Ha, I avoided this thread because I though it was another Smash clone from the name.
Man, I was wrong. Really promising stuff you have here, guys. Really hope everything goes well for you.

Saw Cerebrawl in the indie showcase at ECCC this past weekend. Aaron was chill as heck when talking about the game. Wanted to try it out, but the 4 kids on the sticks were definitely having too much fun to kick off. Wishing the Cerebrawl team nothing but the best!

First I've heard of this game. Really liking what I see so far.
Biggest problem seems to be collision. The attacks don't seem to have much hitstop on them when making contact. That's cool in a '90's fighting game sort of way but still makes the game come across as cheap and a bit unrefined. This game definitely does come off as a nineties game though, kinda in the tmnt sort of vein, characters look like they are ice skating instead of walking, as an example.
Hope it gets refined a bit. Also hope it has ggpo/rollback NetCode or else it's basically a worthless endeavour. I'll be looking out for this game. Subscribed to thread.
