I came in late but all I heard was some black guy going on about how Capcom should put all of the 2nd Impact characters in... then after that the usual bullshit. So I stopped listening after about 10 minutes.

Okay, I'm listening to the whole thing now. I like this line
"Fuck it, I just want to see Hugo win some tournaments"
Amen. As far as the compromise, leave Top 4 alone and buff the Mid and Low tier. I think that could work. I mean, the Mid-low can compete with the upper characters for the most part, it's just Chun who's the biggest bitch (literally) to deal with. So if they buffed these guys and gave them more links, more priority, and some better supers, I could see it working out well.
I doubt this will happen. Because this is being overseen by Ono, the same guy behind nerfing Gen who was already low tier, and then made him even lower. But I remain optimistic.
Dearest Good Sirs Christiando McSkisonicson and Jaye Viscantian Snydershire,
It is 2011. We are now only three weeks away from Marvel 3. I meant to write you this a week ago because "one month away" sounds a lot more exciting.
The birth of Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is without question indescribably good news. One might say that it looks to be a new age of heroes!
However, of course as you are both no doubt already more than aware, all expectations are that it signals the lifespan of Marvel 2's incredible large active hardcore playerbase, following, and tournament scene is sadly, naturally, and finally drawing near to its end.
In these final days of the legendary Marvel 2's reign in this dynasty, to you two I have one humble request: please, please, please record the second half of your Marvel 2 history.
Well, I mean, I want it to be a humble request, okay, but the thing is that I want the thing that I'm requesting here so badly, like really REALLY badly, like even more than I want to try and be humble, so I guess it would be more appropriate to say that I have an extremely passionate and not-so-humble but still well-intentioned-and-also-very-polite request. I like to say that I'm requesting this because it sounds a lot more dignified than begging, but if we're being honest with me then I think we all know that me begging is what's going on right now. I'm requesting this from you on my knees. I figured that this was the best time, the only time, I have left to ask.
You have no idea how longly and how strongly this has been in my heart and on my mind. I've been thinking about this without rest since you did the first half in August 2009. My desire for this burns inside of me like the eternal flame of the Olympians. When I saw the 2010 Winter Olympics here in Vancouver, when I saw that torch, my eyes locked to it, and I looked deeeep into it, and I thought to myself, "THAT's how badly I want Part 2." Then I lost control of my bladder.
To give this some perspective... I am an ST player. From Canada. I feel that my life could not possibly be more further removed from Marvel 2 USA even if I was a bowl of soup in Nairobi. And I think that the story of Marvel 2 in America is objectively the most interesting, compelling, and genuinely thrilling run that any game has ever had ever. Ever.
I'm sorry, Hyper Fighting; I'm sorry, Starcraft; I'm not sorry to Halo; I'm sorry, Australian performance bee-vaulting; I'm sorry, Chinese nine-card team poker, Swedish circle memory checkers, Tuscanese one-on-one grape-swallowing highway sprint marathon, international doubles mountain full-contact wicketball; it is not any of you. It is the United States' ten year tale of Marvel vs Capcom 2.
I don't think it matters whether the recording is done on Alpha-ISM or Wakeup or wherever. Podcast, show, anything, anywhere. If you want to just shout it into a toilet then tell me where and what time and I WILL BE IN THAT TOILET.
If the two of you can in any way at all find the spare time and will of charity in your busy lively lives, pleeease bless us with this. I will hug my mom and dad about this. It would make me the happiest listener on Earth. I'm 100% sure it would make at least two to four other people that happy as well, and some of them may not even be in prison.
I think that having the two of you complete your voice-documented history of Marvel 2 would serve not only as the most dramatic and inspiring segueway into the bright, shining new era of Marvel 3, but also and more importantly as the most fittingly classic send-off, the magnum opus of all swan songs, to what is very arguably, fairly possibly, quite probably, almost certainly, absolutely definitely the most hype game that the fate of our world has ever known.
Sincerely from deadfrog,
deadfrog
P.S. The carnivores/cows/grass analogy lit up my day like a Christmas tree. Thank you so much for all the energy you've put into the community, guys.
Bunkei has revamped the website now with more updates. People should start to listen again. Yea some of the old people are gone but it's still got its moments.
Here's probably the best moment and story ever on alphaism radio.

by Bunkei on Dec.30, 2010, under Radio Announcements Yo everyone!
I?m happy to announce the return of AlphaISM Radio feat. skisonic. I?ve been inspired by the old shows (make sure you check out the ones listed below). So to that end, skisonic and I decided to do a ?reunion? show featuring some of our most memorable guests over the past 4.5 years. Here?s what we have so far confirmed:
- Skisonic (host)
- Bunkei (co-host)
- EG Justin Wong
- ChaosDunk
- Skeletor-G (oh god)
- Jaha
- inkblot (semi-confirmed)
- Keits
- MrWizard
The above list will be updated (along with a specific time and date) as we inch closer to the relaunch of AlphaISM Radio. You DON?T want to miss this one! I guarantee it!
(by Bunkei on Jan.02, 2011, under Radio Announcements) Missed AlphaISM?s New Years show? Download it here: http://www.alphaism.com/radio/alphaismradio1-1-11.mp3
I've have uploaded shows from 2k6 and have some of the 2k7 shows. You can get them " (registration is required). Most of the shows should be up. I'll get the rest of what I've got up when I can. Anyways enjoy. Lots of great laughs and good intersting insight there.

WakeUp SRK is a cool podcast and all but Alphaism is the true radio of SRK. What are the odds of you returning to regular co-hosting? 'Cause I mean like, the importance that trolling prostitutes on Craigslist has on improving people's footsies game cannot be overstated. It also seemed like a lot of the top players were a lot more relaxed on Alphaism than they are in WakeUP SRK.
Most Recent [02/08/2011] MvC2 In-Depth w/Viscant! Part 2 (Retrospective Completed!) megaupload
They thought it wouldn't be done, but I finally reprised my MvC2 history and capped it off JUST in time for MvC3. Relive the magic, or catch up on the years of hype you might've missed! Joined by Viscant and Bunkei, with DS in text form playing an invaluable role. I really liked this setup! (Please pardon the rough edits, we had a few technical difficulties early in the show which were quickly resolved.)
I miss this being the official radio show of the community. Kinda weird to describe but it just felt more homie to have Bunk and Ski + random guests doing a show for us.
ski & Viscant, thanks so much for taking the time to do this. I've learned so much from listening to this. MvC2 is one hell of a legendary game. The pioneer of Money Matches, a game synonymous with drama and best of all, it's the game with the biggest amount of hype.
I can't remember if it was mentioned in the podcast but I think the Toan vs. Fanatiq $50K MM deserves mention. The MM and the Dogface interview with Fanatiq are both on Youtube.
If the entire history of MvC2 was filmed and made into a documentary, it would be the best goddamn documentary, ever.
Oh yeah, don't fuck with Mike Watson. lol.

Any chance of getting that History of MvC 2 Part 2 uploaded again? Once I get my hands on it I will be making a hard copy. This thing is getting too rare.
