Rory's death was a fixed point so bringing him back would've fucked up the future I guess. I really don't understand it properly though.

It was a little heartbreaking, but not so bad. Great way to make the Weeping Angels even more badass.
Why exactly couldn't the Doctor go back in time to see or save Amy and Rory though? He did it when Martha and him were transported back in time.

Why couldn't the doctor go back to at least a year after or use the manipulator? I understand that the Angels would chase them forever, but I would hope it would make the Doctor pissed enough to accidentally destroy their entire race!

That is what I was expecting as well, I mean they just screwed over two of his closest friends who had actual lives and family in a different time and country. I was expecting him to at least do something to the angel that snuck up on them. I get they are moving away from vengeful Doctor and he is "trying to stay under the radar" but come the Doctor has been looking bitch made this season. Asylum of the Daleks he was decent but got outshined by Oswin, every other episode, he is coming off as dumber or I should say less clever then he previously has been shown to be in handling bigger threats.

Same here. Seasons 5 & 6 were gold, but 7 thus far is turning out to be "ok" at best.

honestly, i haven't really liked any of these new episodes. everything had this "rushed" feel to them. Brian was the best thing about the season.
i didn't like how they nerfed the angels either. earlier angels were faster and indestructible. they also had the weakness that they can't look at each other. Statute of Liberty Angel was the shit if you didn't think about how unbelievable that is (too many people in New York to have 0 people looking at the SoL- especially since they did some "T-Rex from Jurassic Park" level foreshadowing [the loud steps]. after the first *thump* people would be looking around to figure out wtf that noise was).
one cool thing was homey from Office Space showing up. "deeeeeeper and deeeeeeper" homey, not "jump-to-conclusions mat" homey.

I couldn't care less how bad the episode is, I'm glad we're switching to new companions.
For the record, I haven't watched it yet. Only internet service available to me until thursday blocks torrents.

A simple Google video search should turn up a dailymotion link or something.
And new companions? But Rory and Amy were great and had so much involvement.

I was hoping to download the episode while at school and watch at home. Can't really watch in class.
I find they overstayed their welcome and their schtick got overplayed.

Amy had 2 and 1/2 seasons. Rose had 2 seasons, Martha had 1, and Donna had 1. So, how did they get the second shortest?
