Was this entire project handled by an intern? I'm not trying to be sarcastic, I'm genuinely curious. From the beginning, IGN has treated the EVO coverage as an afterthought. The layout is horrendously organized, they've taken 4 months to do a project that should have taken 2 weeks MAX considering the minimal amount of editing they've done, and now they've apparently lost some footage? I bought the one year subscription on good faith despite my better judgment after many poor experiences with IGN in the past. I really hope the EVO organization finds a more capable partner next year.

yeah scott noticed that pretty much the entire 2nd round on the 5 on 5 was missing.

I did want more HDR matches like graham eliminating daigo in the semis and such.

My feeling is that the Evo staff tried to do the right thing. Digital downloads are clearly the future in comparison to DVDs. But IGN has done a really terrible, terrible job. I hope that Evo uses a different partner next year.

Can we get somebody high up with SRK to talk to IGN and find out what the hell is going on? The last update was posted over 3 weeks ago, 7 videos, 2 of which are broken and not fully uploaded. And yeah, they uploaded the 5on5 finals, but skipped all the semi final matches everybody was waiting for.

I like this idea. I think the IGN customer service has been appalling.

Here's the thing.

Is the IGN deal better than the previous years' Evo DVDs? Yes! There is more content, and we do get it faster.

Is the IGN deal as good as it was announced to be? Nope.

The main problem is that customers were promised X, then were actually delivered a Y that was worse than X (i.e. updates every month instead of every week, only a portion of the matches that were apparently recorded, an index page that only lists part of the uploaded videos). If the initial deal said "We will only upload new videos once every month, and only this reduced subset of matches", and IGN actually stuck to it, then basically nobody would complain.

The bait-and-switch is the actual problem.

Get what faster? PART of the product? So we get part of the product for part of the money, instead of the entire product? This is not better than the past Evo DVDs, in my opinion.

Really? I think that process sucks too. If I'm going to wait till the holidays to get the full amount of footage from an event that happened in the summer, then its no different than how it used to be. It's no different than what SBO is doing every year. The difference here is that we actually get the entire product (for better or worse, depending on the year), instead of getting an obvious rush job, getting it incomplete, and then wondering 4 months later if we're gonna get anything else.

Yeah, I think I'd rather go with the physical disc option. Any hope for Bluray going forward? This IGN shit is terrible...

Man I actually came here to check out what you all thought of the IGN stuff and what matches are on there cause I wanted to payup to get the matches, I figured that they would all be out by now so I would just go on a download binge. But now I'm reading this. Wow that is pretty fucked up stuff. I'm glad I waited. I honestly have always been a fan of the DVDs and own every single one, except for 1.

I was looking forward to the SoCal vs Wildcard matches where Sabre beasted with Sakura. If that wasn't missing, I think I would've been happy despite the other issues. That was really the last thing I was looking to download, and its fairly disappointing that such a hype match was lost.

Hey guys, thanks for the emails. I've gone through the tapes and at this point we've posted every bit of content we captured at the event.

Now, we would have liked to post every match that took place at EVO but as you might know there are many different kiosks and we could only grab a feed from the main stage. Will this change in the future? It is definitely possible - just let us know what you'd like to see and we'll try to adjust our coverage

Wow, the whole 5on5 for one, was all done on the main stage, as were bb and t6 finals.....

The HDR semis were posted, but they're hidden. If you click on any of the SF4 semis matches and click "view all" on the playlist section, you'll see them. Unless there were other semis matches that you're referring to.

That's the thing, only certain HDR semis were posted, even though many more were played on big screen. For instance, I played Jason Cole on that same setup, yet the video of that match is not uploaded by IGN (there's shakycam footage of it somewhere on YouTube, though).

The whole reason I signed up for this was to see SabrE demolish on the main stage with Sakura - and I dont even get to see it. SabrE if you get a copy of that, please send it my way.

I know you guys tried, but I'd be happy to help editing and uploading vidoes next year, and would be happy to help coordinate with James to get that done. We could do a better job using YouTube.
