I probably watched Kickboxer a thousand times as a kid. That was a great movie.
Pfft basically I saw...@MochaLatte
This is a good set, it shows off some of what ultradavid was talking about with NRS footsies. Note that the wiff punishing in here, though infrequent, happens at a much more streetfighter spacing. That's because the Como that sonicfox is using doesn't have that much range. In her scar wiffpunishes sonic foxes 2+atk xx whatever (I don't use dead shot so I don't know what move it is.. it's basically a low move canceled into an overhead)
Here sonicfox basically uses almost nothing but that one string. Scar wiffpunishes fox a few times for whiffing it.
This is also a good set to watch what happens when someone knows how to get around his zoning. Note that the first 3 matches aren't worth watching cause scar is getting outplayed in the mirror in the first 2 matches, and the first super girl match is scar adjusting to what he needs to do. Super girl antizones dead shot pretty good because she has multiple ways around zoning like the fact that her fireball knocks down in a trade and allows her to close distance on deadshot while he's down.
Also note that scar is AAing sonicfox rather well.
Sonicfox is using LOTS of stagger pressure in here. He uses the first low attack many times in a row because scar is good enough to be able to block the low into overhead. Sonicfox actually does as many as 4 blocked lows in a row because scar is fuzzy guarding the mixup very well.
This is exactly what I said would be happening in this game, having never seen it played, but knowing how the movelist works. Never doubt dime. Never. Unless I'm talking about sf5. Which is bad anyways.
