    Question I asked too much. DDS reference.

    Swapped E.Ryus Pants for Kens Pants, Swap goes good. Create new .Col.EMB, 1.dds , 2.dds etc, goes good. Get into assets Explorer, have to do DDS reference for all emgs. I have 5 DDS's. Because I added one. There were 4 DDS's. What do I do from here in DDS reference?. E.Ryus EMG for his pants is (EMG #10) The DDS for kens pants texture is the 5th DDS in Col.emb. So I go over to DDS reference.
    Input EMO - RYX_01.obj.emo
    EMG# - 10
    New Texture Map - 4
    New Normal Map - 9
    Output EMO - RYX_01.obj.emo
    Go to look at it in Assets Explorer, it's either the same as it was, nothings changed or An EMG I don't want on a texture is on a different texture.
    So what am I doing wrong?. Do I need to have the RYX_01.obj & KEN.obj & Col.EMB in the same folder as DDS reference?. I feel I'm the only one in universe that's been stuck on this for damn there a year. Lol
    Do I have the New Texture & Normal mixed up?. What if have more than 6 DDS's, i've been told i have to Reference all EMG's.

    Can someone help me.

    I have a Hair object that shows up fine in the Asset Explorer, but is invisible in game

    It is not an Alpha issue as I have replaced all the maps with no Alpha versions. still it is invisible

    The Hair(Juri's original hair) was initially toggled off, but even toggling it on, it appears invisible in game.

    But, in the vid when you change the emz to EMB it changes. & mine stays emz. What's the issue with that?.
    Also when I pick col #2 the swap is fine! No crash. Stays at Vs screen when pick col #1 but I'm sure that's because the files that was just said above. Awesome video!

    Firstly, this looks fantastic. Fine work mate.

    Secondly, this link constantly results in a download error for me, despite citing the file, the size, etc on the download page. I suspect I am missing something - is the "(key)" variable in the URL something we are expected to replace? Is there perhaps an alternative URL? I tried replacing "(key)" with my authentication hash for mega.co.nz to no avail also.

    Apologies if this has been mentioned elsewhere lads. I suspect this post may well reveal me to be a complete idiot.

    Open your emo file in your hex editor (here is Decapre's DCP_01.obj.emo):
    Us0Opct.jpg?1
    Decapre has 8 dds (4 in the col.emb & 4 in the nml.emb)
    0,1,2 & 3 are the dds of the col.emb
    4,5,6 & 7 are the dds of the nml.emb
    They are always numbered like this (col before nml, starting with 0)
    In yellow, link to the col.emb dds -> 00 00 00 22 -> 1st dds of the col.emb (0)
    In green, link to the nml.emb dds -> 00 04 00 22 -> 1st dds of the nml.emb (4)
    Edit those underlined numbers to change the links to the dds for this mesh.
    Remember you're counting in hex so after 9 it's A B C D E F (if you have more than 10 dds)
    (I don't know what the "22" stands for but it's always there and very helpfull to locate the dds)

    When you have more than one mesh per emg (here there are 2 meshes in the emg):
    1hA5D6h.jpg?1
    In blue, links to the dds of the 1st mesh
    In red, links to the dds of the 2nd mesh

    You can find emg with more meshes, so more links.

    You may have to edit every #EMG in the file. To help you, open the emo in SF4Explorer while you do the hex to follow the numbers of mesh/emg.

    But the screenshots are extremely misleading, as the tutorial was made seemingly using files backported with kensou's tools and that tool doesn't rewrite the dds references in the emg as they should (it's strange that it even works).

    But it's worse as most of the screenshots are dead.

    Its appears when you use SMD2EMGv2 smd to emg converter its only makes 1 texture and normal for a emg with more meshes. Does any body know how to fix this please?

    Make sure you have Windows set to show file extensions so you can actually change them.

    I don't think there's any way around that, so you'll either want to put all of your textures into one giant file or bust your model into multiple meshes that work with a single texture file each.

    Where would I find out more about Rigging Clothing Objects to Characters? and Rigging for USFIV in general ... and is it the same method for SFXT?

    That's because the costume is built on another emo (judging by the fact that her skirt is animated) so as a result to that all Juri default animations are lost. Now if you switch the mod to Juri's original emo then hairs will get animated but skirt will loose animation because none of her original emos contain animations for skirt. That's the limitation of USF4 modding and so far there is no solution to that.

    The video I linked above contains basic example of rigging a jacket, you can watch it to get started (it's made for USF4) and yes rigging for SFxT is also same. Additionally you can see these tutorials for more info about rigging.

    Hey guys. Got me some questions.
    I'm working on Manga Mask version of Decapre right now.
    Just finished the geo & unwrap now I just blocked in colors so I can make it work in game. Then I will finish the textures proper.

