The goal is to make it old school feel make more weapons and martial arts environment while keeping the establish current plots.

Who is Goma?

Goutetsu's Identical twin brother that originated and appeared in Street Fighter Assassins Fist Movie.

I find Goma to be interesting as plot making SF somewhat retro martial art inspired again by taking some inspiration to the persona of MK's Sub Zero a man that takes mantle of his deceased twin brother but pretends a Goutetsu that will haunt Gouken, Gen, Oro, Zeku, Dhalsim and Akuma in the shadows just like the presence of Dio Brando in JBA's Stardust Crusaders.

While making Goma's goal not the likes of world domination, worthy battle to death or another SNH, youth and immortality that has been with the other known character. Making his motivation not revolve into taking personally Akuma but having a vengeful quest of purifying a some kind of ki practice that he believes to be the cause of corruption and exposure to evil that lead his twin brother Goutetsu to ill fated tragedy.

This vengeful thoughts would lead Goma into isolation for a very long time to surpass and overcome the known possible threats in every confrontation. He would latter become a martial artist that master of what he believes* to be purified Ansatsuken that denied any sort of connection to the Hadou projection and ki manifestation. Goma's better focus and discipline gave him a refined stronger versions of the retained and favorable Ansatsuken Techniques such a Shoryuken, Joudan Sokutogeri and Tatsumaki Senpuu Kyaku along with the advance ki nullifying techniques like Gouken's MU.

Besides his newly assumed enhance Ansatsuken Techniques, He is also a master of armed combat that he wields a steel quarter staff to successful project some of the expertise of his twin brother. Making him different perspective of a Ryu that is motivated by hate to SNH or an Akuma and Bison with an opposite ideals with towards power. While having some sort of a Dhalsim and Gouken but more on resistance towards potential.

Goma would latter invade the hidden village of Geki's Clan then challenge their clan heads to take the rightful lead. The Geki's Clan new objectives under his lead would be somehow similar to Taki's Clan from Soul Calibur the FU-MA Ninja Clan. He would turn and brainwash the clan ideals and creed into a fascist and naturalist devoted vigilantes and mercenaries to his vengeful vow to oppress and suppress everyone that is expose into some sort of ki practice to be the source of evil and corruption of mankind.

I like him to have a leadership persona a japanese like Ra's al Ghul from Dark Knight movies with a League of Assassins, Silver Samurai, Black Panter or like Daredevil in Shadowland Saga. I would like to give clarity to the disappearance of Fuka (Gouken's daughter/niece) making her like a Talia being under the Clan's custody and protection. Goma would even latter recruit Eagle, Rolento, Adon and Sodom to form his elite henchmen that had mastery in armed combat. While Retsu and Lee would deny the invitation involvement because of disgust from fascist points of view.

This idea and concept would make the likes of Shadaloo and Secret Society not interested and concerned of his existence while underestimating the capabilities the reformed Geki's Clan. Believing that he is just a nuisance because they would assumed that his ways are obsolete and inferior to their ways. Since Shadaloo and Secret society their plot revolves into mystic, cloning, mutation and technology. I find it somehow unhealthy and destructive to a canon to make another long existing bigger and better organization unexplored and unknown to the previous existing like Shadaloo and Secret Society unlike SIN which is formed from Shadaloo resources.

    For season two..

    Main plot idea.

    I prefer it to be a far away prelude
    I don't want it to be so much revealing
    I don't want it to give conclusion into Shadaloo and to season one
    They should make Fang and Vega missing, presumed dead and have unknown whereabouts.

    Begins with Guile fighting NPC Shadaloo Troopers. Guile would be destroying and raiding the last speculated* Shadaloo base in US. Guile would fought Balrog but would be salvage by Ed. As the base soon to collapse... Balrog and Ed manages to escape but both are presumed deceased. Guile is then contacted by US government about assassination ploy. As the base soon to collapse... Balrog and Ed manages to escape but both are presumed deceased. Guile is then contacted by US government about assassination ploy. Guile and Chunli had been successful to acquire a believe* fragile research data or facility machinery from former Shadaloo bases.

    Chun li visiting Gen in the care of Lee and the twins. Chunli is seen taking Li-Fen away from the Lee Residence then being contacted by interpol. Juri tries to attacked the Lee residence but confronts by Gen and the match is interrupted by Viper that soon fights Juri then interrupted by Chun li and Cammy both Viper and Juri leaved the Lee residence after finding out Li Fen is not their anymore.

    The main plot the Secret Society is taking over the government secretly using Twelve and Eleven clones posing and replacing government officials and ambassadors. With assassination and frame up ploy that would mistaken someone in the street fighter universe and that be turned into a fugitive(not Cammy again). The best would be Abel and make him confront Alex which is hunting him for the bounty. Alex is recruited by Guile because of a former military recommendation.

    Zangief is contacted by Russian government to help and participate because of Effie that is identified as a Russian nationality is found in the scene. Effie is taken custody by Guile after losing her consciousness from rampaging the inside of the former Shadaloo Base in the US. She was freed from brainwashing by Dhalsim. She latter speaks with Guile that they are up against an unnamed organization that is headed by a very tall man that uses electricity and not the defunct Shadaloo. Dhalsim confirms her honesty that also prove the innocence of Blanka.

    Abel is now a fugitive on the loose being framed on a fail assassination attempt and from breaking into a former Shadaloo Base in the US by one of the twelve clones. while Blanka is imprisoned by the US government for suspicion of involvement from an attack inside the former US secured Shadaloo Base in a previous events which is cause by Necro. Abel is in the custody and protected by the Delta Red and Cammy.

    Secret Society goal to get a top secret information or have a control in a certain part of a government that they would benefit in research and expansion. Necali takes opportunity and takes advantage of weakened Necro but save by joint forces of Dhalsim, Chunli and Guile. Then Alex confronted Necali alone and beat him. That would be interesting part for Alex showing up later beating the twelve clones and winning against the escape rampaging Necro and then to take down Necali that would fascinate Gill towards Alex. Dhalsim calmed Necro from emotion trauma and brainwashing.

    Encounters and Rivalry

    Abel and Guile, Abel and Viper, Abel and Juri, Alex and Abel, Juri and Viper, Viper and Cammy, Juri and Chunli, Blanka and Guile, Blanka and Zangief, Necro and Blanka, Necro and Guile, Necro and Zangief, Necro vs Alex, Necro and Dhalsim. Alex and Necali.

    Twelve posing like other fighters like Nash, Bison and Vega in confrontation.

    Interesting if encounter if would appear La lupa and Mike Haggar.

    The Side Story:

    Ryu and Ken would return and pay a visit to their master's (Gouken) dojo to seek guidance then would separate afterwards. Then were back in a scene with Ken is speaking to the his phone saying he doesn't know where Ryu is then proceed to spar together with Sean while Laura and a guy named Tom watches in gym, while Ryu would set into a journey to confront and face once again Sagat.

    NPC Fighters: Gouken, Retsu and Sean.

    Interesting encounter if would appear Sodom and Rufus

    CGI Characters Gouken, Gouken's daughter/niece and Retsu.

    Vacation Scene:

    Rashid, Asam, Karin, Ibuki, Birdie and Mika is spending a vacation and chit chatting with the judgement girls.

    NPC Fighters: Hinata, Natsu and Tiffany

    CGI Judgement Girls, Asam and Na gare.

    Ending Scene:

    Fang is seen in a laboratory watching Balrog and Ed flee from a destroyed Shadaloo laboratory.
    Balrog and Ed is unaware of Fang existence.
    Fang didn't notice appearance of Q in the scene.
    Fang is later confront by Vega...

    Then they both stop they were having a conversation as if Bison and Shadaloo had never been destroyed. The Fang and Vega scene doesn't reveal anything about the existence and defeat Bison.

