Wow, you got that galactus too! I remember seeing that in the comic con movie. Actually, once I got that book I felt exactly how he did when he got that galactus "I'm good! I'M GOOD!" haha.

Do you know if they had these at comic con while you were there?

Maaan, I should've looked around some more. It all went by so fast.

They probably were there. I did take pics of the Marvel toys at the Hasbro booth I'm not sure if they were there or not.

Got the same deal but without preview night. Number was 9997, I didn't I think I was even going to get close to a four day let alone a single. Does anybody know if preview night will be available separately in future sales?

That's awesome that you got it for your friends too.

It should be since this was a small portion of the badges. I noticed in a facebook group I'm in some people were upset they didn't get preview night.

I was 10,000 something earlier this morning and I think I could have got 4 days with or without preview night. I'm glad they did this because for the people who went. I hope they do this from now on. I don't like how the prices change every year

    this is by Friday/Saturdays
    2010 - 35
    2011 - 37
    2012 - 40
    2013 - 42

Next thing to worry about is the parking permits sometime around April next year.

Thanks man. Yeah it feels like such a relief getting it out of the way though, so I can't complain much. I actually would've been just happy that I even got a ticket and 4 is even better, which is plenty of time. Those parking permits, and hotels are other headaches to worry about but I'm just happy we all got through this process not going empty handed.

Btw, how was parking for you guys this year? I had to run back to this one lot that had it changed from one day being 40, with an additional 20 everyday afterwards. I'm not sure how bad it was in the convention itself since my lot was a little closer to the hotel we stayed in. Good thing it was only two days. I really want to be more prepared this time around. Really learned some hard lessons not being familiar with how the convention works or how san diego operates as a city during the event.
  • THE_KZATHE_KZA ayy lmao Joined: Posts: 961
I've always bought permits to park at the convention center. It was 10 bucks a day but the fee was like a couple bucks. I would recommend getting that because if you were to buy or carry a lot of stuff you could always go back and forth and drop stuff off. When it comes to permits its not like buying badges in which everyone goes crazy waiting about it. They do sell quick but I think most people prefer to take the train there or walk from their hotels.

I'm worried about the hotels. The hotel I stayed at sucked. I want to crash at one of the top tier hotels but its too damn pricy.
  • CHOWZCHOWZ Joined: Posts: 330
DAAAAMN. 10 bucks, well that sucks. Will be doing that next time.

Yeah the hotel thing was a pain too, I remember trying to sign up for those when they had the deals. The thing was like trying to buy comiccon tickets all over again.

The hotel we stayed at wasn't too bad, it was about 10 min walking distance (which didn't even feel that long) and they gave us alot of free food. We went back there alot to drop off our stuff. Our plan was to have more people and split the fee so it would be as bad for everyone trying to get a room. We tried doing that with some people we knew but by the time we knew it, they were 8 people already in the group. We met some people at SD hat were really nice, and they host alot for their friends for a small fee so we're looking in to doing that next time as well since they're really close to the convention center. But hopefully we get a big enough group to get into those top tier hotels. We really don't mind who stay with, honestly I think we were hoping we would meet people just because it would be more fun that way especially during the event.
  • THE_KZATHE_KZA ayy lmao Joined: Posts: 961
Yeah. I would totally be down to put in for a hotel. Don't the hotels get mad if you have a lot of people crashing in? I know the crappy hotels they don't care but like the Hilton, Hard Rock, Marriott.

I also want to party too kinda regret not doing that for the times I've been going to Comic-Con.
  • CHOWZCHOWZ Joined: Posts: 330
Yeah, I feel yah man. It felt weird on those nights after comiccon ended, we felt like there was still more to be done and people to see. Thinking about cosplaying for a day, it seems like people with costumes have more fun.

I still have small withdrawals about Comic-Con. It went by too quick this year for some reason.

After Comic-Con you would expect people to step it up on Halloween lol. I've watched that video so many times also the other ones he posted too.

