    Yay! \o/
    I've finally finished this project!

Inside is a rat's nest of wires but it contains:

    MC Cthulhu (thanks Toodles)
    Imp v.1 (thanks Toodles)
    FGW LED Controller (thanks Toodles)
    Seimitsu K-N screw-ins
    Custom acrylic inserts (thanks Art)
    KNserts (thanks Toodles)
    Sanwa JLF
Hollow Sanwa JLF shaft with LED and bubble ball top (thanks thludwig.de)
    Custom Dust washer (thanks Art)
My very first SE/TE design (puzzle fighter) printed @ Kinko's Office - Sign & Banner Dept. full lamination with added adhesive backing (not a lami-lable)

75% of this stick was finished for years, but I had a vision for the LED buttons. The old-school way of doing LEDs back then was a bit overwhelming for my soldering and electrical skills...and I kept putting it off...and then the KNserts and the FGW controller came to be! Since I wouldn't be using colored LEDs for each button as was my original plan, I wanted the plunger to be the color, but finding even just clear replacements was difficult, and transparent colored ones not even an option...until Tek-Innovations! Thanks to Art, my SE is now finished and was well worth the wait!

In addition to all the talented folks that I thanked above for their respective services/products, I also want to thank the SRK TechTalk community. This stick and every amazing stick displayed in this thread, in a way represents years of shared experience, experimentation, innovation and communication. Thanks everyone!

    Enough jibba-jabba, here's some pics:
Extremely nice work! and with an SE even...kinda blows my mind...never thought an SE could look this awesome! Also, love the dust washer!

Gotta ask: how'd you get the Seimitsu button inserts from Art? I know he was talking about them a little while back, but I never saw them being put up in his store in the product-list...

Modded my Etokki stick. All silent Sanwa parts, Akishop PS360+ PCB, and RJ45 Neutrik port. Drilling metal wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

I like it a lot more than the usual B15 ones (the Aliens gun was too kickass though). I think a lot of it is that there's often a ton of bling, especially LEDs which I just don't like much. Sticks with lighting just seem odd.

I have the great folks here at SRK to blame, cough cough. I mean thank for all the great tips and useful information. I fixed up my WWE Brawlstick with; Seimitsu PS14 KN clears, red ball top, clear dustwasher. The stock stick has been rebuilt and fine tuned and will stay in until it fails. TE70V4c.jpg

Hey guys, I'm a little bit of a newbie here, been lurking for ages, finally found a good reason to post. This is my second fight stick build, and the first one I'm really kinda proud of. I designed and built the box myself out of plywood and swamp ash. The buttons and stick are all Sanwa, and inside there's a Toodles Cthulhu board running everything. Also, as if it wasn't obvious, I'm a bit of a Guilty Gear fan. What do you all think?

Looove the abnormal shape! Nice work

Is it just printed on there? If so, you can probably just use sugar to remove it.

Balls, SRK just swallowed my post.
Finally had some time to build myself a stick. Went with solid acrylic case and this thing weighs about 8kg (woops). Black and white case with purple and teal accent. Colours are off for some reason, my digital camera is playing up.

Love the new stick, Sam. Those chunky clear acrylic sides look great with the buttons inlaid like that.

Are you still hand polishing the insides of the button holes? I've found that a rag wrapped and taped around a screwdriver bit (and doused in T-cut or similar), then put in a drill chuck saves a lot of time and blistered fingers. The rag won't last long and it's best to hand finish the piece, but it saves a lot of donkey work.
Hand polishing the insides used to absolutely fucking ruin my fingers.

Cheers mate. I didn't polish the holes on the side. I just flame polished the chamfered edges around the button holes. In future im going to paint the rebated holes to match the colour of the case so it becomes more invisible and not soo frosty. Nice idea about the rag wrapped drill. I will give it a try on the next one :)

BE and B15 don't they have a finishing kit for a Dremel? There's probably something I'm overlooking but why aren't you two just using that?

Hey peeps, long time lurker, first time poster. I've done some modifications to my previous sticks (mostly art, nothing too crazy) but this is the first time I've been truly proud of the artwork. I also changed out the buttons and what not. I'm waiting on a bubble top for my joystick but also waiting for The Link jlf shaft quick disconnect. So far so good though! Anyway, here's my stick (EightArc Fusion if anyone is interested). PzRwtBz.jpg

    ujLSlvr.jpg

    ZNNLpjn.jpg

I found that image of the weighted companion cube on nik.bot.nu I laughed really hard when I saw so that was what made me go with an Aperture design. I switched out the logo for eightarc with the aperture one too. And I'm really proud of the design around the joystick but I'm now thinking I should've made it smaller lol. Well, I've learned and when I make the next design, I'll do things a bit differently.

It was an interesting combo so I decided, why the hell not. It doesn't make any sense which makes it even better.

I've never looked for one specifically for the dremel, as I don't use one, but all the pads I've seen for drills have been flat and and bit large to be polishing the insides of 40mm (or thereabouts) holes. By wrapping a rag you can make a fairly small and rounded pad. It's a bit of a ghetto solution, but it does the trick nicely.

They are what Sam (b15sdm) uses... I was blown away with the quality of his stuff once I got my hands one them... Super solid and easy to work with. Hopefully I will finish my other B15 tonight!

Btw if you get a chance to get one of his stick/cases... DON'T hesitate lol... Well worth the money for amazing craftsmanship.

So I got my VLX diamond in and was very disappointed to find three dings in the metal! the box was perfectly fine so im guessing this came from the factory like this. Has anyone had this problem? Here are some pics.

Well, that blows. Did you get it from a random seller or a company/site?
You can try hammering it out with a rubber hammer from inside. Maybe that will help.