    The scene fades into black and back in the vacation scene.

    Then back into the vacation scene where

    Rashid and Asam is talking with Guile, Chunli and Cammy in a laptop about the woman who named Helen and the one she calls master Urien.

    While the others are listening then all of as sudden.. Karin is later interrupted by a call from Sakura asking about Ryu.

    Fixing Akuma plot holes and bringing back the badass in Akuma
    let's bring back the mystery and shadowy feel of Akuma in model design.

    Storyline and Plot

    Does only need to be a mysterious fighter that will challenge the worthy and strong. No need for huge plot interactions that would complicate this Character in the future.

    Raging Demon/Shun Goku Satsu Plot Holes

    How to fix Shun Goku Satsu re-interpretion in newer games by turning it to Akuma's personal misunderstanding or confusion. It is simple by using the first person point of view from an Ansatsuken student that betrayed his own master. Advantage is also from that we have no structured foundation and understanding about the nature Satsu no hadou. Since everything started with a Ryu then with the Zero/Alpha prequels and the lack of Gouken in the past Sf to explain the capabilities and limitation of Shun Goku Satsu is to be shrouded by mysteries the same with Gouken and Gouki. it doesn't need to elaborate itself in the later or become a main source of conflict and objective for future SF games on wards the timeline. Just don't ever make a prequel based on Goutetsu that reveal a lot of Satsu no Hadou and Shun Goku Satsu like. Good stuff in Assassins Fist and Alpha Generation anime is that they didn't elaborate and justify everything related to Satsu no Hadou. It's just known to be forbidden, dangerous and destructive that's all.

    Despite we all know that Bison is capable of doing a Dr. Doom body hoping and soul invasion techniques without knowing it's true limitations, potentials and possibilities. That makes it another interesting way to downplay or overplay what has been thought and known.

    We know that dictator is dependent so much with Psycho Power is a good twist, Like something I posted in the thread earlier, for Akuma to have wrong expectation towards Satsu no Hadou. It's not to change the scene but to having a new perspective of an event behind the previous established scene not destroying it's like a plot twist in the movie or manga. Since Satsu no hadou is thought by Goutetsu and Akuma expand it by self study not from a guidance of another master that is has expertise on its nature. In that part he would find himself lacking and betrayed by his power. This even gives a thought that Goutetsu cared about Akuma and not about stopping him the becoming strongest, Some powers in many stories isn't really about being strongest among all powers created in a fictional universe but because its nature is unknown to many and can bring danger that's why it is feared not because it was the ultimate power of that universe, This gives new probabilities of other potential threat powers undiscovered.

    As of now I don't care how the Shun Goku Satsu being toned in the SF Universe rather than making it an AUTO WIN or a deus ex machina solution for many as making him almost the most powerful character in the series that only Gill, Gen or Gouken ka nulify, I feel its more interesting that Akuma fails his expectation from the path of thinking that being the strongest that is no other way than the Satsu no Hadou, that he could just Shun Goku Satsu everyone and that why he needs to learn new techniques like "Kongou Kokuretsu Zan" and to know he isn't what he thought would be or he was and Satsu no Hadou was by then realizing their's something more on Ryu's path and new achievements, new discoveries, new disciplines, new master beyond his understanding that their is one path and its his way.

    Seeing himself like the dictator that once he despise by being dependent/slave of his shadows. (SSF2Trevival ending)

    Akuma normal mode shadow/fog shaded face like Dio in Bandai game. This would brings back that nostalgic feel of spectator and mysterious into Akuma.

    RE-CONCEPTUALIZED SHADOW LADY!!


    Remake her with Nano tech symbiotic suit that can be shape into a weapon would fit her better than the current said interpretation

    Imagine Shadow lady turned in to a Chunli with Symbiotic Nano Machine from Shadaloo, A tech suit that shapes/form into various weapons. That's how I imagined and recreate a perfect remake of SHADOW LADY. The CFN profile just made her a robot stuff kinda the usual thing.

    Fused with SF cartoon's La-lupa, Fox's Spiderman Unlimited and Venom concept.

    FINAL FIGHT SEQUEL/EXPANSION- Gameplay can be multiplayer or single player with or without a CPU operated character like Resident Evil 5. Third person perspective roaming in a fictional metro city. The game isn't about ammo and less inventory management, no too much driving cars and with very less guns or fire power.

    Main Character to would be: from selection that can be played or be a CPU helper.

The trauma causes him to forget his past and been tricked by the Mad Gear by putting the blame in a different people and saying it was Haggar negligence and focusing to her daughter safety that lead the security of metro city citizens into chaos. The Mad Gear( J ) was able to trick him by noticing that he had only fragments of memories. He was good in knives and guns because of being a former army.

    I'll rather see Philippe from Final Fight 2 than the rest of them along with Death..

    Philippe is an interesting henchman for Death he can play and act like Fatal Fury's White along with Injustice's Joker combined. Chaotic personality is another lacking in SF universe. I'm not talking about the Karate Clown concept in SF4 that is drawn by Seth Killian, Because it's not about being a clown with martial arts but rather a clown that is representing chaos.

    Kabuki, Clown, Mu Thai, Drunken Master, Bruce lee clone, Sodom, Crusader/Azrael(batman), Cyborg and Abobo(Steriods)... together with some decent weapon users in future SF is what i need..



    So my Final Fight Villain line up. for a What if SF x Final fight or a Final Fight Expansion

    An Aura- to answer blocking of weapons and sharp objects from gameplay and storywise to every street fighter characters.

    I believe this should have been done by every Fighting Game from the very beginning of their plots other than weapon based FG that used weapon also to block. I believe many are still concerned until now with weapons and sharp objects in SF in a logical perspective.

    I have been always wanting an aura to serve as plot device to justify and ORGANIZE things that's already there by using it's a naming calling to answer why people in this fictional universe(SF) can block with bare hands against sharp objects and weapons without piercing and wounding the body. It's like the thought of others why can't they used Phoenix Down on Aeris death on FF7.

    I believe this is the great opportunity to progress this idea to be implemented correctly story-wise and gameplay-wise to fix a lot of plot holes in a single term that is Muscle Power by making it essential, universal and natural concept of a plot device to everyone else.

    Muscle power will logically also covers everyone from the likes of Balrog, Honda, Blanka and even Dan to have some sort of muscle power but for blocking and defending not as better than how Zangief and Hugo manifest. I hope it isn't a Zangief exclusive and pioneered or a brand new thing is a meh direction.

    With an aura having it's own laws and possibilities solely made to explain and cover why a street fighter is able to block with bare hands any body piercing objects will be now rationally accepted and applicable as their reality from both gameplay-wise and story-wise perspective.

    It's like how are mind is conditioned to accept that Peter Pan and the lost boys can fly in Neverland because of good memories.
    Even Ryu had never been pierce by bullets in some media. The same would explain why Chunli throws the gun in A3 Bison confrontation or That would also deal in how the street fighters handle the likes of Vega/Claw in a logically sense perspective.

There was a time during SF4 pre-announcement in Capcom BBS, I was suggesting to make there blocking animation to dodge when fighting Vega/claw.

    How I wished Capcom would make an alternate universe of SF consist of alternate what if characters clashing to each other. A place that is from a dystopian era that is free for cyberpunk, steampunk, viking, knights, ninja and pirates mash in a universe that is accepted to be bizarre and no need to compromised to any interpretation of realism totally other than those themes. This would give Capcom more creative freedom like Killer Instinct, Blazblue, Guilty Gear and MK.

    I remember enjoying a Mugen in a SF theme as Special Operations, Something like JoJo Bizzare's Steel Ball Run and fanmade Dragonball Multiverse... An alternate reality based SF instead of a far future SF, Imagine an SF game in a parallel universe with a likeness of Killer Instinct and Mortal Kombat. Set in a Cyberpunk and Dystopian environment theme where mystics, cyborgs, pirates, mutants and gods can exist. Everyone has a slight similarity and difference from their mainstream counter parts.