Yeah, he's actually one of the guys we tried hanging out with. He helped me the first time with getting tickets for comic con.

My cousin works for him (he's actually one of the people that filmed the early ones), they have a site called "Critiques for Geeks". He's a really cool guy, I've met him a couple times and I had no idea he was the deadpool guy. I guess that's why it was so hard trying to keep in contact with him that day, apparently he was busy haha.

Its going to be awesome though next year, I can feel it. This is a good start. We'll work our way through conventions and small events to get the small withdrawals out the way. But next year man, we'll be ready.

Damn, even when I did save it still didn't feel like enough! Next time the plan is get exclusive items first day, lay off on and get free swag the next day, do panels when you can on the saturday, and do all the spending on sunday (with hopes that the prices go lower).

Alot can happen in a year though, so we'll see what happens. I just need to stop spending money on all these fighting games and artbooks they got coming out and i'll be good haha

Saturday - Adventure Time panel, other exclusives if available, get swag til 5 then over to Petco for Walking Dead Escape : Adventure Time panel (lined up at 6:00 AM), not much swag AT ALL, picked up Mattel pre orders, Walking Dead Escape at 6:00 (videos I posted earlier)
Sunday - Adventure Time museum, get swag last minute : Adventure Time museum, went up to Sails at 4:30 and got a bunch of swag bags (you can really get as many as you want - Hobbit, Man of Steel went first and I didn't get any)

Hard to answer because every year is different. Some Sundays have a lot of big announcements and surprises, some don't. Sunday will probably be the least important date. It's usually people packing stuff up so they can go home early. Up to you I guess.

Last year there was the Archie / Mega Man comic panel and one final Capcom panel. Me personally I'm glad I didn't miss either.

I don't do photographs (except of cosplayers walking around mostly lol) or autographs at all so honestly I couldn't tell you. I'm mainly there for panels.

I guess if you miss getting autographs from someone Thur / Fri / Sat it's another day. The bigger sigatures will probably go down Friday and Saturday but again, every year is different and the schedule still isn't up yet.

Comikaze going down this weekend. Todd McFarlane doing free signings FTW but its only 2 items lol
  • THE_KZATHE_KZA ayy lmao Joined: Posts: 961
I forgot to write up about Comikaze. Only went on Saturday. My friends and I arrived there before 10 but the line to get the wristbands were long. I think that was the biggest complaint from the convention and the other was about parking. It was the 2nd time they had it there but the first time since Stan Lee put his name on it. After we got in looked around the various booths. We Went in line to meet Todd McFarlane but the fat security guard was like its not guaranteed but Todd started to sign before 11. While my friends waited in line, I headed over to J Scott Campbells booth to get some of my comics signed. One guy in the McFarlane line was jealous that I had the Uncanny X-Men 510 variant of Psylocke. After getting my stuff signed and a brief chat with Campbell went back to my friends. It was already 12:30 so we left the line since it was out of reach. After we stepped outside the convention to go check out the food trucks, I went back inside to get in line for Marc Silvestri. The line at first took a while since Marc was talking to the fans and the people behind his table. Once it was my turn he noticed my shirt and liked it. I wore the Curleh Mustashe shirt. I went back to the McFarlane line and a funny thing happened behind me some girl accused some guy of cutting in line but they never called me out about it for some reason even though my friend was in line for me but stepped out. By the time I got in front it was only 1 item and I had my Spider-Man 13 signed. I went to charge my phone at one of the charging stations there and saw Reynaldo there as him and a buddy were streaming Aftershock on his phone. I went to look for trades and met CHOWZ there while I looked through the long boxes. After I got my books I wanted to leave already since there was nothing left to do. Only regret I had was buying the books I bought. I really wanted to get an omnibus there but didn't have enough and cheapgraphicnovels didn't accept card there. Also, not taking enough pics. I did get a pic of Toni Darling, a hot Thor cosplayer <3 with a cute Black Canary and a meh Nightwing.

