#1 wave dashing is only for kaz, Hehachi , & Jin?

    # 2 how do you wave dash?

#3 i see pro players move back , forth, sidestepping fast, how do they do it?

Secound this, managed to get down my top 10 moves, my throw breaks and my juggle/wall/parry combos down with Feng, but I'm still having trouble with movement. I know the Mishima's have always uses WD more, but is it important for other characters? And how to do it right would be good :lovin:

whats the deal with the glowy hands? Like with Bob, if you press all 4 buttons at once he does some swishy shit, then his fists are glowing yellow.. whats up with that?

That's a ki charge. It makes your first attack have counter properties. I don't know Bob's moves so I can't give you a good example with him, so I'll use Julia's 4~2,1. The 1 follow up is only safe to do when you hit with the low attack and miss with the high(which requires exact distance), or you CH the first attack. Using ki charge you can just do 4~2 afterwards, and if it hits it will always be a counter allowing you to follow with 1 for free.

It takes a second to charge up though and it only last for about 4 seconds, and you can't block while it lasts. The best way to set it up is usually to get a knockdown or wallsplat first before the charge, and force a mid/low mixup when they tech roll. Some people have different ways to get into the charge other than 1+2+3+4 though, as some attacks can cancel into them.

    1-2. Let's backdash easily

    The backdash command is b,b,db.
    b,b,db, b,b,db, b,b,db, b,b,db, b,b,db...

However, this doesn't work as efficiently as possible. The reason is simple: if you do b,b,db continuously, your hand hurts and it is difficult to do quickly. The important note is that backdash command is b,b,db but the method to continuously backdash is not b,b,db, b,b,db.

This is very easy to compensate for.
    b,b,db, b,b,db, b,b,db is not the solution; b,b,db,b, b,db,b, b,db,b, b,db,b .. is it.
When you look closely, it's the same exact command. However, the spacing between the input makes it more comfortable for your hand.

Assume b,b,db,b, b,db,b is how you backdash.
First set of commands is b,b,db,b (insert joystick reference here)
then, b,db,b (insert another joystick reference)
finally, we continuously do b,db,b, b,db,b, b,db,b, b,db,b, b,db,b... repeat (insert joystick reference here)
By doing it this way, we relieve unnecessary stress on our hand and are able to backdash faster.

This will probably help you quite a bit.
Being the only person to follow the rules, and then getting mocked relentlessly by my peers for it... that's the kind of shit that creates supervillans.

Why isn't WGF and EWGF up on that list yet? I've been wondering what the hell they stood for and what they were for like the past two weeks.

This is the definition off Urban Dictionary:
Acronym for Electric Wind God Fist. In Tekken 5, it is the controller f, d, df + button or f, n, df + button.

The button must be pressed within two frames of pressing df, making this a difficult maneuver to do. You know you've done it right, because characters who can do it (Kazuya, Jin, Heihachi) will say something (Kaz, "Dorya!" Jin and Heihachi grunt). You will also know because there is more electricity flowing around your character than with a WGF (Wind God Fist).

Furthermore, you have the frame advantage even if your opponent blocks, since it pushes them away from you, and you recover while they are still in blocking animation.

Did you see that guy? He just did EWGF 14 times!

Those were good shit, I even learned something about launcher reset's, the gears in my mind is turning about conditioning people to tech roll for fear of a launcher and then eating a tech trap.

O.K., so I know that might not be the newest discovery, but I just started playing DR this year. soit's new to me.

ya like... we watched all of em. we were gonna fix mistakes but there's way too many to even go through so we just stopped like 1 minute into part 2. could be better if more time was spent checking facts. it seemed like everything was done in one take too. antonio would be more than happy to help consult for the next one... for the right price. just stop spreading info that is not true and incorrect... and stop guessing. My favorite part is when they are trying to reversal the tackle and like rip couldn't do it so they're just like ummm. ON TO THE NEXT SUBJECT. and the other one was like when they said something you can get 3 maybe 4 hits on the wall, and antonio was like... have you seen a combo video. Bruce gets like 7.. steve gets like... 10. The production was really good but i think they need some consulting from an old school player that really understands the ins and outs of the game and not just think that they do. You might know how to beat people but when it comes time to explain stuff, and you have like 2000 people who have watched your video that's seriously bad news, because they are going to think that they know and then they tell other people the wrong information.

and just how oldschool is this antonio c? honestly never heard of the dude, not to down play his skill in anyway but has ever won a major? and who is to say the dudes making the vid aren't oldschool?

you could have checked the comments but they were neg bombarded, some of the comments were just flat out deleted too i think. it is one thing to debate theories but being flat out wrong about FACTS is something entirely different. I'm done messing with it.

I've been refering people to the video still because most of the info is correct and it's good for beginners but it would be like if you were in kindergarten and your teacher told you

    1+1=2
    2+2=4
    4+4=7
    7+7=14
    14+14=... I can't figure this out...well whatever!

honestly, I hope you're right cuz you're hyping up this Antonio C to be a Tekken god. I mean the "thomas edison of Tekken"? really? Did he ever place at EVO? considering Heihachi wasn't banned at EVO and they played Tekken 5.0 he should have wrecked everyone, right? jus saying, hope HE can back up YOUR talk.

IMO, someone from Cali is taking this

He's not been to evo AFAIK but been to nats 3 times.. going on 4. And has won several majors over the years so ya... And if they happen to not face each other in the tournament cuz I know RIP will be in it since he won the exhibition... which frankly i thought was awesome because I'm a pad player as well... so he's entered into the finals automatically. And if they happen to not face off in the tournament top 8 or whatever, MMs against Rip and MYK will definitely be going down.