    Where there is a war between Shadaloo Industries and to unnamed organization that is know as Secret Society. Were gangs like Mad Gear, Ninja Clans, Special Elite Enforcers and Bounty hunters trouble the streets of Metro City.

    Haggar

    Haggar isn't like Decapre, Juli and Juni to Cammy and Haggar isn't like Ken, Sakura and Akuma to Ryu. Why? How?

    1.) Keep in Mind:
    Haggar vs Zangief -(Haggar does play differently from normals and other special) the only common distinction between the two is the pile drive and spinning clothesline, This are only 2 moves similar including normals, supers and special, while other true clone characters have more than 3 similarities from each other.
    2.) Because of THIS:
    We have seen a lot of forms of Haggar in a Fighting game that has more difference from each other from Slammasters, FF Revenge, UMVC3 and etc, while Gief having more exposure in fighting games had only very very few variant from each other. In-fact Haggar had richer interpretation of versions and ideas than Gief that is likely to stay that way and play that way.
    • Haggar in SFV has a wide range of inspiration for normals and specials from his previous iteration from other games.
    • We had seen him have his many different variant of grappling moves in the past than Gief, that includes the pile driver. That is often used as a relativity argument to justify him to be another clone which makes it not.
    • Haggar's Lariat can be different from Gief, It can be not as a special move but rather as a vTrigger that makes him have grey life
    • Another interesting thought/idea is to make Haggar in SFV be the representation of every Slammaster fellows in CWA by incorporating their specials mix to his own own unique specials. That can lead into his personal character growth and to show experienced through the years.
    • Having those Ideas makes him totally more flexible and ambiguous in move-set than Gief and other grapplers. So he has more Design-Space than other existing grapplers in SF universe.
    • Haggar can be Capcom's Icon of grapplers even beyond CWA characters by importing some from Colossus in COTA and Victor in VSav.
    • Capcom can let Haggar's nature of imitating be his strength along with experienced, while Gief stays the same to symbolize mastery and focus compare to Haggar. This make them both have edge to each other in a different way.



    Here is some example of possibilities that I did for Haggar before and probably Capcom can do more!

    Haggar and Sodom storyline to avoid conflicts- First it never need to discuss about the event conclusion on final fight while mad gear is just known as a a gang that is assumed to be long gone. That it's were SFA3 and SF4 left everything. ]No need to discuss and elaborate of those that is nowhere in the game like Cody, Guy and Etc .What about Jessica? Doesn't need to discuss about her love life. She is just the daughter and everything that is focus is the current events of SFV. Best known example are in SF5 and SF4 we don't even discuss much about the family related stuffs with Guile, Dhalsim and even the Delta Red the only considered family of Cammy isn't really discuss or elaborate other than third party materials and references that is nowhere found information within the game.

    -SODOM-
    Mad gear gang has been dissolve for a long time ago they spread throughout the world. This time around Sodom is part of underground illegal wrestling and street fights matches after being long gone and away from Metro City. He simply have no concerns of news and updates about what the others. Making him unaware of the fate and whereabouts his former gang mates the same with the likes of Haggar. There he would be only known as a mysterious shogun fighter with confusing and unknown history. Could be encountered by the likes of Balrog, Ken, Alex, Birdie and Laura.

    -HAGGAR-
    The likes on Alex situation in story mode, making him just local friend who owns a gym or referred by someone in america. He would be someone that will inspire and teach the new generation of fighters. Probably the likes of Alex, Laura, Sean and Mika? His legendary status as retire city hero was known to the like of Ken, Karin, Azam, Nash, Tom and Gief. He may also encounter the likes of Birdie for being confused or mistaken to be someone he used to be involve with the Mad Gear.

    SAVING THE MAYOR


    UMVC3 did separate him from normals like the steel pipe and hard hitting drop kick but Haggar is still labeled as a clone because of the two famed special moves in FG history. The Pile Driver and Lariat is common definition and references used against him for being just another Gief.
    Goals : How to re-Invent him to be not anymore another Zangief and play far away from traditional existing grapplers in SFV, While keeping his nostalgic feel intact and not thrown away.

    Solutions: is to remove this two moves as regular special moves make them exclusive and irregular move like Ryu's Shin Shoryuken and Shinkuu Tatsumaki Kyaku. Then take influences from hard hitting brawler and unconventional play style characters like of Colossus of Xmen Cota, Geese, Antonov, Daimon and Krauser from KOF.

    A grappler in plot and origins but plays without a special command throw other than a single EX. This is my take to recreate a Capcom grappler to a non-capcom traditional grappler converted with unconventional gameplay style but keeping his nostalgic reference. He never had any debut in an SF fighter unlike the other Final Fight cast. I hope Capcom would consider him someday in a SF fighter.

    V-Skill :

    Dig/Find/ (MP+MK) - Haggar will do a quick crouch/duck that can dodge an attack then hit/slams/pound the ground for a random power up(can be nothing) to appear for 3 seconds anywhere in the ground of the stage within the perspective of both players, Haggar need to walk through the item to get the buff effect.

    Turkey- Adds 5% of Full Stamina
    Whiskey- Adds 5% of Full VGauge
    Vitamin- Empties/Resets Stun Gauge
    Dollar - Adds 5% of Full EXGauge
    Knife - Throw able Item by pressing whatever attack button, Can pass through any energy based projectile.

    The Knife usage is a references based on his debut in original Final Fight that he could only throw the knife.

    V-Reversal : Haggar's Lariat

    V-Trigger: Rage/Heat Up Super Slam/Super Throw - nostalgic reference from his Ring of Destruction version that pushes him to play rush down like in his retro wrestling and beat em up appearances.

    Haggar turns Red during activation and Haggar's HP(Pipe) becomes a completely unblockable punch. That If this punch connects with the opponent, Haggar will initiates a Pile Driver. Up to 3 Pile Drivers. Works even in Jump State. This will also gave him immunity to stun status and dizzy effects because of freezing/pause his stun gauge.

    V-Trigger: (Alternative Concept) non-install works like Nash's Teleport's by making Haggar Lariat as a COMBO BREAKER - Haggar will do a keep away version Spinning Clothesline that is invulnerable to specials and normals attacks. Can be used to cancel any of your special(non throw) or normals attacks. It's not a multi-hitting/comboable move like gief but does a big damage in the initial hit then knocks away your opponent to the other side of the screen like Ryu's HK Tatsu.

    New Special Moves exclusive from other Haggar counterparts:

    1.) Violent Axe - Appeared in UMVC3 and Ring of Destruction. Works closely to UMVC3 counterpart.

    Violent Axe EX version ends with two fist holding launcher that juggles.

    2.) Rapid Fire Fist (Special Move Version)- from UMVC3 works similar way to KOF's Takuma Special Move.

    Rapid Fire Fist EX version is Haggar's Special Lariat - Haggar will do a keep away version Spinning Clothesline that is invulnerable to specials and normals attacks. Can be used to tech-hit normal throws with proper timing and also to cancel any of your special(non throw) or normals attacks. It's not a multi-hitting/comboable move like gief but does a big damage in the initial hit then knocks away your opponent to the other side of the screen like Ryu's HK Tatsu.

    The move will never go with the decrease life version because it doesn't feel street fighter and there are other variants that doesn't cost a life drain. I made it as an EX move not just for personal preference to make it stand out to Gief that lacks an EX version. This would even separate him from Eagle's Manchester Black and Necro's Tornado Hook from usefulness and purpose.

    When talking about Spinning Lariat many would refer to both capcom characters(Haggar and Gief) to each other because of their fame but in fact it has many variants used in many FG with different properties some notable decent reference would be Wolfang Krauser's Hurricane Fist from SNK's Fatal Fury Real Bout that would be an interesting alternative though.