I bought Essential X-Men 7-8, Essential Spider-Man 4, Essential Wolverine 1, Avengers Kang: Time and Time Again, Captain America Operation Rebirth, Fantastic Four Visionaries Walt Simonson vol 1, Incredible Hulk Visionaries by Peter David vol 2 all for 40 bucks.

I wish they had more comic book artist & writers there. I didn't get to see the Salute your Shorts or Wild and Crazy Kids panel there because of going in line to get stuff signed. Them selling the program for 10 bucks was a ripoff even though the cover was cool. It did have a preview to Iron Man by Kieron Gillen and some other comic.
  • CHOWZCHOWZ Joined: Posts: 330
I had a feeling that was you! Had to check the shirt to confirm. But yeah, you were in the zone looking for those trades! lol I did not want to distract. That's still a pretty good deal though, I think. Even if you do regret buying them. Last year, I walked away with a How to draw the marvel way book (john buscema/stan lee), some DC amalagam trades, Mcfarlane hulk/spiderman trades, some obsecure SNK/Capcom manhwa and some other books I can't remember all under the price of 30 bucks. I really REALLY regret not bringing anything to sign this year. Well, I could've looked around some more and bought stuff but I felt pretty lazy after the the long drives/lines. Its been my 2nd time seeing J.Scott Campbell from afar and I still haven't met him. Also the third time looking for jhonen vasquez, and we still could not find the guy. Hopefully i'll get another chance with them including mcfarlane at comicon if he shows up. I still had fun though even if I did go out empty handed this year. Saw alot more celebrities this time around than at ComicCon, so that was pretty cool.

This year was alot bigger, as expected. I just found out some of my coworkers and old highschool friends went and they're all about two hours away from LA so its become quite a big deal.

But anyway, see you around at nuke the fridge or frank and sons sometime.

I knew for a fact that I would be the only one wearing that since everyone was probably focused into Aftershock that day. I kinda got irritated when some fat dude came started to look while I stood there waiting for someone to clear up and look for more stuff.

I think I want to get J Scott Campbell's Marvel art book on his site and get Silvestri's Wolverine.

The next con I know is the Long Beach one but the lineup doesn't impress me. Haven't been there since the first one when they had Jim Lee there.

Yeah, this time of year is usually tough on the wallet. That's why I bought my ticket a loooong time ago. You might want to consider doing that next year. Unless you are primarily going to buy stuff, then it makes no difference.

I buy a few things, but I'm mainly there to play video games, go to panels and watch anime and once you have your ticket that stuff doesn't cost anything. I stay off the show floor as much as possible. That joint will drain your bank account and your credit card if you let it!

Here's how my first day went at New York Comic Con!

Got to play the 20 minute DmC demo at Capcom's booth, for the full 20 minutes! It's like most people say. Dante's new look isn't good, but the combat is great. I was able to pull of most of my old DMC moves on it. The newer stuff like the launch button and the Bionic Commando-esque sword that can transform into a scythe are welcome additions. The graphics are pretty amazing too. There's one part where Dante is standing in front of a wall that has a lot of graffiti, and I mean a loooot of graffiti. Kind of crazy how real it looks. Not sold on every aspect of the game, but since combat's what I care about the most I'm at least sold on the game now. Looking forward to it. I still want the old Dante back though lol!

Played Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale on the Vita and the PS3. The Vita version didn't have as many characters as the PS3 version did, so I chose Heihachi since he was in two games with Capcom characters (Namco x Capcom and SFxT) so good enough for me! They only had single player matches on the Vita. After a Sony rep showed me the controls I won my match hooray! When it was time to play the PS3 version I ran into an old friend of mine and I taught him the controls. I don't know why I did that because he beat me and two other players in a four player match D'OH! At least DmC Dante was in the PS3 build! I still want a skin for classic Dante in the game MAAAANG!!!!

