and the game's release.

    I honestly don't think there will be fusions or transformations outside of a couple install supers. From the rumors it seems they are really striving for a competitive game. Probably not going to have stat boosts and shit like that from previous dbz games IMO.

    But honestly I kinda doubt it, I think fusions will be simply characters.

    Dragon Ball isn't really keen on waifus. There's Bulma, Chi-Chi, Android 18, Videl, Launch, and that's basically it. There's also Zangya from the Bojack movie but she's non canon anyway so whatevs

    I can see this being a thing if the game has THC of sorts. Would be a cool way to add fanservice without really sacrificing gameplay.

    I don't think this would be viable in a tournament setting, but I want this game to have stage transitions. For example when you're fighting in kami's look-out you could send your opponent all the way to the ground.
    Injustice and DBZ: Hyper Dimensions had it, I think it could work.

    I don't see any problem with stage transitions being on competitive. As long they don't take much time and don't happen all the damn time they're fine.
