Cause he says it in plain english at the end of the show. He was going through how he cant die by he is slowly still aging and the Doctor says he doesnt know how long he will live. So Jack goes on about how he used to be a model and that was his nickname "The Face of Boe". Its a shortened version of the area he is from, cant remember the full name.

I need to create a Paradox machine just so I can make sense of the season 3 finale. All that buildup and nothing but disappointment.

im pretty sure the master and the dr are the last timelords..unless they changed the continuity around.

Sorry, but not true. They come from a far distant planet called Galifrey. There pretty much everyone is a timelord. Also, there is a governing council, that determines certain rules that timelords are supposed to follow. Even though the Doctor uses his knowledge & time-travel ability for good, he constantly has to break their "rules" to get them accomplished, and it makes the council uncomfortable from time-to-time.
A long time ago, a scientist used an experiment & it created all life on Galifrey to be super intelligent, though it almost destroyed Galifrey. He needed for it's sun to go supernova. Galifrey looks like a huge meteorite & the scientist died in the huge blast (or did he?).
Actually, he turned up alive, but was thrust into another dimension & wanted to return to Galifrey to rule again. But The Doctor had to once again break the "rules" & go back in time to find his previous regenerations, pull them from their time eras, and have all 5 of his previous selves battle the very first timelord (I can't think of his name.).

none of that disproves that the master and the doctor are last of the timelords..all the other timelords got killed off in the timewar. technically the master got killed off in the movie but came back somehow.

Rose is back? More Jack? This could be the best season since 1. It'll be interesting to see who replaces Tennant. I say it's about time we had a female Doctor (if that's physically possible).

River Song is probably the doctor's future wife.

I say it's and older Rose Tyler based on some of the things she said that sound exactly like what Rose have said in the past. I'm in the process of rewatching S1 and 2 to find out exactly which lines go to which. For instance this one, "I trust that man to the end of the universe, and actually, we've been", could refer to the episode where they went to the end of time and met The Master.

He went with Martha though didn't he? The last one I saw was the Ood one so I have no idea what you guys are talking about haha.
I haven't liked this new season all that much. Donna gets all mad at the Doctor for not saving people, then he saves .01% of them (and just dumps them on a random mountain lol) and it's ok? Also, the Doctor wouldn't destroy the Earth to save the universe from the Daleks, but he didn't mind destroying Pompeii to save the world. Just seems weird, but I'll keep watching and hope I like it better.

Yeah I thought it might've been Rose too but then I thought it would be too obvious.
After doing some googling my bet is that it's Larna in some form or other back when they had the whole Omega plot. The doctor says something like "there's only one time I could've" when he's talking about his name so I'm guessing it has to be someone from from Gallifrey.
Seeing as the series is gonna be off the air the 2 years after this one they better bloody wrap up River Song and have the doctor become the bad-ass that she saw him as otherwise I'm gonna be pissed.
Oh and yes, Jenny is supremely hot. Jenny as Cammy FTW!

They never have been in the past. The Doctor and the Master were always male, Romana and the Rani were always female.

Which are you referring to with "who?"

Romana was a female Time Lord that traveled with the Doctor for a portion of Tom Baker's run. The Rani was a Time Lord villain from the Sylvestor McCoy era. They both regenerated at least once and were female in every form they took.
