I should be up for this year. Will make a proper official post soon. I only ask that I don't get paired up with someone who has been my recipient before and vice versa.

You meet the six months requirement, so just a matter of a few posts and you should be OK.

Well thats quick. I am sure the HuCard Hudsonsoft and NEC labels gave it away.

Not to derail the thread, but I am going to do little fun things throughout the thread. And depending on things play out, we have another BONUS ROUND.
Kinda like how last year we had a extra secret secret santa sending out a 2nd gift to a random person.

And no I am not giving away the PC Engine Duo, I am keeping that sucker.

I was going to be an ass, but the time I took to get myself some more coffee I decided to rethink the whole post.
Were supposed to be teaching people.

So a PC Engine is just a name of a Console, it is known in the US as the Turbo Grafix 16. It was a console built by the joint partnership of NEC and Hudson Soft.
The PC Engine/ Turbo Grafix 16 had the first CD Add on for a game console (even before the Sega CD).
The PC Engine Duo and the Turbo Grafix Duo is a All-in-One console with the CD built in.
What the POST-IT note covering is the card slot for the game cards for the console.
A PC Engine Duo-R is the revision of the console I got here. I was going later do some mods (definitely a RGB video mod) and maybe a recap of the console.
The PC Engine/ Turbo Grafix 16 is an expensive console to collect for but is loved by Shmup (SHoot eM UP) players for having alot of Shmup games.

I did the Motherboard pic as my pic as often many people will do their favorite stick or their current stick project as their picture, others do whatever fits their interests.
This is a mix for me as I am inspecting the board to see if I need any repairs and last year I did the inside of a SNES as I got a later revision of the SNES with the right video mod produce a better video signal than ealier SNES consoles.
I decided to go this route for my submission pic as not many people on SRK dabble in console mods/repair.

Ah right, I've heard of the turbo grafix before, just never heard it called the pc engine, that's what threw me.

Neat as, so when you say rgb video do you mean component or is it so aged that it needs an upgrade for rca output?

Yo that looks awesome, what character is that?

Sort of, similar concept, different color space. Component video as you know the Blue, Magenta and Green RCA plugs uses a YPBPR color space, where I say RGB the video information in the RGB color space and separates the signals into Red, Blue and Green. But it's easy to adapt the RGB into Component video, VGA or HDMI and you get none of the video artifacts and distortion from composite (Yellow plug) video or S-video or a RF switch. RGB video is a big deal around Retro console aficionados. And many HD TVs don't even accept Analog RF or composite video any more.
You can PM me if you want more info and I can point you to the right sources.

Those are some fancy sticks, diy?

That top one is a modded Hori Hrap.

They are both sticks from project Smash, which is to develop an alternate controller for Smash bros
The four Yellow C buttons including that Down C is replacing the C stick from the Game Cube

Or if he was quasi-active throughout the year. He didn't have to race to get his post count up now.
One post per week for a year, 52 weeks, he would be well over his required minimum.

Last year we had to make a judgement call as somethings went into a grey area.
The changed made this year was to avoid those tough calls and make the rules more cut and dry.

You win. I apologize for any grief I have caused in trying to be a part of a gift giving event through the forum. I shall go back to simply reading posts on a weekly basis as I have in the 892 visits I've made over the past six years (892/6 = 149 visits per year = 2.85 visits per week) I'm sorry that I don't feel like I have anything post that would be of value to the forum. Thank you for what you do to keep this site flourishing. I have truly enjoyed all that I have gotten out of it. I have learned to solder, learned to fix fightsticks and consoles, learned to make cosmetic mods, and overall added value to my enjoyment of the FGC.

    Turkoglu out!

Your incessant counting of each of your own posts (and patronizing obnoxiousness) is beginning to DEvalue my enjoyment of the FGC. Post to help others, or make a contributory statement—not to fill servers with extraneous data. We’ve got plenty of that here already.

Hey if he can knock out another 24 legitly by Nov 10, I got no issues.

I do not want make any issues. I made the rules cut and dry and little room for leeway this year to avoid issues, not to start new ones.
I didn't make the rules to single any one person out, just to protect other participants basing this on years of experience other organizers had in the past.

Honestly I even forgot about Dela when I came up with this years rules. I just saw the note I left myself (or other future organizers) for future years and act on it.
I personally have nothing against @dela04 , he seems to me a okay guy to me and based on past experiences I think he on the level.

I do know if I started to make exceptions for one person, other people who fit into a similar scenario could ask for the same exceptions.
And for that reason I want to tighten the gaps. I don't want to make judgement calls here, as they are never fun.

If anyone thinks I been unfair please let me know.

Announcing countdown with each post, to me, sounds crass and patronizing. But maybe it’s just me.
I think it’s time to take a break from SRK. It’s making me mostly a grump-ass lately.