Anyway I liked the game. It was a weird mix of Street Fighter and Smash Bros., definitely more Smash though.

Went to the Street Fighter 25th Anniversary panel! One funny part was at the start they had one side of the room yell "CAP," and the other side of the room yell "COM!" after they did it three times I was the ONLY idiot that yelled out "CAP!" all by himself and everyone laughed. The guy at the Capcom panel said it was cool, they like enthusiasm! Whatever I still out-Capcom-fanboyed an ENTIRE ROOM you better recognize! :P

Went through a ton announcements of stuff most of us know already (and are probably on SRK's main page right now) but one surprise was that there was going to be a new version of Street Fighter x Tekken for a FREE download! It's going to address issues like a lot of matches ending in time-outs, there's lots of rebalancing and stuff like that. The download is coming in December. It's pretty much the same thing they did with SSF4 last year.

Another surprise, well at least I wasn't aware of this is that the Vita version of SFxT will allow you to take real pictures, and then add SFxT characters to the pictures! Alright the first fool I take a picture of on their knees is getting Poison added to the pic and you know why. MWAHAHAHAHA...

When we thought the panel was over Ono surprised us by entering the room! OF COURSE he was dressed as Chun-Li HAHAHA!

He showed us a trailer done in the style of those SFxT trailers. It featured Zabel AKA Lord Raptor and Demitri and it ended with the title "Darkstalkers are not Dead!" OH SNAP DARKSTALKERS 4 WORD!!!!!!!!!!!

Well not really. Booo... LOL Ono said it was one of the things he is using to convince Capcom to greenlight Darkstalkers 4. So they announced Darkstalkers Ressurection, a DL title for PS3 and 360 that will feature parts 2 and 3. If that does well then maybe that will convince Capcom to make Darkstalkers 4?

JUST MAKE IT ALREADY I WAS NICE ABOUT DMC WASN'T I GAAAWD!

Ha well that just about wraps up my first day. Off to watch the Vice President Debate. I'm hoping I get in to the Adam West and Burt Ward panel. 60's dynamic duo IN THE HIZOOOOUSE!!!!
  • SanoSano SRKSANO on PS4 Joined: Posts: 12,972 mod
    Day 2!

Went to the show floor to pick up some of the DC variants, 2 Batman #13s and 1 Justice League #12. The other Batman issue and Justice League are for Pained Auron who asked me to pick up for him. I didn't really go for the Marvel variants because the line was super long and I'm not really a fan of AvX. I'm still much more of a Marvel fan but the Phoenix Five... O'RLY? x_X

Played some Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on the 3DS and got a FREE SHIRT! The WiiU version was way too crowded. Oh well got my swag, I'm good. Now off to the panels!

Caught a panel for the Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter DVD. What's special about the package is that it will also include an 8 minute animated short called 'The Calamity.' We saw a minute and change of the short. It looks like if Pixar was to animate From Hell, but with more detail and color. Hard to describe but now I want the DVD just for those 8 minutes. October 23rd! Same day that SFxT for the Vita drops ooh... Quick shove some Darkstalkers in there or something to get my money on day one! Ack nevermind it's Fox and I'm still waiting for them to put Lynn Kurosawa in an Alien movie. Not in a Prometheus sequel though because I'm too stupid to understand Prometheus 'Ridley-culous-ness...' :P

ADAM WEST AND BURT WARD PANEL WORD! Adam West almost didn't make it to the show because he had an accident in his house, he fell from a later. In fact he was advised not to attend but he said, "I can't let down the citizens of Gotham!" LOL!

The sweetest moment was there was a female fan dressed as Burt's Robin who said that she was really sick for a long time. She watched like every episode three times and it meant a lot to her. She also told Burt that he was just as awesome as Adam. Then she ran from the mike back to her chair just like Burt in Robin gear would. NOICE!

KAPOW HOW YOU LIKE MARVEL NOW! KAPOW!

