Hi! We are in the final stages of the SRK forum migration. Soon, we will lock the forums so we can transfer over all the discussion threads. Please expect a downtime of a few days while we implement the migration. Thx for your patience.
Thanks guys for the suggestions and advice. I found this on kappa and it's very interesting imo.
I would have loved to have the ex characters back in a SF game but capcom is not the capcom of the 90s so I wouldn't want them to ruin yet another IP. The ex characters are really awesome imo and I think they could actually fit well in snk. I would personally love to see the ex characters in a fighting game with maximum impact characters and perhaps a fighting game engine that is based off NBGC.
Alright so I'm not exactly a good kof player but on fightcade I've been winning a bit more then I used to (I'm playing KOF98) and I have a lot of people mad at me for playing "too turtle." I'm a sf player and I main 3s and st so I'm basically playing kof without hops, running and mostly just walking and jumping/high jump. I've incoprorated them a bit more into my game but I'm still mostly a defensive player who goes in when there is a opening. I'm getting negative feedback though so I guess I'm wondering am I playing kof wrong. I know kof is generally a fast game with lots of mobility so should I just play in a style I'm comfortable with or try to change the way I play.
I hesitate to change because whenever I try to go rushdown style I get my ass opened up more easily. For example the other day I was fighting this really solid daimon who OCV'ed my main team multiple time. I was fighting him with hops and trying my best to rush him but daimon is a monster, I was getting destroyed for free. When I challenged the same guy again I decided to play the match like I would a ST match, when I did this I managed to beat this daimon. That's why I'm a bit unsure what to do, play like a turtle or rushdown.