    Any clue how to get your custom obj to have 2 parts in the emo file like the original mask for decapre? She has the DCP_Eyes & DCP_mask as seperate. I want to do the same so I can add the same glow material to the eyes of my new mask but it always comes in as 1 entry in the emo file. Thoughts?

    It was obj2emg I think but that program is quite outdated now. It will be good if you export your obj as smd file then rig it using either Blender or Milkshape and then convert it to emg using smd2emg tool. Finally you need to use EMGSWAP to inject your emg in emo. Working with smd instead of obj has many benefits like obj2emg tend to produce UV glitches and it's limited to one bone rigging while smd can have multiple bones rigging and those smd tools don't produce any glitches.

    Sorry I haven't seen your edited post. In order to divide the mask into two groups you need to make more material groups using Blender. That's also explained in that video. As for the mask position, OBJ2EMG must have done something weird otherwise (head) is the right bone for any mask to rig.

    Ok, I'm back.

    First of all, I hate all of you ;) , I haven't worked this hard for a while; which kind of explains my last 2 relationships. I had a mess of a backup folder, but after @Kraga Phan‌ posted that amazing backup I decided to fix it and post it here. Most skins come from the deviantArt page and this here thread, and a lot of them had missing textures, files, screenshots or credits; this has all been fixed and amounts to a whooping 6.75Gb (uncompressed) of mods.

    Before downloads start, I'd like for @Kraga Phan (and his programmer) to check it out and maybe concatenate them into a massive, lets say... "Ultra Pack" torrent?

    @BrutalAce I am slowly working thru your video! Damn, thats alot of info! Amazing work BTW!! Very well documented! :-)

    @tibu Do you have an example of a mod you want to work with Tickle trunk? Did you download the "Greatest hits" pack yet? If so, unzip which ever mod you want & put it into the proper folder. eg CNL for Chunli. Run Tickle Trunk see if your new folder with the new costume shows up. Apply and play. If it doesn't work. Make sure all files in the folder as set to CNL_01 not CNL_02 or 03. Let me know if that works. :-)

    @Jaldaboath Wow man!!!! Great job on splitting up the mods into type. That is so much work man. :-)

    To be honest, the worst part was testing every single one on Ultra and fixing all the broken textures; I'm almost done splitting the mods in your pack into the folders I ended up making (btw a shout out to the maker of XYplorer -freeware-, I would have never done this without the ability to work wih tabs, mass renaming and whatnot).

    When I had to sort through the DA page I realized there are still a bunch of missing skins from the packs. I really wanted to get and update them, take the screenshots with your format and make a big splash screen for the pack but to be honest I'm a bit burnt out and I miss actually playing the game :p.
    If anything I'd like to make some color packs but the one I'm working on has been a complete nightmare.

    Also, have you talked to your programmer? A version able to place any mod on any costume slot would be invaluable. (also, buy him a beer and ask him about a randomizer!)

    @Jaldaboath I spoke with my programmer today. we have an update that may fix all the missing color issues. I am testing it out before we release it. Hang in there a bit longer. :-)

    This is where i'm at....I've modeled the mask. I've put it into Blender. I've assigned 2 separate materials for the mask & the eyes. I've brought in Decapre face with the rig and transfered the weights across to the mask. I've cleaned up the weights to be 100% to the head bone. I exported the Mask.smd. I used SMD2EMGv2 to create the .emg you see below.
    How can I get this .emg file to look right? I'm almost there...I want (mask)(maskeyes) but I dont want (UdonMask.emg). Thoughts?

    I check my .smd file of the Mask after I am done with weighting. I make a new scene import Mask.smd and I find the full skeleton and my mask. I test my head bone and the mask follows perfectly. I think I dont know how to make SMD2EMGv2 work correctly....:-(

    I know there is something wrong as I use EMGSWAPv3 to take my newly made .emg file and get this error...

    1) You don't need to transfer weights first and then clean unnecessary ones because here we only need rigging on one bone. The easier way is to first extract Decap's face as smd using emg2smd, import it in Blender then import your mask.smd (this will automatically borrow the skeleton from Decap's face you imported earlier), now all you need is to go in weight mode and paint the mask with 1 value on head bone (all red).

    2) Also did you downloaded the latest version of smd import/export plug-in or the ones I mentioned in video's end ? the latest ones are known to have some issues in exporting correct smd file.

    If it still doesn't work then PM me the mask.smd file, I'll check it out and let you know what's wrong.

    @BrutalAce Yah man, I got the latest version! Ok, I am downloading and trying the SMD Tools for Blender that you tagged at the end of the video. I will try with those. Thanks man. Hopefully I can get this working! :-)
    Finally got a hold of io_smd_tools-1.9.0 and tried again. Still nothing.
