I got it from a site. I emailed them for an exchange and sent them the pictures. Besides the dings, it looks amazing. I wanted the original vlx also but missed out on getting one so when this up for sale, I had to get one. Damn dings drove me crazy for about 5 minutes. I thought it was the reflection at first but then upon further inspection I realized that they were small indents in the metal. You can definitely see them in a well lit room. What sucks is now I have to send it back and wait for another one (if they are still available).

Yeah man I sat there for a minute trying to think of a way to do it without it looking hella wack. If I find some nice vinyl stickers of the eagle/snake I may slap it on later.

Finally finished my B15... had to wire it a couple times to get it the way I wanted (and a bad PCB didnt help either)

B15 case, sanwa clears, white carbon fiber (vinyl) and all the normal stuff.

I've been waiting to post here a long time. I have the standard array of TE, Namco PS1, and SE sticks, but this is the first one I've ever done anything to.

I gutted a Mayflash USB adapter and put it inside and switched out the joystick and buttons for Sanwa and Seimitsu parts.

With thanks to Art for the excellent print and cut job, and apologies for my lack of a "real" camera, here's my new main stick:

Currently waiting on Toodles to restock his TE-Kitty boards. Also, the etched name unfortunately didn't come out in the place I expected it to, so it's kinda hidden inside Fiona's bow instead of clearly visible in the dark area next to it. Oh well, something to know for next time when I do my second SOUL Edition TE (love me some Noir layout).

Came across 2 empty TE-S boxes, decided to have my electrical buddy Chowwun (KrossMods) put in a Paewang PCB and FGWidget board into it and here's my Pink Bomb TE-S Yoko Littner stick:

The bottom plate was all nasty and somewhat felt rusty so I just planted this on:

Got one more empty case, I'll probably keep the turbo panel/main PCB in the next one or use it for a custom box/plexi.

Syn has been doing AMAZING vinyl wraps for a while now... Much respect for such a great job, after messing with vinyl wraps for some car parts, I have a newfound appreciation for the skill he has :)

Finished up a quick mod just now this afternoon. Wanted to get some new art in there and been wanting a black and white themed stick for a while now. Templates done by me. Unfortunately the MadCatz PCB that I have in there has given up the ghost so it's just a pretty looking paperweight at the moment. (PCB died as soon as I went to test it, sad face. Also shameless plug, if you'd like a template made just let me know with an inbox. I do charge for 'em though. /plug)

Thank you! I really wanted to try to re-finish the wood and make it slick and clean, but I kinda like the roughed up look to it as well the more I look at it. I also thought about putting Ryuk on there as well, I think if I do a revision of it in the future (which knowing me I just might) I think instead of having just the plain wings in the background, I'll look into a silhouette of Ryuk instead, and put the Cross/Apple down a little bit, have his torso above it.

Thanks for the compliments though, I'm super happy with how it looks and can't wait to get a functioning PCB in it! At Final Round i'm bringing this in addition to my Razer stick so that I can show off my Templates and hopefully get some more business. :)

Did a major overhaul on each and every one of all my current in-use sticks.

Up first is my Intec Combat Stick. Originally modded in January 2012. I don't actually use this stick, but I use it as a testbed for new things, since it's pretty much both the cheapest and the most compact thing out there that can still take full Sanwa/Seimitsu parts.

Inside: created a new mounting plate for the PS3 PCB from the Exar Exaprize USB all-Sanwa Edition.

Inside: wired up; didn't bother with wire management/cleaning on this one. Still all MadCatz imitation Sanwa stuff from the TvC stick.

Front: same self-cut plexi from before; changed the artwork to something that'll match the colors of the TvC stick's blue/white buttons and the Sanwa blue balltop, though the shaft/dust-cover are Qanba.

Top: Here's the magic part on this one: detachable micro-USB cable.
Since there's no room for a Neutrik, I went with a smaller option. This was basically used as a test for something else that I'll be posting shortly.

So I think short of removing the Exaprize PS3-only PCB in there and putting in an PS360+, I'm pretty sure there's nothing else to do here.
I'd like to believe that I also have the best Intec Combat Stick in the world, but then again, the bar was initially set so low that it'd be a challenge to make it worse. :D

First post!

I used this site's treasure trove of information to finally take the plunge and build myself my own arcade stick. It was a rather expensive endeavor, but the finished product has truly exceeded my expectations. I modified a Hori PS2 Tekken 5 stick with a PSX Dual Shock PCB, Seimitsu LS-58, Seimitsu buttons, custom artwork, and an Art Hong 1/32 plexi. I built the stick for playing shoot 'em ups, but went with an octo gate because I also intend to use it for fighters. The Sanwa bat top is a personal preference, but I think it actually looks cooler than the smoke ball top on this particular stick. The only original parts are the cable and the case due to input lag with the Hori PCB on my converter for the original XBox. I chose to use a T5 because it was affordable, available, and I intended to modify it from the beginning. It's also black, and I love the shape & heft of the earlier HRAPs.

As you can see, the art is Darius-themed. I photoshopped the artwork using a cool painting of Jupiter's clouds from deviantart, pictures of a Silver Hawk garage kit, and the logos of course. It took some time (especially the rocket exhaust), but it came out awesome. I worked up a version with King Fossil in the button area, but it covered up too much of the background painting and made it too busy. Darius is not my favorite shmup (that would be DoDonPachi or Mushihimesama), but the Silver Hawk is my favorite ship design, and I am a sucker for the psychedelic backgrounds and whacked out Zuntata soundtracks of the series. I also wanted to do something out of the ordinary since it was a substantial investment of time and money.

(Sorry there's no shot of the internals. I forgot and didn't want to take it apart again!)

Like how it looks, huge fan of the T5 shells myself, still sad that I had to sell off the ones that I owned a couple years back. I also like the Bat Top too.
