This week's Famitsu list's KOF Maximum Impact 3 and Regulation A 2 (as well as Iroha's DS game - nooo) as cancelled.
Oh well, the best things about MI were Falcoon?s ideas, so? no surprise there. The funny thing is - Falcoon delivered exactly what SNK asked of him. Console games for casual players, with a lot of flash, packed with content. Seriously, i know people that to this day haven?t unlocked all the outfits and secret characters in MI2. That?s a game filled to the brim with extras and replay value. It?s easy to play, there?s a lot of feedback for minimal input? it?s exactly what the average guy expects of a console fighter.
But what does Falcoon get in return? A buncha fanboys whining about his alternate, optional outfits, making fun of his artwork (which is not even in the game) and the fact he?s overweight. The result? He?s fired and the series is cancelled. The irony being that Falcoon was hired because the fans demanded it. He was a fan artist that got famous.
Seriously, it makes you feel ashamed of being a fan of this genre. I hope you?ve enjoyed KOF XII, whiners!
