Any update on the Makestick alternative or getting more Makestick cases in stock? I planned on buying one off the Makestick website, but $50 shipping for a $40 case? I don't know man.

It's still progressing. Prototypes are being sent to testers in February.

I'm afraid we're not able to get more cases imported. It was a trial getting them the first time, and IST is quite difficult to get consistent responses from. That is why we are unable to get another restock.

Two questions, would it be possible to do a custom replacement plexi (and accompanying artwork) for the Razer Panthera but with the Noir layout instead and a 35mm lever mounting hole? The other question is when you are expecting more of the Kowal Flat Mounting plate in. I'm looking to order some Crown SDB201 now that you have them back in stock but I'd like to get the mounting plate at the same time.

I'm afraid that I can't produce a Noir layout panel at this time. First, the plexi isn't strong enough to handle buttons without a metal plate, and you would need a new metal plate to have a noir panel and 35mm K-stick. I am working with some sources to potentially offer replacement plates for popular models, but can't offer an ETA yet.

Kowal restock required a full remanufacture, which is why it's been OOS for a while. Looking at delivery by early February.

So I'm looking to get another art and plexi combo for an semi-old stick:

    S8U21jt.jpg

I don't see it noted on your site if the Plexi and art for the HRAP Pro V3 will work for this, but I've heard elsewhere that these layouts are identical. Can you confirm this? Just want to check before I pull the trigger on an order.

At the moment, I'm unable to confirm without the Japan V4 hardware. Hori is notorious for slightly adjusting the templates so that the screw holes, buttons and joystick different across models that use the same enclosure. Drives me crazy sometimes. Lemme check my warehouse to see if I have this one purchased. If I don't, I can't immediately confirm that this works with the V3. It looks like a non-Kai model.

Ah...that would change things a bit. Can you tell me the color of your default control panel? Look here under the listing that says "DESIGNED FOR HORI RAP4 (PS3/PS4), RAPV (XBONE/XB360), SWITCH":

    https://www.focusattack.com/artwork-print-and-cut-for-hori-rap4-kai-rapv-non-import-kai-cover/

Do they match any of the models pictured there?

Then there is the V import model:

    https://www.focusattack.com/artwork-print-and-cut-for-hori-rap-v-japan-import-cover/

Look under the same topic to confirm that you don't own any of those.

    Again Hori is pretty rough when it comes to versions domestic and imported. They have a domestic RAP 4, but it's a Kai model so the joystick is further from the buttons, the screws are slightly revised and buttons are higher. I assume it's to accomodate larger hands from Western countries. That said, there are seemingly more variations than there needs to be across them, with similar names so it can get confusing. That's why I started putting photos of each supported model (that I had access to) in each custom listing so people could check. Sometimes people do, and sometimes people don't read the description when they put artwork services in their shopping cart. ^_^;;

Without an actual photo of your own hardware, I'm kind of flying blind, so I'm offering these as an attempt to pin down what model you have.

I unboxed this thing a few years ago and it's the same for the NA version since my friend bought one when it came out in NA. Here's a pic if this helps at all. Can't confirm the screw placement though, i'm not gonna tear off the original art.

Yeah, I see. Anyways, just for the sake of it, I got a picture of my stick, same exact thing. Should be this link, right?

Anyways, I think I'm gonna have to pull the trigger on this. Trying to get this think back in shape for a friends birthday gift. So I need to get the art and cut order in as soon as possible. If the screws don't line up I'll just have to tap new holes and make it work

Again I can't confirm without the exact hardware. While it looks similar to the MVC3, I have physically have it in my possession and check the metal panel underneath to see where the joystick, buttons and screws line up. With some exceptions, I usually purchase the model in order to test it. This is easy to do with other FIghtsticks, but Hori makes so many control panel variations of the same stick enclosure, it's tough to be sure. They have: RAP V3/VX-SA, V3/VX-SA Kai; RAP V (Japan Import, non-Kai but not same as SA); RAP 4 Kai. The model you own I don't have at the moment, nor the UMVC3 variant. If someone has both and can confirm, I'll be glad to add these to the appropriate lists.

@jmanDMC Hey, dude. I thought you'd be able to help.

So I have a 360 TE Round 1 stick. I'm looking to add the Brook UFB to it.

Do you sell any plug-and-play kits to add the board to my current stick?

I'm looking to avoid any soldering. These hands ain't steady. Could you offer any help on this?

I may or may not fully understand what you're asking for, but I do offer a kit of sorts for the URB - there was never any soldering involved with the UFB as it uses screw terminals or a 20-pin header that can accomodate a harness.

    Look here:

    https://www.focusattack.com/brook-universal-fighting-board-with-headers/

RIght now we're working on a restock for this specific model, but it contains headers that can attach different harnesses that we offer alongside it.

The normal UFB has its own screw terminals that can accomodate the existing button and joystick wiring from your TE. No soldering is needed.

Check the listings and also the tabs labeled "support" for details on wiring connections. If you run into issues installing, you can hit up support@focusattack.com and our Teh contact Joe Howell will be glad to assist.

Thanks :) - I hope FA can help you further if you need it.