Like I've said, these guys know how to beat people, that is a cold hard fact that they are the top players in the country, but when it comes to the DEEP ins and outs of this game there's still some things that they still need to learn. Of course NOW it looks bad because several comments were deleted on the videos so it looks like we just kinda went in there and commented but a lot of it were rebuttals to comments that were posted. Anyway I'm done talking about this because actions speak louder than words, and after this I think you'll have a very different opinion on the matter. Egos are going to get crushed and I'm looking forward to it after viewing the disrespectful attitude that the WC has shown over the past year or so... first it was SF now it's going to be T6. :)

If you posted your corrections to SRK or TZ they would not be deleted. Why you would come out and criticize a video for not teaching beginners the system of the game correctly...but then fail to actually help the community yourself by posting the correction?

How can you come down so hard on those tutorial videos yet refuse to offer concrete evidence of what is wrong with those videos? If you are so knowledgeable in T6BR then why not help everyone out and tell us what is wrong in those videos?

The defense of 'they deleted my YouTube comments' is juvenile. You have a forum here where your comments will not be deleted. So why not use it?

YouTube comments are limited to a few hundred characters anyways. It's not like you could have typed that much. Why don't you step up for everyone who is a beginner and put people on the right track? We have the people who made the video posting in this thread saying that they'll make corrections. So post those corrections, and if they are right, I'm sure everyone here at SRK or TZ or wherever will back you up.

    http://www.tekkenzaibatsu.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=3891631#post3891631

    In short:

    Tech Roll:
-wins against: linear ground attacks(such as stomps)
-loses against: Tech traps, tech mixups(gotta guess), cross ups
-advice: This is the most common type of wake up, but you will at least always have to guess when tech rolling next to someone. Most useful after getting hit with something that knocks you back.

    Back Roll:
-wins against: linear ground attacks, tech setups and traps(will whiff more than likely)
-loses against: up close mids(will re-float you allowing another juggle)
-advice: The most dangerous type of wakeup, since you can get rejuggled for free. Do if mostly after attacks that have auto backroll properties.

    Kip Tech:
-wins against: may go over lows with good timing, may interrupt mids if fast enough
-loses against: whiff(leaves you open for launchers)
-advice: This is most useful if used rarely and if the opponent is spaced out from you a bit, since it tends to interrupt alot of attacks on startup. Its safe on block and gives a small advantage on hit.

    Kip up Attack:b+3+4
    -wins against: lows(hops over them)
-loses against: blocking, SW, mids during the beginning frames.
-advice: This is really hard to beat during it's active frames as it's range would stuff almost everything, but it's at least -10 on block. It's also sidewalkable. There are different versions of this depending of the character that are safer or they rise differently(this info is for the basic Kip up Attack).

    Diving Attack:f+1+2_b,f+1+2
-wins against: most attacks done at the same time
    -loses against: SW
-advice: Diving attacks are mostly for repositioning purposes after a knockdown and as a (poor) mixup after a forward or backroll. If you make them block the attack late in the animation you will get advantage, but if not it's punishable. It's hard to counter after the move comes out, but the fact that you have to forward or back roll first to use it puts you at a huge risk.

    Ankle Kick:d+4 when FUFT
    -wins against: highs, most mids
    -loses against: blocking, SS, hopkicks
-advice: This is the fastest attack you have to wakeup with, but on block you will get punished(possibly launched). You're even on hit though and you can wake up safely.

    Mid kick:
-wins against: low crouch, slow attacks
    -loses against: whiff, block
-advice:around -12 on block. You will get launched on whiff. Knocks down.

    Low kick:
    -wins against: highs, most mids
    -loses against: whiff, block, hopkicks
-advice: Allows juggle on CH. Around -12 on block. You will get launched on whiff lol.

In general just be real cafeful about get up kicking. You won't get terribly hurt on block. but you will lose 40% on whiff.

    Standing up:
-wins against: Non guaranteed oki(stomps, etc)
-loses against: certain attacks will cause juggle state.
-advice: This is one of the safest options that you have since it can avoid alot of oki options and allow you to block a direction after standing, but you can get juggled with attacks during certain frames of the standing. Plus it hard for you to switch your block in reaction to an attack until you completely recover. Lets say, if you stand up and Julia is spacing you with 4~2,1 and you hold d/b to block it during the animation, if she swiches to f,f+3 you won't be able to block it if they time it right IIRC.

*make sure to tap 2 during quickstand to recover quicker*

    Lay down:
-wins against: attempted tech traps, refloats, etc.
    -loses against: grounded attacks
-advice: This is the safest option you have to wake up in Tekken. While you do open yourself to strong ground attacks like stomps, you aren't at risk to eat anything more damaging and you can usually tech roll safely afterwards. If they whiff something then just quickstand.

    Side Roll
-wins against: most ground attacks if done early
    -loses against: Bad guessing
-advice: This is also another safe way to get up(although slower), especially when you're near the wall. The bad thing is that after the roll you end up in a worse defensive position(I think you end up face down if you were face up before), so if you guess wrong and they see the roll, then can oki you and make it generally harder to get up.

I might have gotten some of that stuff a little wrong, but that should get you going imo.

    LFS - Left flamingo stance
    RFS - Right flamingo stance

there's a few common moves between the flamingo stances but they're mostly different.
