Finally got my parts in from Lizard Lick. Did the Sanwa joystick and button swap for two Madcatz SE sticks. whole Lamilabel hijinks and everything.

I specifically wanted art from non-fighting games, next stick i make will be from Rhythm Tengoku.

Well, actually when I say that "I" made them it's probably incorrect. We're a bunch of guys up here in Canada (its not that Cold Eh!). We ALL LOVE Street Fighter, been playing it since SF1.

Up here in Canada we only got 2 Mad Cats TE Sticks Per EBGames / GameStop Stores. The SE mad Cats and the Joypads practically don't even exist either.

It was only natural that we started building these ourselves!

I'll post more of "our" sticks as they come out. My Boy Marvin is making some "Custom" Cosplay Images of our mascot "Eve" in an I-No Costume, Mai-Shiranui Special Costume, and a Chun-Li Costume, its going to be SICK!

Yes, I had to literally scour the Gamestops in my Area to get these, and ebay. I stock piled them a few weeks ago when they where $10.

Impossible to find now at a decent price. The madcatz are a viable alternative, although the newest ones require a complicated modification for the triggers to work right.

is that hole towards the handle for plugging in a headset? where are you finding those madcatz retro arcade sticks?

The Akuma Stick was our first try, and YES its a BEAST. It was a gift for our friend "Skinny" (yeah, don't take his nick-name literally). His Biggest Complaint was that the store bought sticks were "too Small". That comming from a 6'3" 285 lbs kid... Well, I think I've said enough

Right now we're having a lot of fun building these things. We knew SFIV would bring back the fighters... Never thought it would get this crazy though.

I'm going to change the buttons and bat top to red once the demand for buttons dies down a bit. I'm also going to re-print the artwork on glossy paper next time and see if it makes the colors pop a bit more.

Finished my stick in March, finally got photos.
Built it all myself, and it kinda shows. Began to get impatient and really just wanted to use it. Got a crack in the perspex but it doesen't seem to effect its strength, it just ruins the looks a little. Anyhow, I was pretty happy.

so....if i take a few arcade parts and put them in a cigar case(never seen one of those customs before) im allowed to say that ive seen all the slapped on a shoebox or tupperware case "customs" that i ever want to see? honestly man, if youve seen one,havent you seen them all? you have to admit, this thread used to have jaw-dropping customs. it still does to a degree, but all the crap ones takes away from the real customs that should be discussed and admired.

Again, I agree that people shouldn't be posting unfinished sticks in here as this really isn't the place for that, and it usually leads the thread off topic. You are still wrong on the shoebox/tupperware/cardboard sticks though. In some instances it is a case of someone simply being a copy cat and trying to "out ghetto" other people's sticks just for props, but in many other cases, people simply can't afford to buy/don't know how to build their own "high end" custom stick. Especially in this economy, things are tight for everyone and sometimes a shoebox/tupperware/cardboard stick is really all that some people can afford.

Hmm, I really don't think so. For the longest time I played Bomberman with an all- Happ stick. But of course I mostly use the SE stick for Street Fighter. :)

Made the color of Ryu fitting costume color #5 since this is what I use most time. Also buttons are fitting color.

I don't really know of any top players who use arcade sticks. It's usually just analogue sticks, pads or keyboard.

People play Ranked Tournament? I'm in the top 20 for Bomberman Live, but that doesn't mean much considering you have people boosting with their friends. Leaderboards will never be accurate; just look at SF4. It'll only be accurate for shooting games, providing people don't find some exploit or safespot.

Where does it say that? All the players I know of (shimonohashi, qutto, data east, zero360, ht taktaknet, releone, etc) use an analogue stick. Most people would probably end up using the dpad if the 360's dpad wasn't so restricted in it's frame, but the 360 dpad is just bad. We actually have an original Bomberman candy cabinet in central Auckland, and I find it difficult to use with a stick. I think it's just titled "Bomberman".