    3.) Body Slam - from Might Final Fight. A full body leap attack.

    4.) Gorilla Press/Wrestling Throw - (base from Slam Master and Final Fight 3) is now a counter move like Geese Howard's Atemi Nage for upper attacks. Weaker buttons for quicker version but less active frames and stronger buttons for longer active frames.

    The EX version would be finished by an Izuna Drop and never proceeds to Pile Driver. This is a nostalgic reference and loosely base from his Super Move(Final Hammer?) in Final Fight 3.

    Normals:
    Many would referred him nowadays based from his famed UMVC3 version a parody of his debut in Final Fight. The Pipe as HP and other normals in UMVC3 are already good references but there are a lot more obscure reference that can translate him better like Xmen's Cota's Colossus where he could borrow decent normals and some animation stuff.

    Since Colossus have strong similarities/likeness to his Ring of Destruction and Final Fight 3 counterpart from physiques, specials and normals if Haggar would be translated to Alpha/Zero style.

    Far HP would be an overhead like Hugo's sHP is. What is unique though is this would case a hard knockdown like a sweep does. ~15F-17F startup damage ~90-100. Unsafe on block and very easily focused.

    D+MK in mid air would cause a short hop similar to Deejay's.

    Body splash, performed just like Zangiefs and pretty much identical to Zangief's

    Elbow Drop performed with F+HP on the ground would be an overhead leap attack that could reuse C. Viper's overhead animation or Cody's FJ HP or so many other examples lol. It'd function very similar to Viper's overhead though slower speed and more damage.

    Ok, normals are out of the way so now we can get to more interesting stuff: SPECIALS!
    Starting with his most iconic move the spinning lariat (that Zangief was inspired to copy!)

    The lariat would be similar and yet different than Zangief's. First off he would only have ONE version of Lariat. It would be about the speed of Zangief's quick lariat in terms of total frame count. Lariat itself would have a fairly quick startup ~4-5F just like Gief's 4F lariat. However beyond that things are different. Haggar's lariat would be unable to move at all (unlike Giefs). Haggar's lariat however would be fully invincible on startup and most of the active frames (~18F invincibility or so). However lariat would cause Haggar to lose ~50-70 health each time it's used. Regardless if it hits or not. In addition, rather than launching the opponent upwards like Zangief's lariat, haggars would throw the opponent more horizontal meaning it wouldn't give as good of positioning for Haggar. Damage would be ~160 on first part then drop to 130 later (reverse of Zangief's which gets more damage on later frames.) it would also break armor.

    Violent Ax would be a launcher type move that throws the opponent into the air on hit allowing haggar to combo into his sky-high back drop.
    EX Version would do an additional swing before launching them. Causing more damage and corner carry.

    His sky-high backdrop (AKA Izuna drop). This could also be used separately in a similar fashion as Hugo's back breaker though not as far reaching.
    EX Version would have invincibility. This move would also function similar to Rose's soul throw in that when the opponent is in a juggle state it becomes a strike attack, otherwise it is a throw.

    Running arm bar. Haggar would run forward a short distance before performing a clothsline. If the move hits then it knocks the opponent down and Haggar immediately corpse hops during the stopping of the clothes line this switching sides. It would be an armor breaker. It'd be kind of like Balrog's dash punches in that the startup is variable based on the distance of the opponent. However it wouldn't be particularly fast traveling. Though it would require a back charge (sort of like Abel's shoulder tackle in SFxT) this would also be partially upper body invincible to strikes.
    EX Version would have a hit of armor

    Alternately Haggar could use kicks instead of punches and do the same running animation but instead of doing a clothesline he does a drop kick once he gets in range. This would not break armor and it would be considered airborne + lower body strike invincible.

    Haggar pauses for a brief moment then does a quick lunge forward. If he hits you then he goes into a choke hold state this would be a strike attack NOT a throw (Think of: Ibuki's Raida):

    While in this state Haggar is able to walk around for a very short time and has several options.
    1. Every couple of steps Haggar will attempt a headbutt (up to 3x max).

    This would actually require you to press a punch button (any punch) at precisely the correct frame window to have the headbutt connect you screw up and the opponent gets out of the choke hold. (Think: Nina's grab move in SFxT where she has do the button press at correct times.)
    When the 3rd headbutt connects the opponent is knocked down in a quick risable knockdown state right nearby Haggar.
    2. Haggar can hit Back+any kick and Haggar will do a suplex dropping the opponent right next to Haggar in an untechable knockdown as well as switching sides with Haggar (useful for putting opponent into the corner!)

    3. Haggar can do Forward + Any Kick and haggar will perform a back breaker and throw the opponent off his shoulders ahead of himself a short distance.

    Haggar can also perform his flying pile driver which would function similar to Zangief's SPD though lower damage. However depending on the last input for the FPD Haggar will change his jump! Rather than always jumping straight up like Thawk/Gief he can actually choose to either do a jump forward / neutral / backwards by performing the 360 and ending the final input on either Up+Forward/UP/UP+Back. This gives him some additional corner carry potential though he still does a rebound leap like Gief/Hawk that leaves him fairly far from the opponent. However say your back is to the corner you can do the FPD backwards and you'll end up right next to the opponent just like when Gief does his flying suplex. If you are close to the opponents corner you can push them into the corner by doing a UP+Forward final input.

    His pipe would be used in his focus attack and one of his ultras. Perhaps he could also have his leaping pipe as an attack as well.

    Haggar would play as more of a brawler + grappler just like he did in Final Fight and in Slam Masters. One thing to remember is that Haggar is in fact NOT as big as Zangief (Gief is 7ft while Haggar is 6'7). So Haggar would be a faster character.

    Okay I like how spidey plays and thank goodness his moves wasn't mess up with possible horrible design choices.

    I'm not into Spidey Lvl 3 seems something missing because it was reference to Spidey movie. Overall not bad just average but they could have done something better like they did with Cap. The new Cap super was a very good job!

    I like the new drum moves yet there is a few videos I didn't see him do the lariat. If only he could pile driver the drum toward the opponent that would be more fun... I imagined dead rising DLC super the haggar cosplay pile driver a rocket towards enemies to make him different from Gief in a more varied aspect.

    A Shadow Falls/Story Mode suggestions, reactions and opinions

    Cinematic Mode in SFV with a different ending and route to Akuma
    Other Fix on Akuma using SFV.

    The impression of Akuma will never change even after Capcom making Gen a sacrificial lamb to make him menacing and ruthless than ever, that is even if Akuma would rip Gouken and then destroy Sagat in front of Ryu , It will still make no sense to redeem is previous status quo.

    Why??? because he is now like a child that is immature, proving something himself to Ryu as an authority is shitty, What makes him interesting before was him was having "no attachment" while it's Ryu that after him not him centering his betterment to Ryu. Ryu isn't the ultimate fighter that exist anymore in SF universe beating Ryu makes no sense.

    I bet Capcom would either go an easy way just sacrificing more characters to Akuma yet it doesn't redeem his qualities and former glory.

    Here my take on this:

    1.) Make another "what if or an alternative cinematic mode" with conditions that is needed to be completed in specific early stage of ASF before reaching beginning the chapter/Act 3 which is about and starting of the second Shadaloo base raid. By having met the condition is subsequently alter the matches by matches and sequences to a very different route rather than the ordinary.

    2.) Just make another new cinematic mode or add this as a preview in the course of the ending of any possible version of an arcade mode or an extra battle mode which is a lazy quick fix way.