Brook restock is on the way. This time of year everything sells much faster than the averages show, only exacerbated by two big games releasing the same month. That is partly why Brook UFB is nearly sold out.

Quick update: Brook told me last minute that shipment was delayed because of part not in stock (didn't say that until after PO was issued), and additionally a tight shipping schedule this time of year. Will see movement again late next week.

IST PS3/PS4 boards return by Wednesday next week.

I will check with @Jenni on when the next restock should arrive - likely within 2 weeks. SF:AE and DBFZ have pushed inventory out faster than usual, which exacerbates the need for restocks, it's is a bit harder to manage as you're importing.

@bluenine @Fighterboon restock has shipped and on the way. Still on schedule within 2 weeks. Likely to arrive by end of this week but needs checking in by distribution service. Should then be Monday the following week the latest. Most restock items are coming this and early next week, including Brook.

No - it was largely a matter of logistics. On the backend, it took months to arrange a shipment of the cases, and IST isn't the easiest to communicate with. That is why we sometimes go weeks without a restock of the IST boards. In the end, I decided that trying to get a restock going again wasn't worthwhile. I'm working with a domestic partner to bring back enclosures to the store. They aren't as cheap as IST cases, but the prices are reasonable, quality is solid, selection is good and expandable, and will support the new printing processes for custom artwork and plexi. I have a number of upgrades coming on that area.

Also odd request, but whenever you have the time can you compare Crown's purple battop to Sanwa's violet, Seimitsu transparent purple, and Crown transparent purple buttons to see which one matches the battop the best? My guess would be that the Seimitsu or Crown buttons, but I'd like to hear the opinion of someone who has the products.

Crown purple battop will best match Seimitsu or Crown. Crown has a darker purple color than Seimitsu. Seimitsu appears to best match the battop. The photos in our listings are sometimes taken under different lighting conditions, so they may not always represent the closest approximation.

Honestly I can't answer easily that because there is no objective answer. Qanba Obsidian is a solid and attractive model, plus mod accessible $200 stick for PS3 and PS4. Razer Panthera also falls into a similar category of features; it's very accessible from inside via its flip-top control panel, but it isn't as easy to customize artwork as you have to peel off the top panel's plexi covering. That's just my opinion, so if anyone else has suggestions for GhoostWhaat, can you step in?

Off the top of my head without going custom, MC TE2+ (depending on site), MC TES+, Qanba Obsidian, Qanba Crystal, Razor Panthera, Hori RAP Kai 4, and Hori RAP N are some choices. There's plenty of more, but at your budget I wouldn't even consider them. I'm assuming that you plan on buying from FocusAttack since you're posting the question here. That limits it to the Qanba Obsidian, Qanba Crystal, Hori RAP Kai 4 and Hori RAP N. Personally I would go with either the Qanba Obsidian or Hori RAP N. Obsidian I've heard lots of great things about and it comes with Sanwa parts. RAP N is my personal biased, I just like the overall design and it has a Noir layout. Only issue is that it comes with Hayabusa buttons and joystick which to some people are a major turn off. Obsidian is probably the best bet.

If you don't plan on buying from FocusAttack then unless you want something light get a MC TES+. MC TE2+ ranges in prices from what I've seen from $170-$220 (but it's mostly over $200). The Razor Panthera has quite the pcb issues so personally I would avoid it. Qanba Crystal if you really want blue leds in your buttons and joystick. Hori RAP Kai 4 if you want something different than your stranded black casing. This is just my opinion, but hopefully it helps.

    tl;dr Get a Qanba Obsidian.

Got an alert for your Brook UFB with the 20-pin harness. Just purchased.

I hope adding this to my stick will be a breeze but at least it'll be a learning experience.

Sorry about that - the distribution company I use now can sometimes mess up similarly named products, though they are improving. There is a bin system that the staff uses to refer to the correct bin for each product. I spoke to @Jenni - she said there it is possible that the staff accidentally placed the wrong switch in the bin upon restock.

There are several ways to contact us as listed on the site - the first I recommend is email to orders@focusattack.com. JJ is my dedicated customer service rep and will get a replacement set to you immediately. Provide your order ID so he can identify your shipping address.

@Jenni told me she will work with the team to get a consistent check in place following restock so that similar looking pieces or model names are in the correct bins. She is informing the team to get the correct switches (PS-14-D) swapped into the bin.

Thanks! I'm trying to improve all aspects of these things if possible. Shipping costs is a constant challenge as we live in the Amazon universe. I can't pretend to compete with that. When free shipping is offered, retailers are often still paying full price for it and hoping that volume supports the loss. When you sell small parts, and just a few pieces are ordered, that can eliminate the margins you need to sustain operations. That's the non-glamorous explanation of things; I'll keep trying to work on shipping costs.

International gets 15% discounted from USPS rates and 25% when orders pass $40. However the system backend isn't designed to show those discounts in the same manner that the front end will for productss. I'm trying to convince the shipping app to implement this so customers know how they are saving.

In any case, I'll keep working on these so the experience is better for everyone - thanks again for the positive feedback!
