Just finished Zelda. The final boss was way too easy. It was still a cool battle though but it is just super easy lol. I wasn't even close to dying.

    EDIT:

Also thought I read you could still explore and due stuff after you beat Ganon, but I assumed it was in the same world with him not in the castle - guess that isn't the case?
Ganon is mad easy when you do the Divine Beasts, completely avoiding the boss gauntlet and cleaving half of Calamity Ganon's HP.

The final battle with Dark Beast Ganon is a joke, no matter what you do.

There is no new game+, but several enemies get upgraded to silver status, such as all the blue maned Lynels. Storywise, nothing changes at all.

But what, do you have to start a new game without all of your stuff to see the upgraded enemies? I thought you'd be able to go back into the world with all of the evil stuff gone and explore that way, and like go walk through the clean castle and stuff. But the only recent saved game I have is right before I fought Ganon.

no. the game lets you keep exploring as if you didn't beat ganon. but i guess you get to see silver enemies now.

theres nothing like a new game +. the game just doesn't overwrite your save file so you play from right before you beat ganon. leave hyrule castle and then explore around.

I've been pretty productive over the past few days. Took down the Yiga clan leader, got my third Divine Beast. Thunder Blight Ganon was a pain and I encountered Molduga. I talked to the lady in Gerudo Town to initiate the side quest for Molduga but that was about a week ago and I'd forgotten about it. On my way to the Yiga hideout I saw Molduga's life bar appear and was shocked to see Molduga was freaking huge. I went through so many arrows fighting that thing.

First time running into Mulduga made me think about Tremors. Apparently I took it down unconventionally since I waited till it lept in to the air to attack me and then blew it out of the air with a bomb arrow. Wife told me I didn't even need to do all that and could just go fishing with the regular round blue bomb.

Oh man. I cannot believe I didn't realize sooner that that BOTW lets us live the dream of riding on trees like Tao Papai.

Went into Hyrule Castle to get one of the Royal Guard weapons to complete a side quest. Ran into a Blue Lynel and took him down without getting hit using the Master Sword and food that gave me high level attack up. Usually I go for defense on Lynels but this is the first time I ever evaded every one of his attacks. Flurry rush all day, baby!

Oh and I'll just leave this here.

    Holy shit
Was that Island/Challenge/Shrine is a pain

Talk about being on Naked and Afraid...

And not being able to save on that Island

Took me for ever to take out the Hinox with Zero Suit Link
During the fight I though I can get the Hinox with a lightning bolt
Could not get the metal sword close enough, I stood on this cliff where the Hinox can't reach me
He just threw rocks and missed each time, I threw bombs at him

Eventually I killed the sucker and cleared the Quest.

Any Hinox is a piece of cake to beat if you have beaten the Beast that gives you the lightning strike. I just use that 3x to kill any Hinox.

I finished Eventide Island a few nights ago. Place is definitely more managable with more hearts and the right help. When I was going for the last orb, I was slowly picking off Bokoblins with my bow. One had a Lizalfos Boomerang and was sitting there chilling with it during a thunderstorm. I love it when the weather does my job for me.

I decided to finally cave in and use the map that comes with the game's guidebook I have hanging on my wall that I bought just as a decoration to find the last shrine I've spent days searching for and it turned out it was the one in a certain place named after a certain camera-shy hint-giver from Link's Awakening.
It REALLY bugs me that I somehow overlooked a place named after such a memorable NPC out of all possible places.

Finally fought a Silver Lynel. Woo those suckers HURT! But by the time I fought second one, I had his attacks down. Blocked on time, dodge to get those flurry rushes. Oh and thank God for the Hylian Shield. That thing can stand up to a freaking nuclear blast!

I've been seeing folks sporting the Barbarian armor and I finally started finding the shrines that contain the pieces. I didn't know it gave you attack up.

I also found out there is Rubber armor, which makes you immune to thunder storms! Want!

Unless it's a perk for wearing the entire armor set, the immunity to thunder comes from a different trinket
(it should be obvious which one it is if you've done Vah Naboris)

right now im working on beating calamity ganon with only one divine beast. i got revallis gale because it's super useful for getting around.

its a little difficult, mostly because if you die you have a lot of work to do to get back to c.ganon.