    Had the 5 iconic world warrior gather against a new improved Bison for another time which is a better body than ASF restored by Fang then have them fall like the Kanzuki's ninja again and again.. even they come out of strategies by working effective together something like SFV trailer is played out that is evryone at once against Bison)....then latter make Akuma appear and destroy Bison's new body with an SGS in a very glorious cinematic version that let's people see Bison manage to counter and dodge few attacks of Akuma even it's in a very tremendous speed.

    After defeating Bison with then make him belittle Akuma and then the rest that fights him with very few words while they are facing his back on a higher ground then fades in to darkness... then proceeds the Shadaloo base to fall and crumble then Ryu protects Chun li with hadouken from the debris then so on and so fort like the usual.

    Why a make Bison manage to counter some SGS attacks? To make him look powerful too in a different sense and proving that there is no demon consuming souls on SGS.

    Who are the 5 iconic world warriors? Anyone from the likes of Ryu, Nash, Dhalsim, Zangief, Ken, Chun li, Guile and Cammy fight dictator all at once.. or simply just like how SFV trailer was.

    Yet, Capcom so I won't be surprised if they do instead sacrificing Sagat or both Sagat and Gouken to justify Akuma again which won't still bring back his former glory.


    I'm not good in script writing with dialogues and conversation like doctrinedark does and the same with re-telling with limited stuff, mostly agree with everyone had said and pointed out earlier for the costume stuff.

    Things that should be Remove: - What should have been happened instead.
    1. No Kanzuki Ninjas vs Bison - Why because I think that should have been the part where Ken, Cammy and Chun li tried to fight Bison but instead remove because it's like Bison retreating and out numbered or Bison just waiting for the black moon be completed.
      • How did the Kanzuki Ninja managed to sneak in to go directly to Bison easily than the likes of Ibuki and Karin?
      • I suspect that scene was remove and re-written that should have been where Ken, Cammy and Chun li tried to fight Bison.
    2. No Fang hanging scene that made his poison cause him to fall - that guy(fang) is pressing computers and holding objects with his hand how come he didn't have control on it. Marz speech should have been finished not on that situation.
    3. No Phantom Bison or hologram vs Nash - instead make it a flashback battle that is he is trying to recall or remember the battle.
    4. No Fang vs Chun li - instead add a scene like Fangs hand popping up from falling debris.



    It I would given a chance to expand and add a scene.
    1. Make Byron disagree and disapprove - Guile wishes to used the military to infiltrate to Shadaloo base, This made Guile to find and ask some other help to other martial artist. To make Byron model somehow important and had sense while it also answer why Guile isn't having a military with him.
    2. Make Guile the lead of operation - to raid Shadaloo and then make Karin someone generous to offer her some help and resources.
    3. Make Charlie, Guile and Abel conversation together make sense - I know a lot had point this out already in the past.
    4. Ryu vs Necali. Had almost similar thoughts with Cestus but it should be in the before the Bison match and took place in final Shadaloo Raid along with Dhalsim make Dhalsim defeated and Ryu to beat Necali finally instead of the rooftop of Kanzuki Mansion.
    5. Let Dhalsim guide Ryu - to the location of Bison in the Shadaloo base where the Final Battle in the Shadaloo Raid will occur. Where Bison and Ryu fights to finish the Job.
    6. Make the black moons be completed - then later stop by Rashid using a the secret command to abort.
    7. Make Guile first to reach and had a match with Bison -then had Bison win it, then latter interupted by Cammy , Ken, Chun li, that makes him retreats towards to complete his Black moon device or machine something where he is followed by Nash. Like the SFV intro.
    8. No Hadouken Protections from debris instead make Dhalsim teleport the child or do that kind of stuff not Ryu.

    I never bothered for capcom not retelling their origins and plots especially the original world warriors since they kinda feel redundant from other previous media that can even damage the established identities and persona unless the purpose was to alter something about them.

    I never liked Karin taking lead to the world warriors because of being pissed off, I like Guile being the lead that Karin would be the asking favor and help out of Guile, Ken and Chun li. While still under her was those mercenaries and body guards that she hired.

    As for the final fight with Bison, to bad they didn't put a powered up boss bison to be beaten with, I disliked Guile not doing anything when Ryu is facing Bison alone the same time Chun-li is dealing with Fang.

    I prefer making Chunli facing Vega/Claw instead to protect the girl than Claw/Vega just leaving the scene while Guile is facing Bison but never had done better the same as Nash did so it basically makes Ryu not someone better among the rest but rather helped Guile and the one to finished the started fight of Nash! if they want Fang badly to be known to survived they should just let it see into the credits for example climbing over or walking toward Bison's cap in the end credits,

    The girl hacker should have been just someone that is special that can access the power to provide the moons making her relevant and greater than any other grown up person with intelligence or education.

    Never liked the lack of interactivity of Nash, Abel and Guile even in a casual place like Karin's Mansion, Not even liking Nash death and frankenstein design liked, I liked Nash more than Guile since the Alpha series especially now after special move updates but his death was meant to happen anyways.

    Everything I like was from Rashid, Juri, Urien and Gill not having his expectation of the prophecy to happen, because it kinda lessen his personality like what makes the many expected him in SF3. As for Necali I like the way he is mysterious didn't bothered much knowing his origin but the absence Ryu's training was the true let down for Necali because it looks like he was easily beaten when we all know he was supposed to be beaten by Ryu but supposed to be in a greater advancement and training of Ryu. Because even we high expectation for him we all know that he is basically just a substitute for Akuma for at least the time frame or filler rival of Ryu before SF3 timeline to happen.
    The final battle feels like staged, The SFV trailer in fact did better like many had mentions earlier in this thread because that fight includes Cammy and Ken that gives more edge to both Nash and Bison at the same time.

    They are up against a madman like Bison that is extreme powerful it isn't a tournament or something just a personal that people trying to prove to each other, There mission was to save the world in a limited time so the personal agenda should be Nash alone in that moment not to Guile and the rest of the cast.

    Chun li to stay besides Li fen is fine she needs to rest is after saving Li fen from Fang. While the rest seems meh.

    Nash death seems tuesday to Guile and Nash return seems tuesday to Abel.

    Bison deserve more than a Ryu realization power-up.

    It's like the Ties that Bind that were everyone just watch Ryu being beat to death by an unknown and strange shadaloo guy(Seth) with a huge yin and yang in the belly that seems invincible. As if they treat Ryu and Seth(unknown guy) have something to prove to each other or settle a score.

    Unlike something in SF2AM and Sf2V that is about the combined efforts of Ryu and Ken. It's not the power of friendship, realization and it doesn't even need a power-up. The same with SF4 Juri movie when Guile, Chun li and Cammy.

    Even in SFZero animation were everyone take fight seriously against Rosanov and Sadler. It's like they are really fighting a Madman or a Monster.

    Ryu ain't the Goku of street fighter universe that usually the best of his planet that fought a lot of invaders in the past.. so the confidence of the many to him against those monster and madman shouldn't be like how every Z warriors thinks with Goku. Ryu isn't even close to Superman in what the Justice League expect to him.

    I just missed those days when fights are more than a battle of principles and preferences. Not a fight that seems staged that everyone would choose to just watch, gather and wait for their turn or wait for the power-up to happen that lacks the feeling of danger and terror. IMHO





    Another one that seems the fight ain't serious like Ken is trying to prove something and Akuma seems to be someone trying so hard to convince and sellout himself to be a better martial artist than Gouken. This new trends of watching, proving or waiting for a turn kinda is meh and staged. IMHO

    Even 90's DBZ and YuYu hakusho tournament that is a one on one match-up is interfered by a fellow team member to distract the big baddie or to see where the weakness of the seem invincible opponent is. That turns the next battle in a different climatic phase in a more reasonable and emotional way to reach a sort of power-up and not just a personal thing.

    Same with Jotaro's Big baddie fights in Stardust and Diamond is unbreakable needs intervention and done with the right transition.