Iron Man by Gillen will have him in a new armor every issue for the first five issues. Tony creates an armory that can whip up a new armor on the fly for any occasion.

Aaron's Thor will feature Thor throughout different generations. Issue 4 will have Thor as the king of Asgard in the future. White hair, one eye, and one arm whoa...

The first 10 issues of Captain America by Remender will focus largely on the young Steve Rogers before he became Captain America. Diary of a Wimpy Cap lol!

Waid says that the reason Hulk will be allowed to work for SHIELD is because he has leverage on them. Exactly what that is will unfold during the first year.

Even though FF is getting a new team, Franklin Richards and his kid crew will still hang around.

A woman asked for more female characters with their own books and on more teams. Alonso teased that an all girl team book is coming soon.

A guy cosplaying as Matt Murdock, glasses, cane and all gave Waid a "I AM NOT DAREDEVIL" T-shirt! Hahahaha!!!

On to the Robotech panel! ROBOTECH!

They are going to FINALLY give us Mospeada Love Live Alive! Retitled Robotech Love Live Alive, dubbed by the old New Generation cast with lots of new footage that will tie into Shadow Chronicles. And Shadow Chronicles will get a sequel called Shadow Rising! But Love Live Alive is first. Good stuff!

As for the live action movie they are STILL working on the script. Sigh...

When asked about a new Robotech video game we were told that it will probably come out whenever the live action movie arrives. So WB can find a good developer and make that merchandising $$$. KACHING!

Someone wanted to know why Robotech is currently off Netflix.com. The rep said they are looking into it. However you can still watch the entire series on YouTube, LEGALLY! Kewl!

The Capcom panel didn't offer much in the way of new info. For what it's worth the game people cheered the loudest for was DmC, no exaggeration and no lie. Again once you play it it really changes your outlook on the game so for the naysayers hold out until you play the demo.

...Or keep hating so I can get my classic Dante skin in there. :P

One thing I didn't know is that there will be cross play between the Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate game for the WiiU and the 3DS. So you can start a game on the WiiU, take it on the go with the 3DS and go back to console. Monster Hunter 24/7 oh snap!

Udon panel time! They announced a ton of art books and their next Tribute book will be for World of Warcraft.

We were told that the Street Fighter Origins: Akuma book was done. FREAKING FINALLY! It's slated for 2013. We saw some artwork, a young Akuma was fighting a bear. Joe NG's pencils looked amazing!

We saw some pages for the Super Street Fighter book that's also slated for 2013. I could see an Alex story, another one telling how Juri lost her eye, E. Honda vs. Hakan and Ibuki vs. Guy. There's a color sketch of Dudley vs. Balrog (boxer) too! Udon said the book will contain some SF3 vs. SFA character fights too. Awesome!

And that wraps up day 2! I'll probably post about Saturday and Sunday tomorrow, missing LOTS of sleep so trying to catch up tonight, but probably won't. Having a blast!

    DAY 3!

Played Marvel vs. Capcom 1 because that's the only way Capcom will give you an awesome two sided MvCO poster. I won my match, Jin and Captain Commando vs. Morrigan and Spider-Man!

For Darkstalkers you had to win a match to get the DS poster and not just play, so I won my match in Vampire Savior! SO HAPPY I was able to pull off Morrigan's Jab Jab Forward Short Fierce super on actual person while using a stick! My DS gaming has been regulated to the PSP, single player with DS Chronicles for years. Looking forward to Ressurection so I can play against others online!

HOORAY 2 WINS IN A ROW SRK IS PROUD! ^_^

And then I played Marvel Battle For Earth as Iron Man and fought against CPU Super Skrull with the Kinect for the 360 by moving my arms and legs around. I guess that's what it feels like being in the Secret Invasion storyline. Aside from being called a Skrull by like every person that frequented the SRK Comic Book Forum way back lol! Good times.

