So, with a general lack of spoilers so far, does anyone here actually think we're going to get to see FKT before Christmas? I would like to think that Giant Acid Baby, Million Gay Flower Petal Blades and Rusty ol' Katana could kill Yammy pretty quickly but this IS a shonen and we may be reading this garbage for quite some time.

Also, Soi Fon is B tier at best as far as cool characters go. Lesbians in manga/anime are always lame, especially when the character they love is sideways 8 stronger. Gay guys like Yumichika are typically funny though (see Saber Marionette J). Soi Fon though..... she's just pathetic. I think even Kubo hates her and wishes he could abort her but apparently settled for her losing an arm. Yoruichi is a BETTER ninja with HUGE boobs. She doesn't even NEED to use her Zanpakuto when fighting the Cero Espada. She MIGHT be a Vaizard and she was on Sabrena the Teenage Witch. What more can you ask for?

Which brings me to another thing - how "old" are SS peeps supposed to be anyway? Ages are all fucked up anyway, but apparently Renji, Matsumoto, Ikkaku and Yumichika can pass for high school students?

Rukia is at least 50 or ome shit. How long does it take them to look aged? With the turn back the pendulum Byakuya was like 12 but then 100 years later he's 30? So does that mean Hitsugaya really is like 11?

Soul Society age = the age you died at + ((X * your spiritual pressure)kubo plot nonsense).
So you can't tell how old anyone is by looking at them and since if your not strong enough you don't age.

Well, didn't Byakuya have a "wife" at one point? And didn't Shiba Kaien also have a wife/girlfriend in Rukia's flashback?

What's the point of getting married in Soul Society if they can't have kids? Do they get some sort of a married couple tax credit?

So, basically, you die in the real world, and then you come in contact with your dead parents, who surprise you with a new baby sister that was conceived in Soul Society.

I was thinking that it might be like South Park. You know when Kenny's mom was pregnant, and Kenny tried to cause an abortion. Then Kenny died and Kenny's mom had a son. It was the (6th?) time that happened and decided to name him Kenny.

Though being a couple hundred years old and the whole aging process kind of is hard to think around.

edit: it also must be a shitty life if you live with all this technology and modern luxuries then dying and going to feudal-japan kind of state. Does that mean people like Chad's Grandpa gets transported to a japanese-like place even though he like only speaks spanish?

You guys put too much thought into this. Which is infinitely more than Kubo does as the amount of thought he puts in is effectively zero.

He designs a character first before assigning whatever back story, personality or role he deems fit. He drew Shinigami in kimonos because he felt like it and made Chad Mexican because after drawing him he looked Mexican.

But here is something Kubo does put thought into. Chapter titles. Sometimes they are the best part out of the entire chapter.

Just look at this week's chapter. What happened? The four captains in HM appeared, Ichigo returns to Karakura and everyone forgets they were there to rescue Orihime. So what did Kubo decide for a title? Devil, Devil, Devil, Devil

Is he referring to the four Captains as devils? It doesn't matter what meaning it carries because Kubo has blessed us with other wondrous titles like

Spit On Your Own God
Dumdum Dummy Dumbstruck
Beauty is So Solitary
Gaol Named Remorse
Intruderz
The list keeps going. And my personal favorite SUPERCHUNKY FROM HELL.

God I love Bleach titles.