    The story should have make him survive and been an anti hero his one of the most sleek characters in his Alpha days. I dislike his revenge and suicide thing but I 'm okay not him beating Bison. His death wasn't even something that makes the transition of the next battle to be interesting dramatic and uplifting climatic moment.

    After his death it should have been a Guile moment or spotlight after to take part and fight Bison but meh they go straight to Ryu. I prefer them the last part as Ryu to be late then helping/assisting Guile or Guile fighting Bison toe to toe while Ryu give a finishing blow. Dealing with multiple characters at once makes Bison more powerful. They could even add Dhalsim to mix. Having each character arriving in a different time makes it not something that is staged and expected.

    I really like how A3 did with Bison and E.Ryu against Sagat, Ken and Sakura) that shows them how ahead they are even being defeated because they didn't defeat them by overpowering or being greater them. The big baddies is just outnumbered and confused by multiple instances that's the same with the Viper with SF4 Aftermath.

    There are several ideas I have read in this thread about Charlie from what if returning and I believe the consciousness and awareness back-up that cause transference to a clone or his real body is the best deal for smooth return he deserve. Like Superior Spiderman and Superior Doc Oct saga in the Marvel.

    I hope in that state he is fully much moved on away from Shadaloo. In his return he should be now aware with his previous mistake and errors that not everything is about risk and determination while focusing with the Secret Society but with caution not relentlessness.
    I understood Laura and Alex the way their participation, it's reasonable for them because they are new to the presence of others. 

    The thing is everything that we have been knew about Guile way back from Sf2 and Alpha, that he is about Nash since the first we have known Guile in the beginning and everything that we known Bison is about Chun li and Guile the whole time along.

    The Chun li part is what it would really goes because of Li Fen and it needs to be like that after beating Fang. But everything that is Guile and Nash is underwhelming and failure the same with Abel.

    Honestly as a Ryu fan wouldn't mind Guile beating Bison and it doesn't matter if it was Ryu delivering the final blow or not. The battle should have been more of a combined efforts not a staged set for a one on one and I'll take my turn after you thing.

    The only thing kinda acceptable was Necali like I always believe is just a filler character and a substitution for very minor role as a plot device that just him unlike FANG that have huge possibilities and has more flexibility beyond SFV.
    Agree we audience were conditioned to accept his death in ASF and his individual story mode from Kolin and Ed. Capcom should at least done better after the Nash death into a phase that is climatic and dramatic with Guile or with other veterans not just a Ryu climax and power-up event.
    Agree Ryu is conditioned and prepared to us to beat Bison but there is no such emotional transition that justify Nash death, Guile didn't had that part and fight the death of Nash is acceptable to him but it should not be the same with Bison and the fate of the world.

    He should had worked along with Ryu. The tarot divination giving the future possibilities by using symbolism through card arrangement isn't set in to stone unlike prophecies. Possibilities can be 3 like that from I knew that correspond in the certain action you or other does to find results. It just give you a more wider perspective to know other forces beyond your control that would intervene your preference.

    Divination can either make people oppressive, protective and manipulative to others to justify the results of their priorities and preferences. It an always make someone depress and hopeless depending how a person think and deal with the result he gets from the divination.

    So that why Rose would rather guide Ryu and isn't confident unlike Gill. We all know the Rose's foreshadowing of Bison demise in the hand of Ryu was her own knowledge. I know A3 Nash event was erase but after seeing Nash sacrifice didn't even scratch Bison or remove his hat.

    So why is Guile confident with this Ryu? when the knowledge was just Rose awareness alone. Combined efforts was the right transition after Nash's death and Ryu could always deliver the final blow. They are dealing with a Madman with the fate of the world at stake and he just saw in front of him the guy that is better than him that thought him which is already empowered and sacrificed everything but Bison's Hat didn't even separate from Bison. That guy that just dies there was his long time friend that all the plot of him from against Shadaloo revolves and about that guy.

    The thing is always think that this fictional characters didn't have the same amount of awareness and perspective like we do and expect. Thinking like we are Rose, Guile, Bison or etc without the third perspective would make things more realistic and right not staged without biases.

    and another thing SF is not just HNK alone that should based entirely story telling.

    It's about Guile, Nash and the rest of the cast, it's not a Ryu issue alone.

    It's about emotional transition and emotional responses on events. Even HNK had it's dramatic sacrifices and deaths that had proper emotion transition, reaction and responses to those events that fits the character plot.

    What I am pointing out is those people in the scene should act or feel like friends or even people and not audience or background props/backdrop that are just the worst acting of being a 2D dimensional fictional character other than cheering and screaming without any logical limitation but choose to stayed that way. This make the feels of the battle being staged not being truthful to each character with plot in that event/situation.


    Not realism dude but good story writing, transition and characterization.

    Ryu and Ken with "combined efforts" with the right emotional responses against Bison in both SF2V and SF2AM.

    This isn't the story of Ryu vs Bison the most awaited match of the century because this is about the end of Shadaloo in this time and Ryu defeats Bison like the usual expectation. Your examples doesn't justify to the issue because it only represents your preferences and it isn't my issue at all because it isn't the issue here.

    I'm okay whether it was Ryu or not giving the final blow to Bison. Your to much onto Ryu vs Bison but it isn't the point here I'm not talking about Bison's or Ryu's acting and performance it's like your just really intentionally avoiding it and skipping it by throwing random misleading examples because what I am saying is clear. I wasn't even talking about Chun li... because that is what atleast she could do after the fight.

    Your seeing this in a tournament perspective that makes it wrong because it is not and Ryu didn't had something special with Bison. He's just an obsess madman in Ryu's perspective far from Akuma or Sagat and even worst than Adon. So your examples doesn't justify it to be correct other than what you want it to be atleast like.

    The case here it is not. This is not a tournament dude and this is not a rivalry. This is just a staged final fight and with "no" emotional transition (not Ryu and Bison) is a bad story telling.

    I'm not surprised that what you mean to be bad and "underperformed" is more into Bison and Ryu? it's all your focusing and centered into. I myself had no issues with there dialogues I'm fine with it that's the only thing that was correct in that part.

    SF2V and SF2AM had the greatest final moments than SFV while having the same Ryu out matched Bison.

    SF1 Interpretation and lore fixes

    Since SF1 has no concrete story, here is my thoughts on the lore from possible sequences and order including the possibly unbeatable participant Gen.

    Blizzard will release a remake of Diablo inside of Diablo III as part of an upcoming “20th anniversary” patch, the company said today. It’ll include a 16-level dungeon and the four main bosses from the first Diablo.

    Maybe this already comes into the minds of Capcom and I hope they would be doing flash back retold of the previous consist of 16 matches. Been doing this since i have heard the news on remaking the first diablo, I try my best to divide to create a rough draft mock up that balance the possible matches and new characters. Correct me if I'm wrong in the sequences of the matches per episode Thanks.

    Redux Episodes - are event confirming matches simple quick flow every episode brings 4 new characters per episodes with 16 matches. It's non-cinematic but with illustration like that individual story mode.

    Improving Ryu characterization without being overrated

    Ryu is always a character of self perseverance because he is motivated and committed to seek self improvement and self-betterment, Ryu is a character that aged well and trained with a master like Gouken that treated him as his closest, His lifestyle is pure devotion to training and perfection for technique to improve himself unlike others that are divided in different areas.

    His idea of self perseverance (SELF) does not make him selfish because it is about self improvement and self-betterment without risking and sacrificing others for his cause, His encounters are conflicted to his principles and morals because they are people that would endanger the life of others for their idea of self perseverance which are causes of self betterment and self improvement.

