Hey, I'll be moving to just outside Columbus this Saturday, never lived close to a bigger city. I'd just love to know if things are still going. I checked the facebook page but it just says closed. Let me know, I have a monitor/speakers that I could bring since I know those are typically in short supply.

Good games to Jad and Ven in Bomberman and Tetris tonight. Pretty good matches for a fight night where I didn't play any fighting games. Next week, I want to use a TV in the Smash section to hook up my SNES. I'll be down for Panel de Pon (Tetris Attack,) Super Puyo Puyo 2, Super Tetris 2 & Bombliss, TMNT Tournament Fighters, Super Variable Geo, and whatever else you want me to bring out of my SNES collection. Of course, I don't get there until about 9 or 10 typically, but I stay until midnight.
Edit: Also, Summer Games Done Quick starts this afternoon and runs until Tuesday morning. Josh the Funkdoc is running a few NES games on Friday afternoon starting at 1:20pm.

So is the "game night is on Tuesday the first week of the month" thing still a thing? I was just in there a couple minutes ago and there was no one there and the door to the basement was locked. Workers said we were on the schedule for tomorrow.

Because nobody posted this on SRK, I should let you know that game night at Donatos is no longer on Wednesday nights because another group has booked Wednesdays. This week's fight night is tonight (Monday) and we still need to decide on a new night for fight night, likely Tuesdays.

So no real interest in sf4?
I'm kinda surprised to still have nothing with the weekly gathering being tonight.
Again, feel free to pm me if you see this and play sf4. I can definitely provide a setup for the donatos gatherings and spar on xbl.
As Game Night gets bigger there are a couple unfortunate things I've noticed. I'm sure others have some observations as well.
1) Some people aren't cleaning up after themselves. This has always been an issue, but with more and more people showing up the problem is compounding itself. It's not hard. If you just thrown away your plate, cup, or box when you're done with it there won't be garbage laying all over the place come midnight. It tends to be left to the same handful of people to clean up everything, every week.
The same would apply to chairs and cords as well. We don't have to put the chairs up on the tables but too many times people leave with chairs strewn all over the place or arranged in semi circles around the end of a table. If everyone puts back the chair their sitting on at the end of the night or rolls up the power cord if they're the last one to use it then there'll hardly be any extra work required for clean up.
2) People need to stop bringing in outside food. You'd think this would be without saying but over the last few months I've observed people bringing in donuts, pizza from home, bubble tea, falafel, soy milk, large bags of chips, an entire meal from a Chinese restaurant , 2 liter bottles of soda, and a block of cheese complete with container and cheese knife.
We aren't being charged a venue fee to use Donatos' basement but they are, first and foremost, a restaurant. No restaurant wants outside food brought in and buying food from them is how we support the arrangement. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but hasn't CFG lost a venue in the past due to people bringing in outside food and drink?
In any case, those are a couple things I've noticed and they seem to be getting worse.

This place still going strong? Looking for locals around Cinci area. I know of Arcade Legacy but it would be cool to make it out to Columbus too!