Went to the Buffy panel! They mostly talked about the comic and writing for the show until Nicholas Brendan, AKA Xander arrived for the last half hour hooray! He's my favorite character on Buffy. Really funny guy in person.

Best moment was when the panel asked the audience which character should be brought back to life in the comic. Nicholas yelled out, "XANDER'S EYE!"

If you're curious Anya won out. At the panel they said Xander's with Dawn now and bringing Anya back would complicate things at the moment. You never know about the future though.

Went to another Robotech panel where they showed a documentary of Carl Macek, the main person behind the franchise. He passed away in 2010. Like a lot of people around my age, Robotech was my introduction into anime. RIP.

The documentary is included in the Robotech Archive DVD set. You can get the entire series for like 40 bucks online. Good deal!

That guy who voiced Rand was in the documentary. Frank Caliano I think is his name. Dude sounds exactly like Rand! Can't wait to hear Rand again in Love Live Alive!

Saw the third Naruto Shippuden movie! The first time it's been shown in America HOORAY! The Blu-Ray / DVD drops in two weeks. Pretty good, EVERYBODY FIGHTS! ~_^

Before the movie ran the Viz rep told us that Shonen Jump Alpha (Shonen Jump USA went digital) is getting Rurouni Kenshin Ressurection, the NEW Kenshin manga! Hooray Sagara Sanosuke the guy I took my net name Sano from is back in the US! FUTAE NO KIWAMI!

Went to Capcom's Remember Me panel and got a FREE Remember Me shirt! We got to see a lot of the artwork, combat and a never before seen trailer on how the main character Nilin goes about changing someone's memory. The game is shaping up nicely!

Lastly I got to see the Mass Effect Paragon Lost anime movie, the first time screened in the US woot woot! Lots of death and violence along with a deeper psychological message about the casualties of war that will sneak up on you. I highly recommend checking it out!

That's it for Day 3. Day 4 post either later today or tomorrow.

    DAY 4!

Neglected to mention this earlier but on Thursday I swung by the Funimation booth. I was hoping they had the Sengoku Basara Last Party DVD for sale but no dice. They did have a free double sided poster for the movie though! Drops November 6.

Now to actually cover day 4 lol!

Went to the Spider-Man panel and found out that the upcoming Superior Spider-Man is not Peter Parker. Peter's not getting killed or anything like that since Slott said he will be dating Mary Jane again finally, but Peter's just not the 'Superior Spider-Man' is all we know.

Went to the DmC panel. They went into a big discussion along with images on how they were tasked with making a westernized / Hollywood movie-esque version of Devil May Cry.

There were some funny images where they overlapped DMC4 Gilgamesh Dante (AKA Ninja Dante) with Hollywood movie images. So they showed him with Brad Pitt from Fight Club. Then they had Dante with Forest Gump sitting on that park bench lol! Then they showed Dante with the cast of Bridesmaids! Witj that image someone from the panel yelled, "NAILED IT!"

They went through breaking down what was cool in Japan with what was cool in the west. In Japan J-pop bands have wild hair and bright clothes mostly. In the west it's much more subdued.

They also tackled what people thought wad evil back when Devil May Cry came out as opposed to now. Today a lot of people consider big corporations, the goverment, etc., things like that as evil. Really interesting.

Got to see a never before seen trailer that delves into Dante's past.

We also see a glimpse of Dante's first home, when he was part of royalty and lived with the 'Count.' In the original continuity all we ever got to see of this is two drawings not in the games, one of the throne room and another of Dante and Vergil in the same baby crib. So they are going to delve much deeper into Dante's past.

They confirmed that if there is DLC it will NOT BE ON DISC! About time Capcom lol!

With regards to the difficulty the game will have three modes, easy, normal and hard. After you finished hard mode there will be an even harder mode available.

No confirmation on Dante Must Die mode or Bloody Palace mode. They just said after you beat the game extras will be available so you can play again. What they will call those modes, if they come back wasn't stated either. Big up for vagueness lol!

