vanilla akuma couldn't do 2 beam supers in a single jump. however, he may be able to do the same trick i use to get off two air supers with him in ultimate; don't have vanilla anymore to test it though.why would you ever want ultimate akuma instead of the anchor akuma who can do 2 beam supers in the air...
you can get a guard break with most--if not all--the cast without assists. sentinel, for example, can do a late j.S on someone blocking(doesn't matter if the opponent is airborne or not), land, and then dash to negate the pushblock, into a throw. if you do it right, in training against a dummy set to break throws and advance guard, it won't be able to tech the throw.Interesting. Is the throw not techable after an advancing guard? Seems easily replicated by most of the cast with quite a few assists.
wolvie's tornado claw assist has invulnerable start-up frames when used as a crossover counter-- which is useful against aggressive foes--and if it makes contact, you can cancel the first hit(before his feet leave the ground) into berserker charge and get a full b.slash loop/combo. also, dante can use it as a combo extension. With Wolverine, can I just pick whatever assist and move on with my life or should I be picking a certain assist based on teammates/one assist no matter what?
The teammates in question are Doctor Doom and Dante (with Plasma Beam and Jam Session, respectively), if it matters.
wolverine's start up frames:Strider has a sword like Dante's but it has less start up, and once inside his normals have faster start up than Wolverine's across the board.
