Holy shit! $30 for some shitty costumes?? Am I the only one around here who thinks Capcom is fucking out of their god damned minds?

$30 buys you costumes for all 36 characters, not just the 18 shown here. So it still comes down to less then $1 a costume. If anything, it's buying them individually or in packs that seems a bit iffy.
the pack is for the base roster so its 30 costumes.
you get the dlc char costumes with the dlc char pack.

at the end its still cut out content of the base game. so capcom is asking for 110€uro for the base game.

is it a better deal than sfv had?
yes, because this time you can buy it as a bundle...but that doesnt change that the single costumes are way
to expensive and that capcom as you for money on stuff which was already done.

It's still just optional cosmetic content you don't really need. I mean, alternate costumes still aren't a 2D fighting game staple (outside of a couple or so companies), let alone free ones.

ah, the its not something you really need card so its fine when they ask for a way to high price for it ...card.
why didnt you replied that way in the first place before you tried to justifie the price which didnt worked out?
    its part of the game...

people like to get the whole package. when you break it down to just the gameplay relevant parts
and start to sell all the other stuff extra it just get worse for us customers. its a stupid justification for that kind of
behaviour and no, not only capcom is doing it...the more you accept it the worse it gets.

i guess you would be fine to have just the basic training stage available for you and have to buy the other ones later
on for a full price game because at the end its just a cosmetic for the plane you fight on? or having just basic underwear for all the chars
and have to pay for every tiny bit of clothe or color?

Brah, it's just costumes. Optional, cosmetic content that doesn't affect the gameplay (e.g. not a pay-to-win situation), nor is it any sort of core mode (story, arcade, versus, trailning, etc.). It's not like any of those core modes are missing.

And we've already been through this discussion before. If you want a "whole package" in the sense that there's no DLC, then you better expect to start paying more for the base game. $60 today isn't worth the same as it was 10 or 20 years ago thanks to inflation. If we didn't insist on only paying $60 for games, despite what inflation saying otherwise, then maybe we wouldn't need all this DLC, or lootboxes, or what have you. But the fact that prices have remained stagnant, despite everything else, including the cost of making the game, becoming more expensive, then we have what we have now.

dlc itself as something which really expand the game and the experience with a reasonable price is nothing someone has anything against.
but when you start to cut things out and try to milk your customers with way to high prices then it starts to become ugly and no..money inflation is no excuse for it.

the "brah, its just costumes" part is already covered in my previous comment.
they cut out the dlc chars and try to sell them for 30 bucks...how is that not part of the core game?
so you would be fine with the example i gave above? pay for each stage/costume/color extra money because...brah, its just stages, costumes, colors?
you know..that mindsetting you have doesnt help anyone..not even yourself.
the next guy pops then up and claims that a story mode is not part of a fighting game because its just about fighting each other online so lets let them make us pay extra for it.
then the next guy pops up and claims that online ranked is not what fighting games are meant for. its the 1v1 sit next to each other versus feeling which is the core and most important stuff so lets make them us pay for being able to play online with each other (on consoles sony and microsoft already screwed you up with that part...).

step by step these things will get worse when you accept it. it all started out with a fucking armor for a horse and since then...it just got worse.
well..maybe it didnt started with it but its a well known part of the dlc evolution we got in the recent years.