    His resistance and hesitation to SNH is not just because of his traumatic experience after Gouken's mistaken death at the hands of Gouki but rather it serves more of a reminder because SNH is conflicted to his master and surrogate parent ideals which is a more stronger influence to his character. His regretful to his former action that results to a victory by the use of SNH after knowing the mistaken death of his master ideals so he rather choose to better SNH by the ways and ideals of his master,

    It serves as a reminder to him of his master's desired path to him, Which is fruitful in SF3 timeline because Ryu did become stronger and better compared to SNH/Evil Ryu. Unlike other pop culture icons like Peter Parker and Bruce Wayne that is portrayed to practice emotion restraints to those responsible to the person to their cause. Ryu is different in fact his not out for vengeance to bring justice to his master and surrogate parent, His not also into a personal vendetta against the murderer because he show no resentments against Gouki.

    Ryu is independent as a character so has no commitment to other things than his principles and morals. Ryu is a protoganist but not a hero, His not a character devoted to help the weak and oppress but he would help the weak and the oppress if he was into that situation and location but it will never change the course of his journey to self improvement and self-betterment. His is never the guy that would stay for the rest of his life to dedicate, protect, guard, stand, majority and fought a specific person, city, nation or an organization. Ryu is not motivated and committed to those ideas. Ryu is not also a "Crime Fighter" his a Street Fighter. What makes him help other people is because they are part of his journey to self improvement and self-betterment.

    Ryu is committed and motivated to self-improvement and self-betterment but he ain't selfish or will not betray others for the sake of those, His no Batman/Bruce Wayne that would stay up at night and patrol the city. His not a character committed to a cause of servitude like Superman and Spider-Man that will dedicate their life to a cause because their biological parents and adoptive parents told them so. Another thing Ryu is also not a character that is motivated by appreciation, recognition and attention.

    I would like to use this video from Virtua Fighter Akira since it's more akin to a Ryu we deserve than what other popular iteration gives.



    If we would seek a relative to his character, Ryu has a tiny bit of Kenshin Himura from Samurai X because of his past and Kintaro Oe from Golden boy from motivation like study study compare to the likes of Goku and especially the likes of western iteration of Goku. Ryu is never been a hero but he can be a guide and savior to those that become a part of his journey. Which makes him more easy to relatable with or makes him more as a person or more human than the rest of the popular fictional characters.

    Things that should be avoided on Ryu story progression

    Introducing Gouken and Goutetsu relatives are okay but always keep them in a more lower interaction and impression on how Ryu values Ken and Gouken relationships. No romantic interest drama should never be a Ryu thing as a distraction since he is an aged person already. What shouldn't be explored or emphasize is about Ryu's biological parents or somewhat siblings, It is intriguing for a momentary appeal but it doesn't make him interesting other than being ordinary. A family motivated character should best stayed with Guile and Ken, while Ryu is being preserve as a more moral version of Akuma that also seek self betterment and self improvement.

    Ryu has been an original character throught the decades especialy in the 90's he may have begin to have took some inspiration from other characters but Ryu has develop his own identity which other tries to copy. I don't want to see Ryu someday turned into somebody else like a crime fighter, family man or something else that would alienate those have known him from the past.

    I did this to emphasize some aspects of him, without turning him to a Goku, Superman, Batman or be a another wannabe trying hard copy cat anime or whatsoever pop culture character to appeal momentarily. This is more than the goal to avoid Ryu turning into a hero but also to elaborate the type of protagonist he was while not as turning him into a main protagonist. While it will also avoid SF Universe to be on a world of deities, gods, aliens, spiritual/astral world, zombies, parallel dimension and etc that will complicate story progression that would also likely lead into a reboot because of total alienation. I'll follow up with how to deal with organization.

    I always like to see Ryu as a character of initiative, team player and experienced not a strategic character and a trump card.

    Some one who points vulnerability of assumed indestructible and invinsible opponents not by words and for direction but by actions through his fist then everyone follows to that opening that will turn the imposible tides of combat. I don't want him the character that gives the final blow or the spotlight of power.

    That's the best character progression of Ryu that I could ever imagine upon as a avid Ryu fan without the trump card cliche that is boring and overated.

    Him being the deus ex machina is tiring his meh standard of his character since there is no such thing supposed to be the superman and goku in SF franchise.

    He should stay as a protoganist in backstories but he shouldn't be the hero of the main plot or even backstories where he would be relevant.

    Since Ryu is a character that represents not victory, power and strenght but hope through will, dedication, passion, patient and virtue by fist not words.

    I like the way that Ryu talks to Hulk about management.

    I would hate it if Capcom would turn the likes of Ryu and Akuma to be confused individuals or be someone trying to prove themselves to the world or to someones standard it makes them not to think like their age and experience.

    Ryu has already establish his own character since SF2 and alpha so as progression he shouldn't end up to be another wannabe trying hard copy cat anime or whatsoever popculture character to appeal momentarily.

    Ryu isn't a hero but he is a protoganist and an ideal person adored by skills and dedication not by relevance to achievements. The hero role should always be Chun, Guile, Nash and Gief.

    Thoughts on Ryu progression both story wise and game play wise
    It's really hard for Ryu to have a better conclusive story direction after SF3s without the possibility of messing him and destroying his character purpose in game and future sequels.

    That's why I'll rather make him stay as is, Ryu shouldn't be in a situation of having family, being parent or having a parent, He shouldn't even supposed to have a personal vendetta to any organization by what so ever means. Then he shouldn't have any new personal attachment other than the previous like Ken and Gouken.

    The only thing that I believe to make Ryu effective and sensible is for Ryu to have a personal vendetta is when Ken is in danger or in a tragedy which is unlikely in this state and should not happen because it's to early.

    If that would even occur it should be in far time when Mel is all grown up like 20s and Ken is aged enough that cannot fight for himself like he used to, Where Ryu decided to teach personally Mel his ways and his fathers, That enough as a personal vendetta by training Mel to go out to whom that made his father suffer rather than Ryu personally seek out.

    For now I want Ryu to stay as is being a recurring character as usual in subsequent sequels but with new ideas like always having a new secondary version of hadoken and super that will superseded the previous version of it in every SF games sequel to make him look like trying to incorporate Oro's teachings in his moves instead of replacing it.

    Storywise this is to reflect his state under Oro's mentorship of improving his Ki manipulation to incorporrate to his techniques, Rather than gaining Oro moves instantly or gradually to replace his which is a shitty lazy idea at all that destroy his character iconic representation.

    While this would also be exciting for the follower of him to know what Capcom would come out with the new iteration of Ryu's secondary version of hadoken and what would be his new super in future SF game sequels instead of altering and replacing his moves to be like Oro or him be like Oro which is a lazy idea.

    Why not make him play like Oro? Because it is irreversible in time that will mess and gamble his branding. That can only be fix by a total reboot.

    Learning new special moves is what Ryu should have been in future SF sequel games rather than defeating new bosses with power ups and Ryu should not be change to a new character overall with different move set then play like somebody(Oro) just to justify a story progress in a lazy and quick representation. Ryu playing like Gouken or Oro is not a good game design from branding perspective and even story progression.

    Ryu had already enough power ups like Mu hadou and he should not be gaining new power ups like DBZ which is a meh direction because it will lead into bizarre power levels and enemies like aliens and deities. Secret Society and Necali is already enough to be explored on those areas.

    Ryu's role in-game in future SF titles
    I really want Ryu away for a while but still selectable in game because of other characters veteran and new characters seeks him like Alex and Oro does. Thats the best direction to him and not something into seeking someone to be his apprentice that makes him old and there is too much apprentice trend already IMHO

    If Ryu would needs to guide someone personally I would recommend Mel beginning early twenties. because that seems a strong personal direction for Ryu to break from being a lone nomad. if ever it would not just another of this cliches "this guy got potential"... It's like Picolo changing mindset to suddenly train Gohan.

    ALex could just defeat the current Secret Society under Gill, Thats interesting to happen and to make Urien secretly having his own organization based from Secret Society members and former Shadaloo people.