Off to the Sonic and Mega Man panel! They gave us a BIG bag of Sonic and Mega Man TPBs, FOR FREE!

We got to see a few images from the Sonic and Mega Man crossover. We got to see Bass! It was also revealed that Bass will show up even before the crossover hooray!

There will be a comic for the Sonic Racing Game so Flynn will get to write a few more Sega characters!

There's going to be a special Mega Man comic for the 25th Anniversary called 'Rock of Ages' lol! That will come out after Roll's issue that drops next month.

Ian Flynn said that in the Mega Man comic it would soon turn from the year 200X to 20XX. He said that this is something only the hardcore continuity people would care about so he apologized to everyone else lol!

Another fan asked if Ian would ever write the cataclysm, IE the theory that Zero kills Mega Man, Roll, Rush, etc. and that's why they are not around in the X series. Flynn said that they are nowhere near covering that since they haven't even started Mega Man 3. Also, Inafune said that the cataclysm never happened. And while Inafune is no longer with Capcom they do try to respect his wishes. Still tackling the issue is still several years off for the comic.

Aaaand I'm out. Pictures coming in a few days. I had SO much fun! The show gets bigger and better every year! Going to get drunk and go to sleep...

A woman asked for more female characters with their own books and on more teams. Alonso teased that an all girl team book is coming soon.

Marjorie Liu pitched them that idea but she got shut down.

Edited my day 4 post slightly at the bottom with two more tidbits about the Mega Man comic I forgot to mention earlier.

I'll put up my pictures somewhere between Thursday and Saturday.

To wrap up I had a really great time. Got to go to pretty much every panel I wanted to since for once I didn't have to chose between five different panels. Which I'm sure is just luck but still.

Also it was organized a lot better this year. Wasn't that hard to do and see whatever you wanted to. So long as you showed up early for things.

What sucks is that people were charging tax, even big companies. Normally they don't charge tax at cons which is a plus for shopping there. I don't know if this is a new law, just in New York or someone is getting greedy but it blows. I still found good deals on some of the anime I picked up but could do without the tax nickel and diming me instead of just using dollars.

That's pretty much my only complaint. Ran into an old friend or two every day I was at the con which was a nice bonus for me.

I like the idea, but not the lineup. If I were in charge of such a book:

Roster: Psylocke, Silver Sable, Dust, Maria Hill, Hope

    Art: Sana Takeda

    Writer: Brubaker

As much as I like Bru I really don't think a man for Marvel should write an all female team. That has to be the very definition of three steps forward and two steps back for women in the comic industry, real and fictional.

    I like your roster though.

Admittedly, I don't pay much attention to writers. Brubaker only stands out because I loved his Captain America/Winter Soldier stuff.

Speaking of female teams - came across this on Tumblr. Lady Jane was one of my favorite Joes back in the day:

Supposedly she's in the new Joe movie that got pushed back.

I may be one of the few who loved the first for what it was - a mindless action movie w/ amazing scenes and special effects.

I liked the first G.I. Joe movie too or better put, I didn't hate it entirely. Mostly because there were several times I could see toys I used to own or wanted up there on the big screen. something that never happened during any Transformers movie, even when they were in robot form. I get that they have to transform into modern cars so they can sell new toys but geez I didn't know what I was looking at half the time. That's not the only problem with the movies but it's too bad that a lot of the nostalgia factor was gone.

Would be nice if either Transformers or G.I. Joe movies would feature the cartoon songs during the ending credits at the very least. How could they not lol so blasphemous.

I went to a comic shop in Pasadena earlier today to get a sketch from Marc Silvestri. First 25 people there got a sketch. Also Matt Hawkins was there as well as they were promoting Cyber Force. Also the artist for Think Tank Rahsan Ekedal was doing sketches as well.

I got the president of Top Cow Matt Hawkins to draw me a sketch.
