Well, i'm being told that MB has a larger buffer on ps2 (12 frames), so it's probably not the input buffer that's the issue. It's probably the move interpreter.
I do agree with Chibi though, that movement in this game feels like ass at times, and you get a fuckton of accidental inputs. It's inexcusable. Which is a really big shame, because I'm having a lot of fun with this game when it's not pretending I did air DP from IAD j.d.

I'm unsure if the Arcade version of the game has the same issues (because I don't have access to it), but maybe someone should contact FK Digital and let them know how fucked up it is.

Because i'm on pad and it feels ok to me, i'm not getting dropped combos or any derp moments unlike say kof 98 or 2002

Chaos Code was the 3rd top-selling (most downloaded) game on the asian PSN for the month of december, just behind "The House of Dead 4" and "Castlevania Harmony of Despair", and bear in mind that the game was released on december 19th, so it reach the 3rd place with less than 2 weeks for selling.
