"Check out my new arcade stick!" Thread (Do not quote images)
Hey, What I would like is for people who have either bought or made a stick for themselves to post here with pictures of the stick and some info about it.
I dont really want this to be a thread for builders to advertise but of course if you are a builder and have made a stick for your personal use please post.
I will get us started.
I bought a Byrdo because it was his site and his sticks that made me want to make my own. Its hard to show in pictures how nice this is but I hope you get the idea.
First inside. You can see that the top is made from metal making the stick very sturdy, also the bass fits inside the bottom of the case which is very clean.
This is the bass which is covered with a kind of rubber foam, not sure exactly. But its great stuff which grips well.
The stick is sloped from the back to the front which is not easy, also if you look at the routing on the sides it gets thinner towards the front which is also very clever.
I never used to like un-mitred corners but Roberto has changed my mind, when they are cut as sharp as this and sanded smooth they give a very nice look. Also you can angle and carve the corners without mitres.
All in all a great joystick, thanks byrdo.
This is the one I made myself, It has been posted before so I will just put one picture here.

Is this only restricted to Sticks made from scratch? Or does it also include Modded sticks?

Alright then here is my personal favorite stick that I modded myself. I use it all the time.
Inside View:

Tubing around cords, to give it a clean look, Microswitches are of a high-end quality that have metal plates on them to reduce sound. So they almost sound as if you aren't pressing anything at all. very reponsive too. PCB is of a wireless Naki arcade stick. Sanwa buttons and stick.
Bottom View:

Solid rubber feet that are pretty big to ensure that the stick remains on my lap when I Play, and on any surface. Painted bottom case. and a glimpse at the battery case neatly lodged in the location.
Top View:

Painted Agetec Case, Custom art. Painted buttons as you can see with a custom made dustcover that I made myself. On - Off Switch at the top.
Side View:

Again paint job with the sawna 24mm buttons. (kinda look like eyeballs don't they...)
There you go, this is my personal stick that I take everywhere, and seems to get alot of attention from others. Which really makes me proud that I own it. I'm working on 2 other sticks, (one you can see in the top left hand corner, its my new Namco mod that I'm doing,) when I finish I'll be sure to add more pictures. Also I'm making a "Special Edition" stick that will hopefully be even more mind boggling.

The button layout is completely original (at least to my knowledge) since it's based on my hands and me being as comfortable as possible when playing. X and R1 "share" the thumb and as you can see my other fingers are assigned to one button each. The size is based on me being able to fully rest my right palm on the stick and being comfortable having it in my lap while playing. So it's kinda big, 33x24cm and about 5cm tall. But to me, its perfect :)

Thats nuts! what kind of games do you play with it? I'm giving you rep for a new looking design.

Persona 3 stick.
http://byrdo.org/images/Arcade%20Stiks/Persona%201.jpg
All Sanwa parts of course. This was my first time using an octagon gate. Still getting used to it. The bottom is set up so parts can be changed out.
http://byrdo.org/images/Arcade%20Stiks/Baiken1.jpg
My first stick. All sanwa again with a square gate. This one has gotten random scratches on it and the wood is chipping in some places and I'm not really sure how it happened. =/

since the people at xs don't appreciate my work i know you people will. i actually posted these on this forum the same day i completed them. then on xs like 4 weeks later.
this is actually my 2nd completed work. sf:ac pad hack for xbox. happ competition buttons.
it's easy to use, however you use most of your finger and not your finger tips for the dpad. you can barely see it in the third pic but the xbox live headset communicator piece from the sf:ac pad is 'puttied' into the mdf .
the artwork is a collage from sinfest.org one of the coolest online strips ever.
btw, it's sad to see that baiken stick dying. it's such a lovely stick, maybe you can get it repaired?

the same way you use a dpad on a control pad, except with your fingers. :)
also, its pretty easy to use once you get used to it. i'm still not perfect on it like i am with a pad, but i feel comfortable playing with it.

I play MoTW, ST, Alpha 3, 3S, Tekken 5 & GGXX Slash, not especially good at any of ´em. But hey, as long as I'm having fun it's aaall gooood. And occasionally i play some shmups such as Gradius V, DoDonPachi, Mushihime-sama, Ibara and a few others.
Tsumuri: Thanks, that's the best opinion/review I could ever get
pxldtz: Really nice to see something innovative and totally unique such as your "stick"!
