This might not be possible but it would be great to not need to put a PCB for each system in your stick.
Universal PCB is what you're looking for.

Hey guys, as I promised, I've finished all of my testing and here's a detailed update on the new Korean PS2 -> Xbox360 converter.

-It's called XConverter 360 by Joytron

-Needs a wired 360 controller to be plugged into the converter prior to plugging it into the console, but once recognized you may unplug the wired controller and it'll continue to function without any problem including swapping different PS controllers

-However, you cannot use the same wired controller used to bypass the security to recognize a second converter or play with the wired controller itself, because it seems like each wired controller has it's own unique ID and the console doesn't allow 2 or more controllers with the same ID to be recognized and work at the same time (only the first one will work). You may need a wired controller per converter.

-Works perfectly with everything I threw at it: Sony DS2, HRAP2, HORI FightingStick PS, Mayflash (newest revision only), official DS1, knock-off DS1, Sony PS1 digital pad, ASCII Stick 3 Ultimate (programmable stick), ASCII programmable pad

    -No lag, no dropped inputs

-Reliable 60 frame input (ie. 1 frame links work very consistently)

-Has the "Guide" button on the converter itself, and the analog button on DS1 and DS2 pads also function as the Guide button

-Works well on the PC without needing the wired controller (requires the 360 controller driver for the PC to be installed)

-DualShock2's triggers function correctly as analog triggers on the Xbox 360 and PC.

-Supports racing wheel mode as well via toggle switch (position 1 is for regular controllers, and position 2 is for racing wheels)

    -Supports vibration

Also, here's the official item description page, in Korean.

BTW, I'm taking orders and supplying them starting now at $23 per converter + shipping.

    Wow, this is great news!

I was wondering, will it work with a wireless xbox 360 controller connected with a play & charge kit?

Sorry GameCop, that won't work. The Play & Charge Kit cannot be used to bypass the Microsoft security scheme since the kit only serves to draw power from the console for charging the batteries on a wireless controller. It does not send any sort of data stream through the cable from the controller. The controller still acts wirelessly. Oddly enough however, the P&C kit can allow a wireless controller to automatically sync to the console the P&C kit is connected to.

So, in short, no you can't use the P&C Kit to bypass the security. You can however use things like the Rock Band drums, any of Mad Catz's sticks or pads, any official wired controller, etc. The device HAS to be wired though. Can't function wirelessly.

Also, GODDAMN laugh, you're pulling through for us again! I'll be ordering from you in the near future!

EDIT: I almost completely forgot to ask! laugh, have you tested this converter with a Hori Real Arcade Pro 1 by chance? I'm almost certain it'll work, but I just want to make sure since some converters seem to work with the Hori Real Arcade Pro 2, but not the HRAP1.

alright i have a question about the 360 converter also.

would i be able to plug in a madcatz street fighter iv stick or pad to the converter as opposed to a 360 controller?

i dont have any wired 360 controllers but i have 2 sfiv sticks and 1 pad. so hopefully those work.

I apologize if this has been asked before, I searched briefly and couldn't find any solid answers

Has anyone tested a GCN to USB converter for use on PC? Specifically with SF4?

  18. #543
As soon as markman posts his review, I'll probably take one off ya laugh, I love my inpin(other than the home button turned a bit finicky, but it's not a huge deal) and this looks like the x360 version of that.

  19. #544
So, this thing with my current converter giving me odd button mappings on PS3 is a bit annoying. It's great for PC which is my main use, but at friends it takes so much time setting up the button config, which is annoying because I specifically made the stick with the same layout as the madcatz sticks to conform to easy standards.

So I was looking around for a usb converter that's made with PS3 in mind... InPin looks sweet, but if possible I'd prefer to not order internationally. So I found the DragonPlus converter real dirt cheap in a store here.
My pcb is from a cheap (and very pink) PS2 controller, not sure if it would be lagless with that converter, but for the price it's worth a try.

Can anyone tell me if it(DragonPlus) maps PS2 buttons to the correct PS3 buttons?

^ there's a couple people selling InPin converters in the Trading Outlet that are located in the US.

Sorry, I'm not in the US. Thanks though

I might still order an InPin from laugh, this DragonPlus seems a bit shifty... Still, very cheap. Could be worth the gamble, and if it doesn't work out I'll bite the international shipping bullet.

Awesome find laugh, I will definitely purchase one if markman's review is positive!

any wired controller works with xconverter360 or is there one preferred over the other?

the mayflash and xfps both state you have to use an official controller, but i've used a madcatz with my mayflash and it worked fine. hopefully it will be the same with the xconverter360.
