  • Re: The SFV Lounge: SRK is ALIVE. AE Hype is BACK! DISCORD going the way of DISCO

DBFZ is really not what I was expecting, but in a good way
Neutral is tense because approach options are easy to blow up, unassisted/no sparking superdash is a deathwish against anyone competent, IAD buttons also lose to 2h, vanish isn't an approach because you dont get to stay close off it and its generally not worth outside of combo extensions, snapback setups, or punishes, only a mixup in sparking

you really have to have a ground game, and the need for creativity starts kicking in when you have to open someone up

its a surprisingly deliberate game when I was expecting something a lot more frantic and spastic
at least thats how it seems at this point in the beta
looking forward to seeing how the game pans out over time, give me training mode so I can get some real combos lol

I don't know how to train it in myself to block ibukis left right. It's like he only move in the game where I'm like.... uuuuuuh.

    blocking isnt really the answer
i think you generally want to jab her out of it since thats always possible, at that point its a question of when the ibuki likes to throw the dash out
most ibukis have habits about that, maybe you noticed some of mine though I do try to vary it

by the way after ibuki's s.mk target combo you cant be crossed up by either grounded dash midscreen, noticed you ate that a lot
  • Re: MVC Infinite Lounge: DLC Characters and Costumes launch Dec 5th

really no point in blaming capcom fans, its an fgc problem
kof xiv set the standard in looking bad and their crew supported it
and all fighters these days have some form of dlc fuckery and we all buy that

people would riot if the game was bad but by all accounts it seems to bring them exactly what they came for
the most busted shit on the market: starring your bois

  • Re: The SSJ5 General Thread: E3 happening but Ono doesn't Spirit Bomb

after seeing gameplay of both games, I have to say all you "dbz is gonna kill marvel" types are clearly off
dbz looks like a very good game, a very fun game but it is clearly more controlled
there are what seem to be bursts, assist cooldowns are longer, no incoming mixups or xfactor/gem pop
meanwhile infinite lets you do whatever dumb shit you can think of

marvel players are staying marvel, dbz will have a broader appeal but both are here to stay imo

One character being grossly better than other characters is an issue, even if the rest of the cast are well balanced.

    See Chun-Li, S1 of SFV.

if only it was s1 chun
vanilla rev Johnny was so much better than every other character that it made me vomit in my mouth a little watching him do his thing
