I think the easiest pad to hack is the Mad Catz one as it is common ground and literally has holes for all the buttons. You may need some resistors to disable the triggers, but I don't know which ones to get.

Other option, and more expensive, is to buy an MC Cthulhu.

Or a Agetech Stick, but that negates the point as its a whole stick.

i say try to find used MC Cthulhu if possible, super easy. The Madcatz DC pads are hit or miss when it comes to Common ground pcbs.

PS360+ and pick up some Dreamcast cords. You just have to wire the stick.

    Direct from the product page:
“Theses [sic] MC Cthulhu boards do not work reliably on USB connections, i.e. PC or PS3. I think its not enumerating fast enough for the USB aspect to be recognized, i.e. its getting beyond the USB auto-detect faster than the PC can handshake with it. It has been tested working fine on some PSX, Dreamcast, and Gamecube consoles.”

It has recently been easier to find needles in haystacks than it has been to source these Akishop DC cables at retailers. Ordering from Akishop directly is an arduous measure of patience that few can endure...