Well i sort of have it that way, i enter the sanctum.
If you don't finish the divine beasts you have to fight every boss back to back. in my case since i did one of them, i have to fight 3 bosses then ganon, and any death means you gotta restart. I don't think you can save during the actual boss battle
    about vah naboris:

When he does that one attack, you can just count his little movements prior to the actual attack. count to 3 then do a back flip and you will likely never take damage. i agree hes the hardest boss though

More on my experiences with vah naboris
Like I got to the last from of that Thunderblight boss fight, easy enough to figure that Magnesis trick in his "3rd" form out
Got Thunderblight HP to a single pixel, and then the bastard kills me as I was careless with my hearts.

Keep in mind I pretty much Marathon the first two divine Beasts. After that Death it was time for me to take a break and stop playing for a bit.
No a Rage quit, it was I was just tired at that point.

I though I could sail though Vah Naboris like I did with Vah Ruta. Hardest thing about Vah Ruta is dealing with the Lynel for the arrows. I actually tried fighting him first.
Nope, my armor and weapons isn't good enough yet.

I did score all the pieces of the Rubber Armor, they are pretty easy to get a hold of if you know where to look. Although it's not really needed for the fight.
I also managed to save up enough to buy up all the pieces of the Male Gerudo Armor

So last night I'm exploring so new snowy region I've never been in before and I lay waste to a Moblin camp of six black Moblins and one white Lizalfos. I decided to use the fire they had going to pass the time because I didn't feel like dealing with any night time monsters. I sit until morning. BLOOD MOON CUT SCENE! I'm like "Is this game for real?" When morning comes, Link is sitting in the middle of six, SIX Black Bokoblins. Looking back on it, it was pretty funny.

Blood moon cut scenes are fricking annoying as it often resets the scene.

so i beat the game with the following:
    one Divine beast
13 hearts (cryptic way of saying i had a certain item so i don't spoil anything)
    and the hylian shield.

next, i will go from the great plateau directly to Ganon. as long as you know how to dodge stuff he isn't too bad. the guy hits hard though

Randomly found out that if you're wearing metal equipment and you're about to be hit by lightning, if you stand near a tree, lightning won't hit you. The sparks that come off your gear will stop and the lightning will strike away from you.

It's those touches that make this game so amazing. Enemies aren't the dumb ones from years past. They try to get sneaky or play dirty when they can.

i just wish the enemy ai used its smarts a little more instead of rushing in. i see very smart stuff every once in a while but a lot of times the game doesn't like to use it.

hopefully hard mode will have ai that legitimately wants to beat you

So I looked it up but I finally found the final Great Fairy Fountain. No wonder I couldn't find it initially.
Gerudo Desert is where it is located and you have to head into a sand storm.
She definitely has the best upgrade animation.

two separate play throughs and no idea why i should care about them. i just used the one in kakariko but tbh i almost never need to upgrade anything

With that attitude, why have anything that's collectible and upgradeable in the game?

Why have the dragons, or the Lost Woods, or the Master Sword even, since there are several weapons that outclass it...

There's multiple locations because their upgrades get exponentially better with each one you find. If you don't feel armor upgrades are worth it, then there's no point for you to even look for them anyway.

i play zelda games because i enjoy logic puzzles and exploring worlds.

i almost always avoid upgrades that dont do anything other than stat boost.

the lost woods is an experience that hits me at my core. that music combined with the atmosphere is basically heaven to me. hyrule as a whole is a place id want to be in

I understand. I know I got a reputation for being an asshole(some deserved, some not), but I can respect that position.

You don't care about numbers and defense, since skill can offset any numerical disadvantage- As someone who fights tooth and nail with the "competitive" Pokemon community about exactly that philosophy, I definitely see where you're coming from.

I like being able to move faster at night with my ninja sheikah armor. I used to have a personal default look for Link if I didn't need specific clothes ('default link for me: Hylian Hood, rock climber shirt and hylian trousers). Now since you get speed boost at night I'm mostly running around as a ninja.

I still gotta find 1 more great fairy, I'll find it eventually. Been combing through areaa with gaps trying to look for shrines as I make my way super slowly towards Death Mountain.