    Ryu and Akuma relationship and connection
    I'll rather see Ryu and Akuma spend there lifetime to self betterment and isolation or either for Ryu with Oro. It's like they are the Ultima and Omega weapon of the series like in FF. Like they are always in a stale mate situation in rare case they would encounter. Ryu under Oro's training should be long duration like 10 years not 5 to make it seem interesting and just, but it's not to change and replace Ryu's moveset or fighting style but rather to add new techniques or enhance his special moves.

    Something like in every game Ryu had different new introduce of super and variation of secondary version of hadouken that superseded each of it's past iteration which makes it unique in every game he would appear instead of recurring special move. Story wise to emphasize that he is experimenting various styles of Ki manipulation under Oro's teachings.

    While the likes of Urien, Alex and Ed would be the spotlight of the story direction. Since we had enough new blood to pursue and be interesting to captivate audiences. This includes RS and waifus.

    Then the likes of Viper, Vega and Juri would go involve always in such kind like they are paid and rent mercenaries.

    Chun, Guile, Zangief, Shin and Cammy or Abel would re-appear if there country is involve in such conflict since they are the special kind of people that is sent to fight by their country.

    Then Bison and Fang would be also selectable character but the story involvement is always the background part like in early SF4 videos. Like gathering left overs and information of the matches.

    Agree with Ryu story in Sf3 was a brilliant in the part of Capcom that make him flexible.

    RUFUS AND EL FUERTE FIXes : Plots and motivation
    Quite busy for awhile since I am studying for new stuff for different career path. I have been lucky to have spare time to think about Rufus and Ken relastionship and character progression.

    HOW TO FIX RUFUS!!

    Character motivation standpoint:

    I think the only way to fix Rufus is make him a person not fighting for fortune and fame but as a character with kindred spirit that is ambitious and passionate to strive as a martial artist for personal cause to for someone relevant to his life or for charity to an orphanage he was raise into that he went into a tragic trauma towards a particular event of defeat a moment that causes him a emotional breakdown that change and destroys/breaks him internally/within to deny and alter the truth of his experience/reality and adopt to the future situation and the outcome of his defeat.

    The defeat can be either:

    He can be defeated by guys/group of martial artist who look up to Ken Masters, So technically he never met Ken personally other than have personal grudge because of being confused and oppressed using Ken's name as justification.

    And lastly defeat from Ken Masters that he consider as the obstacle to his passion and dedication to his good cause. So in Ken Master perspective it was not personal unlike Rufus that went loose after a particular defeat.

    After his defeat in the major martial arts comepetition, his career and sponsors turned him down that went him to obesity but despite this he maintain his fighting prowless and gain new techniques. So he ended up into underground like pit fights and street fighting as a living after being turned down by distrustfull sponsors that rejects him because of being judgemental to his physique rather than his skills.

    This makes him a interesting character like how they did to Boxer lately. While it also automatically corrects his character for future iteration.

    Personal thoughts on the current Rufus:

    Rufus is an interesting character in gameplay and even in aesthetics even he is a Bob ripoff, What makes him terrible ia just the plot and motivation. IMHO.

    I would like an interaction to him to Sean in the future that would help him know Ken in a different perspective not just a tournament competitor or a previous champion that he has known to be an obstacle to his cause. I want Ken to help and support Rufus something like that it would be also a good story direction to end his character if Capcom want to pull down the curtain to him without making him poorly written character and also not making Ken an arrogant prick, douche and mean while clearing both Rufus and Ken relationship without any future complication.

    And no SJW plots and motivation because instead of making the character relevant and rational it turns him instead to a propaganda tool that tries to push believe or convince a cause, even how hard they would effort to hide. It's better to see the character as a realistic person that has everyday life consequences not by his own choices that revolves towards as a cause but by every person that is involve in his goals that has their own personal ideas of growth and ideas of betterment not in a villanous perspective but as a casual person.

    My problem with El Fuerte is his fighting quotes and dialogues says to much on cooking.. His likes in cooking overlaps too much.

    Beeing a cook or loving to cook should been a side note to color his character not something to talk and brag about when fighting. Or used foods and cooking to belittle something in fighting. It's like forced and overrated.

    While the difference with Hakan talking about Oil is okay because his fighting style revolves into utilizing Oil as a combat discipline. it's like Bison talking about Psycho Power and Gouki talking about SNH in dialogues and win quotes.

    That why I like Hakan.

    SF1 and SF2 Preferences and Direction

    Amazing to know that there was a variant idea of Ryu didn't fight Adon and SF1 wasn't a tournament.

    Honestly I prefer that because it is less complicated and fit's whatever happens in SFZ and SF3 making things not a tournament.. While Ryu defeating Sagat along with Adon grudge are the only important events that is needed.

    Since Birdie, Eagle, Gen, Retsu, Lee and Geki involvement in SF1 has no significant effect that would make SF of today to be meaningful. Sagat defeat was the strong point for the reason along with Bison eyeing to Ryu because of Sagat's defeat in his hands. Capcom screwed up with Gen and Birdie already.

    I like the tournament vibe in fighters since before honestly like KOF and World heroes but the strong points of SF story is more suitable to more Samurai Showdown way story progression than the likes of a tournament vibe like Tekken 4.

    All that makes SF1 feel like a tournament was in Ryu's ending riding a plane. The bomb continue screen makes it feel like a underground fight that seema okay but contradicts the presentation of the battle because they are travelling. Even KOF destiny doesn't know how to make a tournament appear in different placea of the world. Because travelling is for a fighter is a relevant for someone seeking for revenge, justice, answer, power and strenght that is more personal motives than organized one.
    I think it's time for SF1 to take a major retcon while keeping up the essentials like Sagat and Ryu.

    A lot of it's story and significant participant never met each other.

    Lee, Retsu, Gen, Birdie and Adon..

    The only throw away now are Joe, Mike and Geki.

    So they can also completely ignored sick white Birdie and the questionable encounters.
    Agree, That what it is because Capcom didn't have strict and organized plot. They are trying to reorganized but at the same time they became loose ly to the important elements.

    Capcom should brbrave enough to rewrite and restablish SF2 and SF1 to fit SFA and SF4 narative because they are the greater foundation.

    Akuma Fixes Updates

    There is still a bit of fix on that before jumping on SF3 timeline.

    By puting Akuma in a way that what he used to believed was not what it seems. The key to that is Gouken like making Akuma felt a fool by himself that he gave in to SNH and that SNH is something that he didn't know the full nature which makes him betray himself and accepting his fate. Something like a curse or a limitation that will destroy him internally. That would probably change his perspective in SNH and his ways to more that what he should supposed to be in the past.

    Trauma is a good character manipulator and there is no other thing that can change Akuma other than SNH.
    There is still a chance that Capcom will compromised with SF3 Akuma (I'm not also a fan of) .

    Oni isn't still canon confirmed as of now? but him being canon still have a chance of SF3 Akuma as a path

    I dislike the loose cannon of being violent, wild and sentimental Akuma in SFV.

    I like an Akuma that is ruthless, merciless and dangerous but not wild and loose cannon.

    Akuma as a grey man is an interesting take to further his stories and interaction to other SF regulars (like Dan, Sean, Mika, Elena and etc ) that can just see him as a regular hobo wondering not as a karate superstar, monster or one of the most dangerous existing man in the universe.

    While keeping the impactful and intimidating status quo towards the few like of Ryu, Ken, Guy along with experienced master like Oro, Sim, Gouken and etc.

    The awareness about Akuma existence not just by having to fought against him but either by sensing his ki or having seen him in an encounter in a past battles with others.

    I still like the idea of ST and CVS2 Akuma that is dangerous but not a loose cannon.

    Either villains and anti-heroes or anti-villain, Guys like this are interesting designs for Akuma
