I'll drive down for stuff, seeing as I live here.
Where is this pizza place located? I could probably bring a few new players with an interest in competitive fighters too.
Whatever you decide to do let me know. I'll be more than happy to help out/ join.

No wonder it's an on-the-brink-of-death pizza place, there's like ten Mountain Mike's in Sac
If it's the Mountain Mike's I think you're talking about, I might be able to make it from Davis if you manage to hype this up enough :v

Hey man if your looking to get anywhere even near 60 people, that it's near impossible. I'd bet it the most would be around 20 with really good marketing :P.

I like the idea.
my idea was something like this:
there is a store on howe called gamer's deap games where people go to play Magic, yu gi oh, and warhammer and shit. There location has a VERY big area in the back where we could set up consoles and tv's if possible. As soon as i can get over there i will talk to the owner and see what we can possibly do. I was thinking of like a $10 venue fee to enter tourneys and $5 to enter each tourney but then again this is all in planning and nothing is set in stone yet.

Hell yeah man, it was. Shit though, i had no clue it was 7 something until i looked at the time. Didn't know i stayed for so long lol. I feel so sorry for you putting you through those sad matches for so long. Next time around i'll make sure to not make it so easy for you. ggs all around
Update: Forgot to put this up, well we didn't get around to talk to the manager at Great Escape games but from the sound of the employees it seems that we're getting this place for sure. So once we got a confirm, some plans are going to be made and tournies will be set. It's a big joint so now we are going to see if we can fill that mutha fucka up with Cali's finest. Get hype cuz this shit is gonna be huge.

I don't think there really is a scene for any of those games here in Sacramento, but there may be a few that just happen to play.

I think CVS2 would be a great choice.
In addition to the games listed in the first post, this is what I can bring to tourneys.
-Neo Geo Battle Coliseum
-Melty Blood Act Cadenza
-Fatal Fury Special/RB2
I also have a custom Sanwa for PS2 I can bring.
You guys are on your own for a TV. I've got a 14 inch, and a 300 pound big screen. I don't think either would be worth bringing.
I can get at least 4-6 A3 players up from stockton with minimal effort. Probably more if I have a couple weeks heads up.

Out of Rave's list i think Alpha 3 would most likely be the one other game to throw into the mix because i know a lot of people from Sac play this game (sac state tournies were frequent from what i heard). But our problem lies in the amount of usable t.v.s I can spot two t.v.'s while a friend of mine can bring one t.v. That's three t.v.'s that we have usable. As far as playstation 2's go i am looking at my inventory and i'm in fucked central because they're both broken @_@. But i got a ps3 i might bring if i absolutely have to. My friend has a single ps2 with controllers (but of course everyone is gonna bring their own shit of course ^_^) so that takes care of 3 t.v.'s and 3 consoles. So we got the bare minimum covered. Any support is most appreciated guys.
