I mained Bang in CT but now I feel like my gimmicks won't work cause he is top tier and the tricks are well known now.
I'm trying to main Mu and finished all her challenges but I still feel like I'm not good with her. Like I don't have a gameplan going in and just try to get 6C counter hits. Even though that move is so unsafe that it comes out by accident a lot when I dash and try to do a combo.

Figured I'd drop in and say Makoto is up on XBL right now, as well as the patch to update for her. (If you buy her, it's the same file.)
The file is something like 84 or so megs. 560 points, unlocks her, her 12 base colors, her 12 additional colors, and her challenge and strat mode stuff.
I never knew she had a Parry. Hmmm. And a CROSS COUNTA outta parry by pressing D. Fun stuff.
Anywho, just figured I'd mention it, incase it gets pulled off Live or something for showing up early...

sick, I'm checking on that right naow!
EDIT: Got her. She's pretty cool and so far the challenges aren't too bad (I'm on 7). I like her style and didn't know she was a charging char, the different damages thing I mean. I'll do the other challenges a little later.

What do you mean by charge character? Does she charge up like Tsubaki? Does Arcsys have many characters in their games with charge inputs? May from Guilty Gear and Freed from Battle Fantasia, are the only ones I can think. I wonder if Platinum or Valkenhayn will have charge inputs.
TheDarkPhoenix, post: 3508043 wrote:
she can charge up the power of her D attacks by hold down the button slightly longer. There are 3 lvls the timing is strict tho.

I am really not liking this new character.
Does anyone play Jin? I noticed alot of his bnb's start with a 6c but how does Jin actually land a 6c in a real match besides counter hit? Right now it feels like Jin is reliant on counter hits for damage.

I may be entirely wrong because I haven't got the chance to play Makoto yet, but from the vids I watched today she seems like Tsubaki minus the need to stand around charging, plus a useful super.

Stuck on Makoto challenge 9.I cant get the second charged punch to connect. Pressing D immediately after 214B it doesn't come out so I have to delay it. But its only connected maybe once or twice.
Also unlimited Makoto is Dudley.A+B is acorn throw. She gets his taunt counter, machine gun blow which takes one primer if blocked, rush upper and her 100 DD is rolling thunder. She also gets 3S Makoto's Abare Tosonami(sp?) super. She loses her mixup teleports though but she isn't tournament legal so its fine.
Machinegun blow, Abare Tosonami,236236D combos for I think 8-9k. I can't get the last super to hit but talking with a friend he got it to land.

Don't know if this is in the Makoto trials, but you can combo a juggled 5cc into a lvl 3 2d as long as it is near the first of the combo (and the combo doesn't start with A attacks).
So, for her throws you can do:
b+c, 214a~a, 5cc, 2d (lvl 3), dash, 5cc, hj cc, j cc, 623c, d (lvl 3)
4b+c, 2b, 5cc, 2d (lvl 3), dash, 5cc, hj cc, j cc, 623c, d (lvl 3)
The second combo should work with an airthrow too.
The timing is difficult though. The 2d has to be in first of the lvl 3 section or it will whiff.
It would also work if you landed a random (or comboed) 623c, rapid cancel, 5cc, 2d (lvl 3), etc.

This game frustrates me to no end, half this shit just makes no sense to me. All I can do half way worth a shit is tech out of stuff.

I'm getting a little bored of the game myself. Probably just worn out after playing too much but does anyone feel like the community for this game sucks? Just can't put my finger on it but it doesn't have the same experience as other fighters, even the original Blaz.
Spooty Whiteboy, post: 3508063 wrote:
The biggest issue this game has is that it has been out for months. People have been playing the pirated PC version and have already tired themselves of the game, and now that the console version is out they see now reason to buy it.

Online population for this game has been about the same as BB:CT's was when I last played that a few weeks ago, which is to say not very big at all. Hopefully it'll pick up some, but theoretically it should be doing a lot better so soon after release...

Well, I've also known some people, me included, who've been sort of avoiding online play for the moment, people doing arcade and story for stuff.. and people intimidated.. I know my few matches online have been a bit.. lopsided, and that can scare some people off for a while.

I don't care about getting owned as that's the way to get better. It may just be me but I keep getting jerks who quit if they lose once, close the room, or boot me (when I haven't even played yet). And I keep seeing the same people make lobbies, where's everyone else at?

Has anyone else been getting poor connections online ? I haven't seen anything higher than 0 bar games. Things were never this bad in CT.
